I have commented that the front desk needed more attention to handle patient call volume. He then had his front desk operator help me set up the Helo Patient software app on my iPhone. Once that was completed, his Office Manager met with me and took the time to teach me the patient basics to schedule my appointments, check on lab work results, and leave messages for Dr. Garg or the Office Manager. The program is wonderful and should be a favorable assistant to the Front Desk personnel, that the patients can control and utilize. The mantra "good help is hard to find" prevails in every business at the lower skill level. I am not willing to give up an outstanding physician when he has gone to great lengths to keep the staff employed for consistency and continues to find a way to strengthen and improve clerical deficiencies. This guy is a GREAT doctor, and worth the bother to get in to see him.

Then those transfer calls often get disconnected, so the cycle starts all over again. If you have been referred to this office I recommend you try another medical group, and be sure they take direct calls from patients. As I said, nice local staff but absolute crap corporate policy.

I have two autoimmune disorders, which comes with an assortment of conditions and issues. But what helps is if the doctor or nurse practitioner gets the original diagnosis RIGHT, and treats you according. For a year, I discovered that my NP had the wrong diagnosis listed on my conditions list. I discovered it, contacted them via email and advised them. My NP was on vacation at the time, so another NP emailed me back saying that the correction had been made and that my NP would be advised. Well, a year goes by. I switch insurance companies. And then the crap-storm begins. This office continues with the wrong diagnosis when updating my information, so my insurance won't cover certain products now. I find out from my insurance company about the conditions Village Medical sent over and it's the same from when I first started going there. On top of all that, my current NP treating me ignores me when I tell her some medications I take are precautionary only. Nope! She (Amie Horst) wanted for override the specialists and start saying it HAD to be for conditions I did not have. I was done. Please save yourself some heartache and go somewhere else... anywhere else!

I contacted the office while there and had an appointment by the next week (this was a late Thursday, early Friday event). Sophia (o.k., she's my favorite F/O person, just saying) has always been a pleasure to speak with when greeting arriving patients, scheduling appointments, calling on the phone, and messaging.

Unfortunately, that's when my experience went downhill. They rarely answer the phone, and that same issue seems to carry over to the specialists they refer patients to. I was referred for a sleep study, but no one ever answered the phone to schedule it. I left multiple voicemails and never received a call back. Later, I noticed an insurance claim for a sleep study diagnostic that I never had. I called the sleep office with no answer, so I contacted my primary care office. They told me they would look into it and get back to me, but I never heard anything. My blood work also showed some abnormalities, so I was referred to an endocrinologist. I was told to wait for them to call me to schedule an appointment. Weeks went by with no call, so I followed up. I was told it was strange and that they would send the office a message and have someone contact me. It's now been over a month, and I still haven't heard from anyone. I'm done with this office. I made the decision to take my health more seriously, and instead of feeling supported, I felt ignored and dismissed. It shouldn't be this difficult to get the care you need.

When she goes over your annual check-up she discusses everything in detail to the level of a normal person. She respects me and wants me to understand my medical conditions on the level as a patient. The office team are great. The wait time to get an appointment is long so when you make it you better be sure you can attend otherwise, it will be a month or so before you can get another appointment.
