The terminal is right next to the small main street of town with restaurants and shops and a park next to it as well. There's nothing really to the terminal besides an enclosed waiting area, which had heat lamps, which was nice.

What I enjoy since moving to the PNW is the ferry rides across the Puget Sound. The ferry from Kingston to Edmonds is always smooth and the ride is only 30 minutes like most. Kingston ferry terminal is usually never crowded and there's a nice beach walk to go on before loading. Plenty of small shops in the area if there's ever a long line of traffic. Sometimes I just let my family hop out and I'll see them when I get through the lines. If you're ever heading north of Seattle area or on the way up to Vancouver BC and you live on the Kitsap county side, the Kingston ferry will get you there safe, friendly and possibly see some orcas along the way!

Perfecto Way To Kill A Couple Of Hours! SITREP Perfect way to kill a couple of hours EVEN WITHOUT A CAR! THE SETUP Calming water journey through life. Beautiful outdoors breezes. Gaggles of suspect looking birds both in Edmonds AND Kingston scrutinizing us homo sapiens. Admittedly the seabirds in Kingston were the MOST sus...... JUST FUN My lovely friend Jenner suggested as we were traipsing through the streets of Edmonds that perhaps a quick trip on the ferry would be fun. Oh my GAWD it was SO MUCH fun! We just walked up to the ferry terminal building .... ...found out we had an hour until the next ferry, so we bought our tickets, walked back to the kitty-korner Waterfront Coffee Company (go see THAT review here: https://www.yelp.com/biz/waterfront-coffee-company-edmonds-4?hrid=jsQpCEqagMs_5PRGSTuvXg&utm_campaign=www_review_share_popup&utm_medium=copy_link&utm_source=(direct) ), and then went back to the ferry! ...and as expected the birds are hilarious, the trips (to Kingston and back) are quietly reflective and enjoyable, there's a machine that sells chips, there's adequate bathrooms, and it's just a nice chill..... THE LOWDOWN An excellent way to see the Puget Sound on the water itself without fear of drowning or getting wet! Excellent *end goals* after a trip on water, right?

A last minute detour on a road trip made it necessary to take the ferry. We ended up in the ferry from Kingston to Edmonds. A lovely afternoon. Friendly service at the terminal. Easy on and off the ferry. A quick 25 minute ride and we were across the sound. A small restaurant/store on board selling snacks and beverages. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. An excellent way to travel. No reservations were needed and it was only $22 one way. Travel and live well. SYOY!

GORGEOUS views from the Kingston Ferry terminal! Breathtaking views of the Cascade Mountains and Mt. Rainier. There's an observation deck at the terminal lanes to take in the majestic mountains and water views. You can also trek a trail and walk down to a little beach area if you have enough time. There are indoor restrooms at the waiting lanes that are kept clean, and a little coffee stand with limited food items to go within close walking distance and open during the day. You can find a few vending machines by the restrooms of there after hours. If you have a long wait before boarding, there are a few shops and other food and drink options you can walk to. Very easy and straightforward terminal for cars and walk-ons. Quick 25ish minute ride between Kingston and Edmonds.

On this beautiful Saturday, out on the deck I stood for the 30 minute crossing, feeling the rocking of the ferry, the cool breezes; hearing the slapping of Puget Sound; and, soaking in my eyes of the gorgeous scene of Mount Rainier & the Cascades. Smooth was the ticketing beforehand. Time passed quickly with the 2-hour wait at terminal. Loud speakers of boarding procedure. Clean and well kept was the ferry. Thrilled to be on board I was. CHEERS!

This was our first time on the ferry and we had a great time. We got there at 3 pm and they loaded us in the parking lot for the 4 o'clock one. With snacks and good company we passed the time relatively, and they had a bathroom close by. They were very efficient at loading everyone on the boat and made it clear where to go. Once we got going, we ran around the boat and explored all the different corridors. The cafeteria was impressive and there were various areas for seating. I wish we had ferries back in California!

My first trip to Kingston on the ferry!! So exciting and we chose the perfect day. The sun was shining, clear skies you could see Mt Rainer and all surrounding islands even the space needle far off in the distance. Only a 30 minute trip from Edmonds, we didn't have much time to venture around since we were visiting a friend. BUT we did scope out some places for our next trip, there were white tents on the lawn as you walk off the ferry with various crafters candles, Cool wooden wind mill type lawn art and more. Tip: If leaving Edmonds it free street parking on Sunday but the do offer close terminal parking for $15. If your a first timer like we walked on and it was surprisingly inexpensive only $9.25 per person to and from.

The Kingston Ferry is a convenient way to transport across Puget Sound, it is also very scenic and a great way to spend the afternoon. I always enjoy taking the ferry, due to the convenience and scenery. This is something great to do if you just want to spend the day on the water and see another part of the peninsula. I highly recommend this attraction and mode of transportation.

Out to sea again. I told myself when I get out of the USN, I would never go out to sea again. Well now it's, I'll never go underwater again because I'll take this ferry anytime. You can either walk on it's free going to Seattle but leaving there is a charge. Or you can take your car with you and pay for the car/amount of people inside fee. I have no idea what the fee breakdown is. I've always driven around the peninsula enjoying the drive but today I needed to save time so I took the Kingston Edmond ferry. It's a simple process if taking your vehicle, pay at the booth, (oversized vehicles pay extra), drive into your assigned lane, and wait to drive onto the ferry. And I guess you can take any type of transportation onboard. I was on a the ferry with a semi tractor trailer and one of those tree log haulers. Once parked and engine off you can walk up to the ferry's lounge. I didn't leave the Tahoe but I believe they have snack and coffee as I was watching people come back to their car with those on hand. Once on the other side, wait for the attendant to signal starting your car and off you go. It's was a really great experience and great way to see the water, spend time to reflect, or even catch some "Z"s. Now excuse me, I have to find out what the kid wants to do. What do you mean you want to to on a submerged tour now?!?!? M

WSF is a greedy business that will take your money. I use it to commute everyday and they don't have any passes that accomodate military! Also, all the galley's except Puyllayup are out of service and some of the vending machines don't work. I requested a refund for a ride a few weeks ago and they denied it. The vessel I took had machinical issues. They said I don't get the refund because they notified people about it. (Attached picture below). I requested a refund for the 0530 am ferry which I did not get to board due to these issues. They notified their customers at 0545 am. Am I supposed to have magic powers and know the vessel is delayed while driving there?

A slightly older terminal, yet clean and easy to find seating as we await our ferries. Most of the time we spend the few minutes prior to boarding in our car, but every so often, one of us finds our way inside to use the facilities or stretch our legs. On each of these visits, we are happy to have a calm place to walk around, seats to sit in as we await the ferry and friendly staff and passerby.

Very nice ferry boat. professional crew, fast cashier smooth sailing. Thank you.

We just did one upgrade to get window seats in the economy area, which was totally worth it. The boat was less than half full - if it had been fuller I would have gone for more of an upgrade as the seating in economy is a bit narrow if someone is near you. Staff were friendly and on and off boarding was easy. Food looked edible and it was nice to have servers come through the cabin - they also passed out motion sickness pills - although our ride was smooth. Nice views of the water and mountains all the way there and back. I wouldn't recommend parking in the Bell Street Garage. Although it was ten bucks a day we ended up locked in the garage upon return for more than an hour due to a broken machine and limited staffing. Clipper was not responsive or helpful when we offered feedback on this partnership, which makes me dock a star.

They have great package tours or you can just get the boat trip. You do pass the into Canada and have to go through customs. Also the leave time in the A.M. can be quite early if you're not a morning person. In the terminal they do have plenty of seating as well as food and beverages while you are waiting to board. You get off in a fairly convenient location in Victoria, pretty walkable to most spots and to hotels. Why not five stars? The experience just wasn't as "nautical" as I was hoping. I felt like I was on a bus - the interior of the vessel gives that impression.

We got stuck in Seattle and missed our original transportation by car and ferry but Friday Harbor Seaplanes came to our rescue. Michelle was absolutely amazing and got us booked on the first flight out the following morning so we didn't waste another moment of our trip. She arranged a shuttle to pick us up at the hotel we booked which was also quite the task as many hotels were completely booked up but we finally found one and Friday Harbor Seaplanes accommodated us and got us to the airport and flew us in to Orcas Island. I was really impressed by our pilot and how well he flew the plane. I was a bit nervous and I tend to get motion sickness and he made the flight very enjoyable and even checked in with me during the flight to see how I was feeling. I felt he took slight turns a bit more slow and careful with me in mind and it was very appreciated. My friend also had her baggage delayed by Delta Airlines for 2 days and Michelle was so kind to try and help us by arranging for the airport to deliver the luggage to them so they could bring it to the Friday Harbor dock on one of their daily flights. Unfortunately Delta was being lame and they wouldn't do it, but the fact that Friday Harbor Seaplanes was willing to help us went above and beyond our expectations. What amazing customer service! I hope to one day visit the islands again and without a doubt I will use Friday Harbor Seaplanes again. They treated us like family!! Thank you! I wholeheartedly recommend this business.
