I contacted this company late last fall 2001 after I noticed a leak in my basement from the flue that's blocked at the top. I got up on my roof and saw some cracks in the crown that I had sealed with calk years ago and they had expanded over the years. Rick and his son came out and told me the crown needed to be redone but it needed to be done when it warmed up. I asked if he could but some sealer in the cracks so they didn't get worse over the winter. Which they did. They came back the middle of May and repaired the crown. I also had him look at where the water was leaking from in the basement because I wanted to know if I should have him reseal the cap on the bottom of the blocked off flue. He said with the new crown there shouldn't be an issue with it. He could have easily said I should reseal it so he could make a little more money. But he has the kind of integrity you don't find very often anymore. I would recommend him to anyone who needs anything for there fireplace. read more

Complete Chimney Cleaning did a chimney and fireplace cleaning for us. The technician (RJ) that came to perform the work was extremely helpful and informative throughout the entire process. He explained what was being cleaned and why, and also walked through the minor repairs that he did on the roof. This transparency was very appreciated and helped me understand what was going on. Our household also has several pets and RJ was very considerate of them during the cleaning, going the extra mile to make sure what he was doing wouldn't upset them. For the value of the cleaning service, I am very happy! Also want to ensure that RJ is recognized for both his customer service and for his professionalism during the cleaning process! read more

Do not use this service. My roommate and I are 2 young women living in an apartment. We have a fireplace that we needed inspected so we can use it. My roommate very specifically told the guy to do the inspection and then talk to her before starting the cleaning because we wanted info from the inspection to make a decision about which cleaning to get. He went ahead and did the most expensive cleaning without talking to us, my roommate was home alone with this strange man in our home so of course she felt pressured into paying him because she was scared to stand up for herself with this guy while she was all alone. Not trustworthy, this is bad business. Then he didn't even provide a report! He gave us an ereceipt with an incorrect phone number- sketchy. When I found the right number, I had to call nearly 10 times over the course of the week to get the report. Every time they would say "we will send it right away" and take my info and then not send it. Over and over. You guys scammed us. You told me you would have a supervisor call me, that never happened. I had to actually harass you to get something that could have been emailed to me in under 10 minutes. Get your shit together. read more

Once again, Yelp's Request a Quote helped me find a great home service in Denver. My chimney needed a cleaning and a cap replacement and I was able to connect with Completely Chimney over the RAQ portal. Spencer made two trips to my home: one to inspect the chimney and clean it, another to repair the crack in the cap. Spencer was timely, professional and got the job done in less than an hour. Bonus that he has capabilities to accept credit card payments through his phone. Oh, technology! Spencer also gave some good advice about converting our wood burning fireplace to gas. They do not offer that particular service, but had a referral in Denver if I wanted to pursue. Not a huge priority right now, but good for future use. read more

I have used Complete Chimney Cleaning several times, and they came out today to inspect and clean 2 wood burning fireplaces and 2 pellet fireplace inserts. Spencer arrived on time and did a superb job. I will most definitely call Complete Chimney Cleaning again. They are professional, knowledgeable, tidy (no ash anywhere) and their pricing is quite fair for a top service provider. The owners have been in this business for a long time and they treat their customers very well. They communicate extremely well which is great. This is not a fly-by-night company. I highly recommend you contact Complete Chimney Cleaning for your fireplace and chimney needs. A+++ read more

They did a great job and arrived on schedule. Rick and his son were very efficient and did not leave any mess. I highly recommend.

Great family owned business! Was recommended by my home inspector to clean my fireplace. Josh was very prompt and they were true to their word, they cleaned everything up. Also, cheaper than bigger businesses for parts and labor. Bottom line: I will be a repeat customer. read more

They were able to get the inspection/cleaning scheduled within 7 days. I called two other companies and they were slammed into mid January. I was a bit nervous, but they let me know the night before it would be morning, rather than afternoon. Since it's a rental property on acreage out north, I needed a heads-up so I didn't sit all morning waiting. Gentleman called 30 min in advance, showed up on time, did a great job being tidy. Could not beat the price. $140 for inspection, cleaning and cap replacement. Forget the franchises. This family operation is the ticket. read more

Excellent company! Josh and his team are top notch! Josh called the night before to confirm our appointment and they arrived right at the time Josh said he would. He looked at my chimney first and told me honestly that it really wasn't that dirty and that I could wait if I wanted to or he said he could go ahead and clean it if I wanted. I opted to go ahead and have him clean it since he was already here. I'm telling you folks, that kind of honesty and integrity is really hard to come by these days and it is a rare courtesy for sure! Cindy was probably the nicest receptionist I've ever talked to. She's not just the scheduler, she's also Josh's mom and I can tell they really care about their business. Anyway, bottom line is I highly recommend this company. I will definitely be calling them back for all my future chimney work! read more

I have used these guys for over 6 years now and they are just excellent. Josh is always pleasant to visit with and he always remembers my dogs' names. The work that he is does is second to none. It is efficient, clean, and he always has time to answer my questions about making my wood burning insert a better experience. I would never think of calling anyone else and you should call him for all your cleaning needs and he does installs. You won't look anywhere else once you have used Josh's services. read more

We have a 100+ year old fireplace and were told by the home inspectors that before using it we would need to talk to someone with some more specific knowledge. The entire experience of working with CCC verified how important that advice was. They had a very obvious expertise in the area. Before even coming out they knew and informed us of all of the local history and potential pitfalls over the phone. Highly recommended! read more

I called around several places and could not find anyone who would service fireplace inserts. I had an old unit that had not been looked at in some time as we just purchased the property. Spencer came out, arrived on time, and fixed a few items that needed to be updated. great professional service all around. read more

Showed up on time and patiently answered all of our questions. Will definitely use again. They did a great job on our house with a normal chimney and also on our rental with a wood burning stove. read more

Unfortunately their general made a huge misleading mistake when telling us his crew was going to be on site working in the building from 9am to 3:30pm. We drove 2 hours to meet his crew. Got there a little after 10am. So then we called at 10:30 to see where his guys were and he said they were on site and that he tried multiple times to call them but they were not answering his calls. We then called back an hour later at 11:30 only to find out that they had already left. So to cover himself he then lied to the "owners" stating that my attitude was unacceptable and they would not be back. So we went with a different family & locally owned business. Very misleading to say the least. read more

Our experience with Complete Chimney Cleaning, LLC was great. Scheduling an appointment was easy and communication with Rick was prompt. Spencer was great. He called the night before as promised. The day of service, Spencer was friendly, informative and very helpful. We thought we needed a cleaning from what our inspector suggested. Spencer did not try to up-sell us or suggest anything we did not need. In fact his inspection noted that our chimney was in good shape and didn't need a cleaning at this time. He taught us a few things about our new home and we are very grateful. When the time comes when we actually need a cleaning, we will for sure contact CCC. Thank you Spencer! read more

Chimney sweeps: Rick, Josh and their team are terrific! These guys know their stuff. Rick is a veteran firefighter and therefore he and Josh are extremely safety-oriented. When I moved into my home, they inspected and cleaned my old chimney. During the process they were very careful to protect my floors from soot and foot traffic - leaving my home as clean as when they arrived. They made recommendations about upgrading my chimney cap but were not pushy or sales-y. They are very professional in that they call to confirm the appointment the night before and communicate the day of the appointment if they are running behind. Rick, in particular, has an excellent "bedside manner". In addition to cleaning my chimney, I hired these guys to install a wood fireplace insert. This took a small army to complete but, again, they were respectful of my furnishings and generally cleaned up after themselves. Josh provided me with a a full page of instructions about how to burn my first fires in the stove and how to test to ensure the appropriate oxygen levels. This was far more detailed than the owners' manual and greatly appreciated! After the installation, I discovered I had failed to order a decorative piece and could not attach it myself due to the weight of the insert. I discussed my situation with the office staff, who were very pleasant and accommodating. During the busy chimney season, it is not very feasible to throw in an extra trip without charging for the time. However, they came back to the house to help me as soon as they had a job in my area - saving me a trip charge for 15 minutes of work. I intend on using Complete Chimney Cleaning for my yearly chimney cleaning and other fireplace related services. I feel they are trustworthy and worthy of a long term relationship. read more

Chimney sweep: Not recommended. Josh and his team were prompt and courteous but seemed to lack knowledge. They had an issue removing my insert to clean the chimney and they seemed stumped. Something was hung up and the insert would not simply slide out. So after 20 minutes and 3 sweepers, they gave up, charged me a trip charge and left. Although after they left I was able to remove the insert myself 10 minutes later. Haven't heard anything from them since. I understand that they were fully booked for the day, but that seemed more important to them than trying to resolve my issue. Customer service was fine, but knowledge was lacking. My advise look somewhere else for your sweep. read more

Rick and Josh are incredible! They let me know that the chimney didn't need any cleaning (we just moved into a rental house), however, the chimney cap did need to be replaced and the mortar should be resealed next summer. The fact that they didn't try to sell me anything right away, but instead wanted to educate me on why they recommeded what they did made a very positive impression on me. I will definitely use these guys this summer and any other time I have any fireplace questions or issues. read more

We first called on Complete Chimney a couple of months ago to do a cleaning since it had not been cleaned or used in over 12 years. Jeremy was very prompt in coming out and the fireplace was clean, but one of the pipes was off set and was not connected. I decided that my husband and I could try to fix it, but after trying to match up the pipe and it not sitting right, I decided to call back out the professionals. Originally I was quoted a price a lot higher than what I paid, but to have peace of mind that I would have a working fireplace, it was well worth it. They came out on time and were very courteous. Said that they could not charge what was quoted because it didn't take as much time or effort. We came to an agreeable price that we both were happy with within seconds. I love supporting a family owned business that believes in what they do and take the time to do it right. The experience and the kindness and the peace of mind was well worth the two trips out to our house. Now my husband and I can enjoy our fireplace this year, and if anything goes wrong, or it needs cleaned, we will be using the services of Complete Chimney Cleaning again! I highly recommend to everybody! read more

I'm a big fan of Complete Chimney Cleaning. We've worked with them twice now, and each time they do more than just clean the chimney. They look for things amiss with our chimney and flue and suggest better ways to burn and tend our chimney between cleanings. Josh and Team did a great job of restoring my two chimneys and inserts. They were in bad shape due to neglect by the previous owner. Heavy duty flexible liners were installed and connected to my inserts. Everything is now safe and ready to use. Price was a reasonable for such a big job. read more

They Have cancelled twice... Charge 50 for inspection... But they do have cheaper cleaning than most...Had to find another company who came out even in the snow to test our fireplace and did a free inspection, and didn't even need to clean the fireplace... Spencer checked out and cleaned our chimney. He was extremely friendly and we felt comfortable with him in our home. He didn't make a mess and was in and out quickly. Would highly recommend him! read more

Fast, friendly and affordable. Spencer came out within a couple of days after contacting the company. He not only cleaned the chimney of our new home, but took the time to explain the construction of the 1940 chimney and offered future maintenance recommendations. Josh and his team are my heroes! I had a live bird above my fireplace damper. They came out the same day, put a brush down the chimney, scared the bird, he hopped on and voila! He was out. He shook himself off and flew away. I was so grateful. I never thought this was going to work. Josh also saved me money by getting a fireplace cap that was just slightly too small by putting in some sheet metal and glue. They were kind, caring, and efficient. Complete Chimney Cleaning will ALWAYS be my fireplace company from now on. read more

vacuumed out 4 blower vents said he got out mice and excrement still stinks really bad but not only that. I was told by State of Co that they are against vacuuming mice droppings in dusty closed up places due to HANTA VIRUS. My wife is coughing and sick ever since. I was asked if he opened windows first I said no and did he wear a mask no. They said Colorado has deer mice and breathing the dust from it can make you sick. I was told vacuuming is not good unless you bleach first. I am shocked they just vacuum without warning a customer of what could happen! I know they do it all the time well I had to air out my house and wash all my furniture shampoo my rugs to feel like its safe. It still smells like a animal decomposing! What was the point if the smell never left anyway better off just keeping it closed up and letting it decompose anyway. No difference except I paid them to do nothing but push dust all over my living room. My wife is sick. I assumed it was a hepa filter shop vac but obviously not. Also he did not get up on the roof and check the top of the chimney because it was too hot up there. I still do not know if its secured at top of fireplace so animals cant get in. read more
