Great authentic Mexican food. The staff was very nice and the service was very quick.

Friends and I decided to go out to eat since it worked out that we're all together at the same time. I wanted a breakfast. I was also curious because I know Compadres Diner has Mexican food. They're on Route 9 in Saratoga they're in a very bright adorable blue building you go inside and there's the main Diner and then in the back they have a patio where you can bring a dog to sit outside. I brought my Charlie. Everyone was played when we got in they told us where we could sit and everything was clean and cute and nice. My one friend left because I bought my dog. My other friend and I ordered breakfast. My friend got eggs eyeballs up with a hash that he really liked. I got one egg bacon hash browns and in English muffin. Breakfast was really awesome I also got tea and horchata. The hash browns were lovely I haven't had any in a while. Everything was great. My horchata was awesome. We decided to get lunch because there's a mouse and we didn't want to shop and leave food on the counter until we displaced the mouse. We ordered a Philly cheese steak and al pastor tostadas. When we got home we were tired so my roommate put everything in the fridge. Normally if I know I'm going to eat it later I leave it out so it doesn't get cold. I was worried when I went to reheat it wouldn't be good but it was awesome. We had the tostadas. Roommate had two before me and then there was one left over. It is made with pork and I don't know it's in an Al Pastor but it is my favorite Mexican food item now. [Tostadas Choice of Meat, Black Beans, Lettuce, Tomato, Queso Fresco, and Sour Cream] I'm not a huge Bean fan but everything about this item was amazing and I will be ordering it again. The next day was lunch time and we pulled out a Philly cheese steak. I'd ask for the onions and peppers on the side cuz my stomach doesn't always like onions and peppers but there were some peppers in this though. There was also a container of onion and peppers. I took the fries and the sandwich out and put it on a tower grate that goes in the air fryer and halfway through I flipped the sandwich over so it get crispy on both sides. It's this thing was amazing leftover I can't imagine what it tasted like have you ate it there. And now that I'm thinking about it I really want to get in the car and go and get myself another Philly cheesecake. The fries were awesome they reheated awesome also. Roommate and I were very happy with the entire meal and the service. I would totally recommend people go to Compadres diner for breakfast and for Mexican. I didn't take any pictures there but when I had my yummy Philly cheese steak I took a few pictures of it and it is award-winning worthy.

An absolute wonderful experience from the moment we entered. Our server Carol was great being friendly and super efficient. For appetizers my partner had the Fresh Shucked Oysters being true to their name while I enjoyed the Soft Burrata, roasted peaches and pecan appetizer that was off the charts good and more than enough for two. Our main courses were the 14oz. French Pork Cut Chop with apple peaches chutney which I highly recommend, it was well seasoned and cooked to perfection. I had the Lobster Frites serve with French fries, an appetizer but big enough for a main course, it was very good if you like fried food. I cant leave out the nice bread basket with good olive oil on the table and the fresh corn on the cob. Oh....how can I leave out their extensive wine list! A must go to restaurant well worth the splurge!

On the night that I was there, I had the option of ordering from their weekly specials, or their regular menu. Additionally, it was restaurant week so I could choose that menu as well. Wow! With my glass of Malbec we ordered their restaurant week duck cassoulet, grilled shrimp with mango salsa as well as the filet mignon steak frites. Lastly finishing off with a delightful crème brûlée. My tummy was more than satisfied on this cold evening. Service here was wonderful and the staff were attentive without being overly intrusive. The Wishing Well, a local favorite is where you go for an enjoyable evening of fine dining.

Stopped in here for a pre-concert nosh prior to heading over to the nearby Saratoga Performing Arts…read moreCenter. For drinks, I had the Sloop Pilsner draft. Very nice. My better half had a Cosmopolitan, which she enjoyed. Started with the charcuterie board (You choose a total of five meats and cheeses). For cheese we selected Burrata (cream filled mozzarella), Drunken Goat (goat / red wine dipped) and Parmigiano (cow / the real thing). The meats were Serrano Ham (dry cured Spanish ham) and Speck Ham (dry cured and lightly smoked Italian ham). OMG. Delicious. And the portions were on the hearty size. For a main I had the Mussels (garlic, butter, white wine, chili and fennel pollen). Another OMG. It was divine, and we had bread to soak up that wonderful sauce. We also had the Lobster Pizza (lobster, tomato cream, spinach, leeks, roasted cherry tomatoes, ricotta and grana padano). This was only ok. Not enough lobster, in my opinion. Overall, a very good meal before the concert.

We were disappointed with our experience. I ordered the $49 hanger steak medium rare, but it…read morearrived overcooked. Of the eight slices, only half were edible. The remaining slices were essentially on the darker side of well-done, almost burnt ends. For a restaurant positioned as an upscale dining destination on Broadway in Saratoga Springs, I expected much better. The quality of the steak was more in line with what I'd expect from a chain like Applebee's than a higher-end establishment. The service started out excellent, but unfortunately declined as the meal went on. By the end of the evening, we felt largely forgotten.
