As a new patient, I braced…read moremyself for the usual routine: long waits, rushed conversations, and feeling more like a chart number than a person. Instead, I was met with an experience that completely flipped that expectation. The front office set the tone right away--friendly, attentive, and actually engaging. When my name was called, I was greeted with a smile and treated like I was the only patient on the schedule. It immediately put me at ease. Janet (MA) ushered me back with the kind of warmth that made me feel like part of the family. Then I met Ryan (PA-C), who took the time to thoroughly review my history and talk through everything without rushing. Speaking with him felt like catching up with a trusted friend--professional, knowledgeable, and completely judgment-free. And then there's Gina, the phlebotomist. This is usually the point in any appointment where I turn into a nervous kid, squirming and overthinking. Not this time. I told her she must have eagle-eye vision, because before I could even mentally prepare myself, the needle was in--smooth, fast, and painless. She's operating on an entirely different level. At my old age, I've been through plenty of new-patient visits, but this was hands down the best. The energy was positive, the care was thoughtful, and I left feeling completely confident about coming back. #RSGHealthcare

The burning urination began before the treatments ended and I was told it was temporary. I was told testosterone fed the cancer so it had to be stripped as low as possible. What I found in researching after the fact was this theory was based on a bogus study from 1941 and the opposite is true. The testosterone should be increased to help control the cancer. Finally about three weeks after the treatments, the rectal burning began along with bleeding. As many as six bowel movements a day and painful. I went to a urologist for a consultation and was told all I am experiencing are drawbacks to Cyberknife and that I'd need to live with the symptoms. I asked how long they might last and was told indefinitely. All the employees were nice especially the day to day technicians but I hindsight I don't feel the consultations were honest. Regretting my decision six months later.

I Had a three very interesting conversations with Mayo today…read more Called Dr. Michael Bryan's office to make an appointment about lower back and hip issues. Wanted to start the process for hip repair or replacement. Nurse Halley was very nice and considerate taking my info. She attempted to make an appointment and said there seems to be a problem and transferred me to Garrett an account specialist. He informed me I have been deleted as a patient because it has been over 3 years since I have seen Dr.Michael Bryan June 2020 actually 3 years and 6 months for COVID testing. I said to him I'm in my portal and I see over 250 lab results and over 300 physician summaries since Aug of 2005. I've been a patient over 17 years. He said he was sorry and there is nothing he can do. He then sent me to his supervisor Kassie. She said she was sorry that I was deleted from Mayo and they are not taking any new patients. I said I'm not a new patient. I said to her when I was working we were told years ago to establish a family Mayo physician with Dr. Michael Bryan so when you retire your grandfathered in for life. No body ever said to me to make sure you go in once a year to keep current. I have a portal and I read my messages. Why did I not get some reminder to come in as my 3 year inactivity would cause account deletion infact the most recent mail I have is from Carol Carrillo dated 09/28/2022 to make sure I have regular Medicare and a supplement and that Mayo does not take Advantage Medicare . I asked Kassie to speak to another supervisor and she was sorry and implied she was it. Times are changing, we are being canceled and slowly erased from existence. Retirement is not what I thought it would be.

My entire family goes through Mayo Clinic health care. The have saved my mothers life twice over the span of 25 years and my 24 yo daughters life when she was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. Their scheduling can be their weak spot however I have noticed a lot of improvement. The doctors are literally the best care you can be lucky enough to receive - they spend the time with you and place patient care has a high priority. I was literally a shocked to see these negative reviews. I know I'd you are not a patient it can be challenging to get into the system however I am forever grateful for their amazing care thank you

I am writing this review from my perspective and also on behalf of my husband who was the patient…read more My husband was a patient from 2/15/22 through 8/31/22. It was continuous with 2 hospitalizations during this time. He was hospitalized since Nov 2021 then transferred to this facility on a ventilator. He was very ill, facing one crisis after another on a daily basis. I visited daily- mostly evenings/nights. I observed firsthand how he was treated along with other patients. The respiratory department provided excellent care, the Director Amy always was available for all of my questions, Janice, the Nurse practitioner as well. Her bedside manners were wonderful- she is very caring and thorough. ALL of the Respiratory Techs are great. They worked endlessly to make sure my husband improved and was cared for. This proved to be difficult much of the time as he was very sick. But they always greeted him/us with a smile, they were patient with my questions and they truly cared. They honestly went above and beyond and we are so very grateful. The nurses were also great, they were patient and compassionate. Always willing to help. The CNA's work long hours, were at times short staffed, but they still always provided great care and service. The Physical & Occupational therapists did a great job working with my husband. They were patient and went at his speed. They were successful in getting him to stand and walk. Calli and her staff are wonderful and they really know what they are doing! This facility is not perfect... no place is. The rooms are a bit small but you make it work. The facility is clean, the staff really work hard and my husband says he felt like family were caring for him. It is difficult at times to get through to the nurses, but they are quite busy, sometimes short staffed as are other departments. But I would keep trying and would get through. You can also request an update at the end of each shift which makes it easier to speak to the nurse. We treated all staff the way we would like to be treated and we never had any issues during my husband's lengthy stay. All departments were accessible, they returned calls, they welcomed questions and concerns and they were very helpful. My husband was sad to leave but since he improved greatly, no longer on a ventilator and able to continue recovery at home, we sadly said good bye. Any imperfections this place may have was greatly compensated by all of the wonderful staff- the care and assistance they provided!
