With the 1 Line extending to Lynnwood, I am exploring nearby areas more than ever before. The northern stations from Shoreline on are serviced by Community Transit. The Swift bus routes are equivalent to King County Metro's RapidRide bus services as they make limited stops, which allows for quicker and more frequent service. Having taken them on weekends, they usually run on schedule though I did experience one instance of a long delay. As for regular bus services, I thought they were decent. Buses seem cleaner than the Metro ones. Though there is less frequent service on weekends so buses run every half hour or once a hour so checking the timetable is important for catching one. Overall, I am satisfied with Community Transit's bus services connecting to the 1 Line as they are well-timed and run on time mostly. read more

So I have a 12 week old puppy, who at the time of this happening at 755pm tonight was not only asleep, but leashed, covered up with a blanket and inside my wagon along with our groceries ( getting back from shopping at target ). She's currently still sleeping actually. I get on the bus, and yes i have fare in hand,snd for some reason ,mr bus driver ,homar bus 166 Alderwood mall parkway and ash way decides to randomly be a complete dick to a woman and a puppy and ask me" if that is a service dog? " to which i reply the truth, "no". Because why do i need to lie right? This guy proceeds to tell me that since my sleeping puppy isnt a licensed service dog , that she required by law to be wearing a muzzle! Which is not true. At all. Ever. Anywhere. So I tell him that and he restates​ his asinine sentence and makes me get off the bus! To which I told him he was a f***ing **** . Because he is. It is freezing out, because of him my Lyft my friend just ordered and I paid for left destination which was only one stop away and I am still standing outside freezing because I'm writing this stupid review because It's another hour till the next bus! This transit agency doesn't suck if you are a Seattle native living in another state. I am a native of Seattle who rides the bus a lot and CT is no exception. If you ride the bus in the mornings or during the commute hours then you get a chance to utilized their giant bus know as the "Double Tall". I rode their giant bus recently and it was the most awesome experience I ever had. It was a welcoming sight when trying to get somewhere in the snow. The buses are quite warm especially when it snows or rains real hard in Seattle. Drawback: The frequency of Community Transit can be a bit troublesome because I have to wait for a while for my morning bus to take me into the city. If you are not a native please do not ride Community Transit because it does very little in making sure you reach your hotel. I could also benefit from better management of the system as well because the complaints about the agency are off the charts. read more

I turned to yelp reviewers and their comments. NOT good! Yelp reviewers described many negative risks if you chose to be a passenger and ride Snohomish Community Transit. Yelpers' reviews speak for themselves. Kindly read them for yourselves. I received in the mail a beautiful full-color oversized 3-paged brochure stating 'Explore Snohomish County, See where transit can take you and ride free for a month!" The mailer was a lovely appealing ad to encourage citizens to use tax-payer supported Community Transit. I personally do not need Community Transit as I am an auto driver who finds this form of transportation as inconvenient. But I have a number of potential family members who could benefit from a wonderful transportation system as described by their tax-payor propaganda. Based on real-life reviews, the advertisements are propaganda hype. After looking into yelp reviews, I would no longer trust my loved ones to use this maligned system. I work for them for short period it is not good place to work. not all but most of trainers and examiners who are part of the training department are full of racist. they don't even hide their bias. i have seen fellow trainees who leave unsecured buses and hit the curbs get no negative comment and get their cdl. read more

I don't know whether it's the staffing shortage due to COVID19 or a general lack of caring but this is COMMUNITY TRANSIT! I haven't been able even to connect with Community Transit offices by phone. After more than a month that I interviewed with Community Transit I got a call and a message asking to call them back. After the interview and not hearing from them I assumed I was not being considered. I had interviewed with them once before and never heard back from them. I had moved on. I called back only to be told I wasn't getting the job. Really? Over a month no response, I move on with my life only to be told sorry, not getting job. Totally unprofessional and totally unacceptable. It would have been easier just not to have heard from them. Community Transit has no clue as to what "Customer service and satisfaction means. The 201 south to Mariner Park and Ride and the 105 south to Bothell have less than 2 minutes layover, and they are not willing to even entertain the thought of having the 105 driver hold long enough to see if there's a transfer, and heaven forbid one or the other is even a minute off, and then you get to wait another hour. read more

I try really hard to just get to work on time. I leave often two, three hours before I need to be somewhere because of how awful the bus system works. Buses are always late or even canceled. The amount of time I spend standing in the rain, staying out in the cold now is getting me sick. So yeah so much fun getting sick trying to go to work waiting in the rain and getting buses canceled with no warning. read more

Many of the drivers are rude or drive terribly. Some start driving before you're seated causing people to nearly fall over which has happened to me twice.. The buses are extremely noisy from all the rattling parts on the buses. Company must be providing terrible training. read more

Epic failure!! I'm a disabled passenger with multiple sclerosis. These inept, complacent drivers refuse to kneel the bus or get a crappy attitude when I request for them to do what they're paid to do. Would it be better if I said nothing, tried to lift my minimally responsive leg, trip, hurt myself and sue Community Transit AND Sound Transit because their drivers are just as lazy and, at times, incompetent. Today as I was trying to run to the bus after work. I was waving my hands, almost in the street. The driver looks at me, smirks and pulls away. He could easily see I was having trouble walking, much less trying to run, to get on his bus. Inconsiderate @#$!?&#!! Of all the transit systems in all the worlds... I'm just really disappointed now to be dealing with Community Transit as my first line of defense. I am disappointed with Sunday service being cut. I'm more disappointed that every route has also seemingly been cut more than just Sundays, except for the new Swift "express transit" buses that run north-south from Everett to the King/Snohomish County line (and still run with few passengers in each bus). I'm disappointed that many routes have been cut and rerouted, schedules have been cut back and routes have been eliminated at the same time as a fare hike was enacted. The fare hike was rough, but felt more like a slap in the face when it was accompanied by bus routes being cut back more and pushed further away from my house. Sunday service cuts have really hurt a number of people. I'm fortunate enough to have a bike and car that I can also use for transportation, but I have a coworker who can no longer work Sundays because she doesn't have the transportation to do so. She's also now trying to purchase a car because of this and I think that the last thing we need is more people migrating from buses into (mostly) single-occupant vehicles to add to our traffic. People are stuck without transportation or forced to drive their own vehicles or find rides while the backs of many CT buses advertise it being "Earth Day Every Day" when you ride and cut down on pollution. Now, a lot of us bus riders ride the community transit for a number of reasons in a series of combinations. A) its cheap B) no parking or ticket worries C) safer D) you're under the disillusion you're somehow saving the planet from contributing to the traffic/ carbon exhausts. Now I understand that living in the suburbs is a worthy excuse not to have as MUCH service than places like downtown. But lately its been like a PUNISHMENT to ride the bus. The hours are cut, the prices has risen, and there is no Sunday bus. For those of us who work all week long, this is beyond the beginnings of a serious migraine. It might as well be called The Occasional Community Transit. Assuming by the end of the year there'd be only three buses left between the hours of 3pm-7pm when they FEEL like doing their job. I'm not seeking outrageous hours or times. I'm seeking maybe one bus an hour to midnight? thats not horribly bad assuming there'd be only one per hour and not every 30 minutes. come on, if youre going to cut everything, at least give a little in another area for those of us who dont have the luxury of living downtown. read more

I am early or on time to my stop 9 times out of 10 and on the regular I will have my bus show up early and leave immediately since nobody is at the stop. Because of this I am running for the bus on the regular and I have had multiple drivers see me running and they drive away smiling at me. If you are early you should have the time to wait 3 seconds for your regular rider. I also tried to file a formal complaint on their site and their isn't a section to do so unless the complain deals with your civil rights. Community Transit is just the worst. They routinely run 10-15 minutes late on the 280 route, which is the bus I take to work. It has taken 10+ calls to their customer service line for them to even admit that, yes, there is a problem. I ride this bus 2-4 times a week to get to work, and it is constantly making me late. Now when I call their customer service line, they tell me that they are aware of the problem and that there is nothing they can do about it. Brilliant read more

In regards to commuting, I'm grateful for two things...Community Transit and that I don't have to commute on the weekends. Community Transit serves it's commuters with clean and comfortable buses with plenty of service in and out of downtown Seattle on the weekdays during typical peak times. However, if you're an unfortunate soul who works on the weekends, you're jacked. Due to budget cuts, weekend service is extremely limited or non-existent. Note: Something unique about Community Transit is there double-decker bus. On certain routes, one can take a "double tall" bus, thus adding to the appeal of taking a bus to work. Their tagline: The Double Tall More riders. Less maintenance. Smaller footprint. Bigger views. I certainly don't disagree. They are basically the limo of public transportation. For the SUV drivers of the world, you get to sit higher than everyone else on the road. There are air vents above each row all the way down the aisle so there's constant air-flow. There's a push button for stops instead of yankin' on a chord. The seats are comfy due to newer well built cushions that have padding in all the right places. The only issue I see with the seats at this point is the seats have a button to recline the seat, but don't have a release button to move the aisle seat away from the window seat like some of the other CT buses. By the way, what's up with allowing seats to recline on a bus? And what's up with the riders who actually put them to use? There's already a lack of leg room, even on the limo of public transportation. read more

Community Transit - The Double Tall - Public Transportation Near Me - Everett, Washington

I stood in the 35 degree morning fog, having waited for a bus that was now 10 minutes late. Mondays are the worst because that driver never comes early, when the rest of the week the drivers do. Oh, there's the bus but, oh no, it's stopping a block away, even though it's late so that the driver can walk through the bus, change the signs and I don't know, pick his nose. Some people should never be in the service industry. Guess what, we got the short straw so we are in the old bus with no heat. I wish I had worn a warmer coat. Maybe tomorrow we'll get a newer bus with the driver who strives to be there early so that we can wait in a warm bus. read more

This used to be one of the best Transit Systems in the United States of America, based upon a Fair Deal ride. In fact, it used to be a company tradition, if you had any silver on you in change they would not deny a ride. However now, in the last 5 years they have almost doubled their fare and ended over half of their routes. As a person without a car and trying to rely on the bus system, it is almost impossible now with over 60 dollars in fare for a month, that's more gas then a car would take going up 99 to work for a month. Not to mention the Orca card which used to be less expensive then riding the bus full fare is now more then if you were riding the bus on a daily basis. The busline used to run until 11, and now most every route stops at or before 9 PM leaving everyone out in the cold that gets off later. This is the worse company ever and I hope it goes bankrupt so another system can take it's place. read more

I put a 5 dollar bill in the machine to get a day pass and then had to pay to ride that subway then I got on the buss to go outbound and he said it was going to cost 4.80 and I said I got this green pass and he said no good for this bus. So I had only a 10.00 bill and had to pay 10.00 for that ride. I should have just took a dang uber. Horrible read more

Community Transhit just slashed services to Mountlake Terrace in half, at a time the Mountlake Transit Center is not yet open! This affects all routes through Mountlake Terrace - the 112, the 119 and the 130 run once an hour instead of every 30 minutes, and they don't even think to stagger the buses to Lynnwood so there is a half hour between them - no, it's an hour wait and they go at the same time! Or to let people use the commuter buses for regular fare just as long as they don't get on the freeway! The same coming back from Canyon Park - you have the choice of the 535 or the 120, but they are 3 minutes apart and then an hour-long wait! Gone are the good old days when one could do some shopping in between buses on the same fare. And the buses come late which decreases your 2 hour window even more. The bad news: buses are still late, the good news: it only happens half the time now???!! To the tune of Leroy Brown: Bad, bad Transhit man, slashing all the schedules because you can, Mountlake Terrace got it bad, We really think that we have been had! I'm not buying a transhit bus pass until regular service resumes. Also, I like visiting my husband at the cemetery at Floral Hills on Filbert Road, but Community Transhit in its great glory can only drop me off 1.1 miles from there. I Giving 1 star if I could I give no stars today for the swift bus driver that had no courtesy. I had mine and my child's tickets but an elderly lady asked me to help her get her ticket I asked the driver to please wait but he just left. Witch made me have to wait for the next bus with 3 kids. Just rude,That bus was around 240pm on the colby stop. Most drivers are nice and courteous but not this man today. If he don't like his job he should find another job. He only had to of waited 1min. This bus line has operational issues, it seems. This morning I was at the Aurora and 212th stop, Southbound at 8:12. That is the time the sign says that a 101 bus is to arrive there. A 101 bus arrived but did not stop. Ten minutes later another 101 bus blew by the the bus stop again with me clearly standing there waiting. I had surmised that the line was off schedule and that these were Express buses that were scheduled to arrive earlier. I gave up and commenced walking. I ended up at another stop farther down the line and the same thing happened again... a third time! I called customer support and they have no good explanation for why this is happening. There actually are no Express 101 buses. They are ALL SUPPOSED TO STOP. I am just thankful that I don't have to rely on this incompetent operation to commute on daily basis. This same scenario of buses not stopping at this stop has happened on previous occasions as well. read more

I take CT to work into Seattle 5 & sometimes 6 times a week for 18 plua years. During this time I have experienced many bus drivers under numerous atressfull conditions. I have found that they are professional and great defensive drivers, meaning that they caredully watch the other cars to avoid prolems. I think the drivers work for another company, whose name I don't know. CThie contracts drucwrs through that comany. I'm gratefdon't have to drive to work and back and know I'll arrive safe. The Swift is one of those cushy, fancy pseudotrain bus lines that just goes back and forth in a straight line from Aurora Village to Everett Transit Center. They take Orca cards and UPasses (oh how I will miss mine in a month when it's gone forever) and are an incredibly simple and efficient way to travel up and down the northern part of 99. read more

Agree with the reviewer who wonders why Swift service is so frequent. Seems to me that they've put a lot of eggs into the Swift basket politically and now really really want to see it succeed. I don't think any corridor in Snohomish County needs service that frequent - especially with the 101 still running every 15/30 minutes. I actually agree with cutting Sunday service if that much money does indeed to be saved, but is definitely is a downer. Also, the commuter routes don't seem to be well-balanced. I was lucky to ride a route (the 416) with mostly-empty buses most of the time, but it seemed odd that, while we lost some trips during the last round of service cuts, we still have so many while commuter buses to other locales are completely full. On the plus side, drivers and riders are consistently friendly. I enjoy and don't get stressed out riding CT buses. read more

I take the 101 from Lynnwood to the Aurora Village transit center. It is great! I discovered it on the first snowy day and I took it every day last week and was planning to take it this week but it isn't running in the morning! Yesterday one was running about 11:00 am and then the Seattle bus I was transferring to did not come at all. When I talk to my neighbors who are from back East or from Europe they laugh at our transit system. In the meantime most of us need to get to work but can't get there. read more

The regular CT buses have always spot on for me but today I had to ride one of the "swift" buses which is supposed to come "every 12 minutes"...well it didn't come for 20 minutes which then made me late for an Everett Transit transfer which caused me a 40 minute delay. read more

For the amount of price we pay for the community transit, their service is absolutely bad. The bus is always late for 15 - 20 minutes. More often they will not show up until the next bus and all the time their reason when I call them is flat tire. read more

Today is the worst. 105 is always late but today I have no words for it. I was so pissed omg. They sent someone who doesnt even know the route. He was completely lost.
