Went to my regular smog place United motors smog fontana and they said they don't do older vehicles anymore mine is a 89 Toyota 4x4 sr5 deluxe. Driving home I saw Hector's smog so I pulled in and he said no problem. There was one car ahead of me and I was still out in 20mins unbelievable. Highly recommend them!!!!! I saw Hector's Smog Check here on Yelp when I needed to find someplace local and reliable for a smog check. It's first come first served so I drove by around 4:30 in the afternoon and didn't see anyone waiting. Humberto greeted me promptly and within minutes he had my car hooked up to be tested. 15 minutes later I was informed that my car had passed and they had submitted the paperwork electronically. The test was $51.75 and the certificate was $8.25 so $60 out the door. They do accept debit and credit cards for an additional $1.50 to cover their cost. I would highly recommend Hector's Smog Check for inspection and will return the next time I need a smog check. read more

Hector's smog check business has it covered as I was in and out within ten minutes. The owner is graceful, respectful and cares deeply about his work. Incredible caring service. It's that time a year again,, smog check time. I was in Rialto and found this place randomly by searching smog shops near me. Upon my arrival I can see that this place is located in one of those automotive, engineering, industrial type shopping centers. We've all seen em. Anyway, I was greeted by, who I thought was the receptionist, Melissa. Very nice and helpful. She got me all registered then started working on my car!! Mind you, this is a normal looking chick,,, girly looking. Like I said, I thought she was the receptionist. Turns out she's the technician. Hahaha and the mechanic looking guy is her assistant!! Go figure. Anyway. It's pass it don't pay here (awesome!!) and I was in and out in a jiffy. $50 boom! Come here if you live close by. read more

We have been going to Hector's for years. They do an excellent job and get you in as quick as possible. We continue to use them because they are reasonable and they are very nice people. They used to service our 1990 motor home and gave us a great price. We just sold the motor home, but have 2 cars, a van and 1 small truck. These guys do not know what they are doing. If you have an older car do not take it to them. They will tell you your car will pass/fail with absolutely no mechanical insite or common sense. One of the guys had me going back and forth for 2 days telling me my timing was off... it was dead on. He failed me the first time and when confronted proceeded to tell me it was my issue and showed me the test. He was checking it completely wrong. After finally passing (note: i changed nothing and I HAD TO SHOW HIM HOW TO TIME A TOYOTA THE MOST COMMON CAR ON THE ROAD) he discounts my bill $10 for the fail on my trucks record.
