Another SLEEPER Restaurant here. On a reference from a friend we decided to try it for breakfast today. It was my choice for my Birthday breakfast. It took us about 50 minutes to get there. The tables we safely separated and cleaned. Our waitress was extremely friendly, sort of a "Home Town" feeling. Coffee and juice came out fast, and our breakfast soon followed. Everything was perfect, hot and tasty. We ordered an omelet and Eggs Benedict. I believe it was one of the best breakfast we've had in a long time. It was our first time coming here today and we enjoyed every minute of it! There is a big parking lot in front of the restaurant so parking should not be an issue. As soon as you walk in, you're greeted by very friendly mask-wearing waitresses and seated at socially distanced tables. For drinks we got the raspberry iced tea which was perfect! It was not too sweet and reminded me of brisk iced tea We got the famous Reuben, which definitely lived up to its name. The pastrami itself was very soft and flavorful, which was nicely complimented by the Swiss cheese and sauerkraut.The grilled marble rye was toasted perfectly giving you a nice crunch with every bite. The blueberry heaven pancakes are HEAVENLY and HUGE. They were so fluffy and buttery, we didn't even bother adding butter to it. Little to no syrup is needed because of how sweet and savory these pancakes are. As a sausage & gravy lover, I thoroughly enjoyed the Adirondack Benedict. The gravy was very rich & creamy, and went very well with everything on this dish especially the home fries! Not only is the service & food amazing but the prices for the amount of food given are also very fair as well. Yelp advertising works. Over the weekend I was looking for a new place to try for breakfast and Ginny Rae's came up as a sponsored ad. I don't usually fall for advertisements...but I clicked through and decided that we'd try it! There was a short line/wait for a table, however, we were seated quickly. Service was nice and attentive. The only glitch is that the food took a bit too long...other tables that were seated way after us received meals right before us (or immediately after us). But it was worth the wait - my egg and cheese sandwich was just right as were the potatoes on the side. Irish Benedict received great reviews. Coffee was good. Country music was cranking in the background....it kinda didn't feel like a New York eating establishment. This review is based on dinner. Ginny's Rae's is a popular local diner located in Hudson Falls and serves up breakfast (until 2PM), lunch, and dinner. The atmosphere inside is where American diner meets family restaurant with tables, booths, and counter seating. The lighting is a bit on the dim side (not bright). There are plenty of framed photos of classic cars in the front doorway. The breakfast menu offerings include eggs, omelets, breakfast burritos, pancakes, French toast, fried bread dough, and breakfast sides. The lunch/dinner menu offerings include sandwiches, clubs, burgers, fried foods, salads, soups, pasta dishes, seafood, steaks (sirloin, ribeye, filet mignon), prime rib, chicken, liver & onions, and desserts (pies, cakes). Several specials and kids menu are offered. Pepsi fountain drinks served here. The prices here are fair, breakfast ($2.49-$8.99), most sandwich plates ($5.49-$9.49), most dinner entrees $9.99-$17.99, and desserts ($3.75-$5.99). A 3 Course Menu ($13.99 & $17.99) is also offered which includes soup or salad, entree (8 to choose from), and choice of dessert (add $2 for a Cheesecake Factory dessert). I stopped here for an early Saturday dinner around 4PM to beat the dinner rush. The parking lot was half full when I arrived and most of the tables were occupied with hungry customers upon entering. I sat myself at one of the last empty tables (menus/specials already at each table) and the waitress promptly arrived to take my order. The portions of food arriving to the tables looked very generous served on big platter dishes and bowls. I decided on the Chicken Carbonara Special ($12.99) which included a side salad. The side salad was a basic plate of iceberg lettuce mix (carrot/red cabbage), red onions, green peppers, thick cucumber slice, tomato, and croutons, a Newman's Own salad dressing packet on the side. The Chicken Carbonara though not piping hot (warm), was pretty decent. This big dish had soft fettuccini pasta (closer to being linguine) tossed with a rich alfredo sauce, peas and smoked bacon and topped with a tender grilled chicken breast, parmesan cheese shavings and sprinkled parsley. The dish was heavy and filling to eat and I decided to get a to-go box so I could have dessert. For dessert, the Key Lime Pie ($4.99) was a good dessert, though not a very big slice, which had a soft creamy texture (like cheesecake) with a slight tart taste, more sweet on graham cracker crust and whipped cream on the side. Overall, a good dinner with left overs with the check totaling $19.24 with tax and before tip. The service was decent and the food arrived in acceptable time during a busy dinner service. There were several folks waiting by the door for an open table by the time I finished. CLOSED on Mondays (3.5/5.0 stars) PSA: Use caution when exiting the restaurant via apartments driveway onto Dix Avenue since there was an property damage two vehicle accident in front of the diner. A car heading westbound on Dix Avenue t-boned an old lady trying to make a left turn onto Dix Avenue eastbound. The Washington County Sheriff's Dept, Ft. Edward Ambulance and a few good samaritans had the scene under control with a few traffic delays. The folks in the accident looked alright. read more

From the beginning, we worked directly with Ginny to plan some of our favorite foods and what our menu would look like. Ginny also was very flexible with our desired setup and working with us to match our overall aesthetic. The food was delicious! Our guests were all happily fed with appetizers, a custom taco bar and late-night wings & popcorn. I will have to say the highest point was Ginny and the staff themselves. Our waitress was nice, but she forgot my husband's soup and blamed me for not reminding her when she brought my salad. My chicken scampi was ok. The husband's chicken cordon bleu also ok . They give an option of a small or large plate which is nice. However, I chose the small, hubby the large and we got the opposite. Dessert was very good, definitely try the turtle cheesecake. Our menu included skewered capreese, tortellini and fruit skewers, teriyaki salmon, chicken tenders, signature pierogi, mini sandwiches and cookies for a picnic dinner at a mountain camp and it was absolutely delicious! The packaging they use is excellent. In fact the heated food were still warm when we opened containers 21/2 hours later and the chilled trays all stayed cold stored in a styrofoam box together. Went tonight and I wasnt disappointed. Had a Reubin with squash instead of fries. My guest did not care for the hot turkey sandwich, very salty turkey roll. Gravy tasted like jar gravy. (You got to pick 3 toppings in the burrito) my boyfriend loved the french toast, and he said the homefries were definitely in his top 3. Had lunch with my wife, Saturday around 12:30 pm. Had to wait about 20min to get a seat. It was prime time. They serve breakfast until 2 pm. It all looked good. Service was good during this busy time and all of the staff were working hard. We only had to wait a few minutes to place our order and the food came out in less than 15 minutes. My wife had the Mac and Cheese and loved it. Huge portion, enough to take home for another meal. My BLT on marble rye was also very good. Fresh bread, nice greens (not iceberg) crispy bacon, and a decent tomato. I had a side of Mac and Cheese with it for an upcharge of $1.00. It's a seat yourself type of place where you take the bill up to the counter to pay it. Soda was a little pricey at $2.50 a glass and the prices have gone up about .30 cents from the menu I saw online.Total $23.70 plus a tip. read more

We stopped for a late breakfast on our way back home from a mini vacation in VT. The food gets 5+ stars however, the wait for a waitress to even get our drink order was VERY long. The wait for our breakfast coming out of the kitchen was so long we inquired if our order was placed. Many people came in, ordered and were served while we were still waiting. It seems to be a favorite spot for the locals as the waitresses seemed to know or recognize many customers. I wish the rating could have been 5 stars, but I had to knock off at least 1 star (I considered reducing the rating to 3 stars) due to the wait for both service and food.
