As of today, I'm officially a homeowner, and I couldn't be more thankful for Steve Kim and the team at Compass Lending Group. I was introduced to Steve through a mutual friend, and from the start, he was incredibly kind, easy to talk to, and really took the time to help me understand everything. He broke things down clearly, gave honest advice, and always made sure I was making decisions that fit my budget and goals. I never felt overwhelmed or lost--just supported every step of the way. Big shoutout to Susana Lee too. She was amazing at keeping everything organized and making sure nothing slipped through the cracks. Her follow-ups and attention to detail made the whole process smooth and stress-free. One tip I'd give to other first-time buyers: don't be afraid to ask questions, even the ones that feel basic. Steve and Susana were incredibly patient and helpful, and having that kind of support made a huge difference. Really grateful I got to work with such a solid team. They made a complicated process feel manageable and even enjoyable. I'll definitely be working with Compass Lending Group again and would recommend them to anyone looking for a team that truly cares. read more

We started our home-buying journey back in 2021, and I probably asked a million random questions along the way. Through all those years, Eddie was always patient, never once making me feel like I was bothering him. He answered every call, every text, every email--always with professionalism and kindness. When it finally came time for the lending process in 2025, he invited us to his office before signing any official documents so we could review everything together in person. Even though he could have easily handled it over the phone, he wanted to make sure we fully understood every detail. That extra step gave us so much confidence and showed how much he truly cares about his clients. Fast forward to today, we are officially homeowners, and we truly don't think we could have done it without him. His guidance made the process so much less stressful, and we always felt supported every step of the way. If you're looking for someone who will be there for you from start to finish (no matter how long it takes), I can't recommend Eddie enough!!!! read more

This review is for Michael Rivera. I've been working with Michael since September to qualify for a home loan. After paying off my debts, he was able to get me approved in mid-November. Today, a month later, my loan is being funded and I couldn't be happier. He delivered what he promised and I couldn't be happier. I would recommend him to any of my friends/family. read more

I recently refinanced our home loan with James Kim at Compass Lending Group. The process was so smooth and easy. In comparison to when I refinanced with my previous financial institution this process was by far much less work. We didn't even go into the office until the final loan documents were ready to sign. We had strict timeline as we were going out of town and may not be around when documents would be ready and he did his very best to meet our time line. I would highly recommend James Kim for refinancing. read more

My mom recommended Compass Lending for a refi because she recently has done one for her house. Well, I have to give her the credit. She was right. My loan officer was Eddie, and he was quick to answer and even replied to my email during weekends. Solomon Kim was honestly almost too good to be true! We were super skeptical and cautious and didn't really receive the information well initially. Through patient consultation with Solomon our family was able to eliminate a higher interest rate and get into a much better percentage rate through a refinance! In addition he also showed us a way to decrease our debt load in order to create more breathing room for our family budget. At the same time we're now better able to do some remodeling and reinvest back into our family home! Thank you compass Lending Group for introducing us to Solomon Kim and for finding a way for us to arrive at a win/win loan!!! We highly recommend Solomon Kim for all your lending needs. I look forward to working with Solomon on future deals. Be Blessed and a Big Malo 'Aupito Christian Ma'umalanga read more

They are not one of them big dogs, but I guess that's why they are able to look closely and advise every step of the way. Purchasing my dream home was quick and easy! Of course, I was a little concerned because it was my first home. Now that I'm a new homeowner, I would definitely consider going with Compass Lending with refi when the time comes. read more

My family was looking for someone to help us refinance our loan, and we came across Compass Lending since it's located near our home. We were helped by Steve, who was a rock star the whole time. Steve gave us some really great advice on how to raise our credit scores so we could lock in a good rate - with how much rates are rising lately, this was super-helpful! With him, there are no silly questions or concerns: he'll walk you through the whole process, patiently explaining the details of what you're signing. I learned a lot about what to expect with home appraisals, interest rates, and escrow through this refinancing. If you're looking for honest, transparent folks to help you with your finances, Steve and Compass Lending is right for you. read more

It's been a pleasure working with Steve and his team. This was our first experience and we had a lot of stress looking for a lender. when I received the mail advertisement from Compass Lending Group, I thought about calling for about a week. I was a bit skeptical and worried "I hope this isn't a scam." I took a chance and made the call. George Arechiga answered and from that moment he made me comfortable speaking to him. We worked with George Arechiga for our mortgage refinance. George was so patient and honest with everything having to do with our loan. Any time I called or emailed him, he answered or replied right away. Anyone needing an honest, knowledgeable loan broker, ask for George. He will become like a family friend and fight tooth and nail for what is best for your loan needs. We've bought 4 homes and went through several refinances over the years and George was the BEST that I have dealt with. I wish I found him sooner. I even recommended him to my sister who he is helping her to find the best loan to buy her first house. Thanks George for not giving up on us and getting us the best refinance for our needs!!! I've started the financing process with eddie song on July 2020. It is now Dec 2020 and I have not gotten the loan refinanced. All I keep hearing back is that the loan is being delayed. I have provided all the necessary information promptly, but as the loan keeps getting delayed I have to keep providing updated entries of utilities and paystubs. The lack of communication from eddie and his team is irresponsible and stressful for the client. It should not be up the client to check in all the time. I have friends who refinanced months after I started the process and they have all been approved and finished their refinance process. Never use this company. If you try and call to speak to their agents or their branch manager you are always met with "they are out on lunch" or "they are out for the day". Not surprised my loan is taking so long. THEY DON'T DO ANY WORK. read more

I went through Compass Lending for my home. I worked with Grace and she was FABULOUS! She was professional, friendly, and attentive. I did not get the assistant's name but she was also nice. Mine was a cash out refinance for my mortgage. I went to other lenders for this but they all could not give me a pre-qualification. Compass Lending reviewed and advised what I needed to fix and patiently waited with me. I'm grateful that they were able to close with more cash back than I initially thought. They are professionals but also really friendly and easy to talk to. read more

Every time I talk to different mortgage lenders, I am stressed about how difficult it is to get hold of them. But that was not the case with the compass lending. The communication was seamless and they were quick to follow up. I prefer communicating with texts, so once I let them know, it was really convenient. I will recommend them and work with them again. read more

My husband and i decided to finally started the journey to purchase a house and we were both a little nervous about the process. A friend referred me to both Steve and Eddie. They were both amazing. Steve was so patient with both of us as we were searching for our first home. He was always available to answer any questions that we had. He was the best agent that we could've asked for. Eddie helped us get approved for a loan for our dream house. I've heard horror stories from other people on the process for getting approved for a loan for the house. Honestly, Eddie made the process so smooth that my husband and i did not feel like the process was a nightmare. He was always in contact with us regarding the process of the loan and helped us get the best rate out there. Thank you Steve and Eddie!! Raphael assisted me and my family with the refinance of our property. From the very beginning he took his time to explain everything without using real estate jargon. Not only did he lay out the options, but he helped us to analyze what options made the most financial sense. My wife and I used Compass Lending Group for refinancing our mortgage in November, and we were fortunate indeed to have Solomon Kim as our Loan Consultant. He was the perfect man for us, patiently steering us through a mountain of paperwork, professionally and politely answering our every question - and there were many questions - and got the Re-Fi completed to our satisfaction with a fantastic interest rate. He delivered every inch of the way. This man is a total professional, and beyond that, he is a wonderful human being. He treated us like a family member rather than as a client. He took care of everything in background while my real estate agent and I were busy negotiating with seller. Very prompt, informative, and helpful along each step that I took. I had lots of questions, and He was always available nights and weekends. Before making any offer, Steve, my real estate agent and I had a conference call which made me more relaxed and confident to see both of them available to support and help in timely manner.
