The service is friendly and attentive. The food arrived quickly. We ordered and split the large loaded nachos. They could have been a little warmer but I suppose nachos cool off quickly as all of the ingredients are spread out over a bed of homemade potato chips. There was a steady flow of customers but it was not crowded. They were celebrating their 20th Anniversary! So they must be doing something right! I must say, for a down home spot that I heard plenty about, this place overwhelmingly failed to meet expectations. Food order wasn't ready when it was said it would and the inside was just barely decorated to make you believe you were in a small town, family-owned restaurant. Ribs were undercooked and stuck to the bone. Coleslaw was horrible, and the baked beans were nothing more than pinto beans cooked in ketchup. Corn on the cob was water logged and the green beans were tasteless. I've never been so disappointed in the food of a small town spot in my life! read more

Everything was great. The place is small, but we were fortunate to grab a table on a Friday evening. We both ordered the Side by Side (two meats and two sides). Good BBQ places are known for running out of popular dishes before the end of the day, and this was no exception here -- so we need to come back to try the brisket. :) The food was great, and we enjoyed trying the different sauces to find our favorites. The best bar be que and sides ever! We chose Company B to cater my mother's 95th birthday party because their food is delicious, well priced and they are locally owned. We had family from 1 to 95 years and they all loved the food. The mac and cheese was a hit for all ages. The adults enjoyed the cucumber salad and everyone loved the choice of pulled pork or chicken with their homemade midwest barbeque sauce. Price are very reasonable and helpings are big. The staff have been there for a long time and are very proud of their product. They shared suggestions on how to keep the food until we were ready to serve. I've been there many times & Will return again. My favorite waitress there is KIM who is one of the nicest servers I've ever had. We can't stop talking when I visit. I was surprised by how small the place is when we walked in, but it has a very friendly, casual atmosphere and clean too. Food was out fast. Had the nachos... wow!!! They are awesome! Tons of toppings, and made with their homemade chips! The only thing negative I can say is, there wasn't a ton of meat on my nachos, but they were still some of the best I've ever had! Hubs wasn't in the mood for BBQ so he just got a salad (no meat) and a plain (giant) Spud, butter only. The salad was huge!! He said it was very good and the baked spud was perfect. I, on the other hand, wanted bbq! Since we hadn't been, I thought I'd taste my favorite "go to's" first. I ordered the Side by Side, which is 2 meats, 2 sides and garlic toast. I got the pulled chicken/turkey with potato salad & cucumber salad. Everything was really good! Both meats were super moist and full of flavor. I tried the 3 sauces on the table and chose the Sweet & Smokey to stick with. Their Specialty item is the Nachos: they start with their own thin sliced chips, made fresh all day, add a meat of your choice, then cheese, sauce and all the toppings. Had the 3 meat sampler plate, with chicken, turkey, and brisket. The brisket was SOOOO good! Not fatty flavor though, which most places can't, or won't, pull off. Our sides were green beans (very tasty) and cucumber salad. They used grape or cherry tomatoes in the salad, which actually had tomato flavor instead of the NON flavor of regular sized, store bought tomatoes! Nice!!! Key lime pie is to DIE for! I'm glad they stick to their guns on making only as much as needed each day. Means your food is FRESH. For you complainers out there, go to a CHAIN restaurant. read more
