Just took my 02 escalade in today and was out in 15 min . Best price in town and great customer service . I was told by the tech (leo) that my obd2 port had no power to it and instead of sending me on my way to try to get it fixed he advised me that it might be a fuse he checked out the fuse box and sure enough he found a blown fuse and replaced it and was able to continue with the smog text . You just don't find that type of customer service or honesty anymore . I would recommend this place to all my friends and family. read more

Passed my smog but because my intake didnt have a "label", the place tried to hustle me to pay an extra 50 bucks to say its good. Crooked shop, I DON'T recommend them unless you need them to help you pass your smog! Plus it wasnt even the 29.99 they offered on Craigslist, 50 bucks out the door, well 100 in my case because of the label. Came here on 01/03 to get my truck smogged. Was quickly greeted by Chris who then explained the run down of it and how long it would take. Took a seat out front and then about 20 minutes later everything was done and my info was sent to the DMV. Service was great and they were upfront about everything. read more

Almost went to the wrong smog place, there's another one on the corner right next to it lol I arrived Saturday morning around 10:30, so I knew it wasn't going to be an in and out situation. Everybody wants to get a smog toward the end of the month on Saturday morning. The guys were really busy. William took my keys and information and I waited about 45 minutes seated under a tent in the parking lot. The prices were just as advertised and they honored their yelp discount. They sent the information electronically to the dmv. There's a sign posted, "cash only" so if you go, stop by the bank first. All in all I would definitely go back. Friendly, reasonable service. This is the 2nd time I've been to Los Compadres, and I will continue to do so in the future. They're are a fast, pay or you don't pay service for smog testing. The guys are fast and professional, they get you in and out. Sometimes it might be crowded say on a Saturday, which I'd recommend making an appointment or go early when they open. Or do what I did just this afternoon and go on a Sunday. They offer a nice discount through yelp, which is sweet. read more

Totally recommend this shop.. Found them here on yelp, they only took around 15 minutes and were so kind. They offered me a cold water and had a place for me to sit.. Takes away from the negative feelings you have when you have to go get a smog! I will be back :) I passed and paid $40 . read more

*CASH ONLY* I called this place and asked how much the smog check was, the guy who answered was very polite and gave me a straightforward answer, "it's $49.99 but if you check-in the Yelp app you get $10.00 off so it would be $40.00 out the door." He also said if the car doesn't pass, they won't charge me until I fix the problem and take it back and it passes. When I got there they helped me immediately (it was pretty empty at the time) and they gave me a 15-minute waiting period until the test was complete. I felt like they only took 6 minutes and when the test was done, the guy walked over to the waiting area where I was at, gave me a nice cold water bottle for free, gave me my keys, and told me it passed. I paid them and they thanked me for letting them check my car and asked nicely for a review. I'll definitely come back next year to this place for my smog check. I would definitely recommend to my friends and family to come here for their cars 10/10. Thanks Compadres! read more
