    There it is!!

The ferry system is new to this California girl. But, as a new Washingtonian I am getting accustomed to using the ferry to go places I want to go. The ferry terminal is clearly marked and easy to board. The staff very friendly despite my confusion at which lane to enter. The hard part about the ferry? Other people. Someone decided they didn't have to wait in the lane for vehicles waiting. Be safe and considerate. Riding the ferry is a process. It's definitely a fun way to travel and I look forward to more adventures in WA! SYOY.

We went on a day trip to Vashon, our first time going there & the first for this ferry terminal. We got here early so there wasn't a line to get on. Ten minutes later, When I looked behind, there was a long line of cars that went around the corner onto the main road. I'm glad we arrived early! The ride to Vashon was quick, less than 20min.

Tuesday 1:15 pm ferry to Vashon island. Purpose- go to Point Robinson Park to see Is Oscar the Bird King (NWTrolls: Way of the Bird King by Thomas Dambo and the Point Robinson Lighthouse with Dane's Beach. Check the ferry schedule because the last ride to Seattle was at 3:50 pm today. There's quite a line up to get back to Seattle. Good to know/ The driver pays for the car and passengers going to Vashon Island but there's no fee on the return trip.

Heading to Vashon Island? Venturing out to South Worth? Then this West Seattle terminal is for you! Getting to and from can be difficult in summer months and on holiday (or nice weather) weekends, so be prepared to wait out the traffic in your car or at the small terminal. Small, but does what it needs.

I absolutely love to helpful staff who answered so many questions and gave us tips. The bathroom was a bit inconvenient but overall it was excellent!

Rode over to Vachon to get a massage as lunch or coffee. I can't believe it cost me $3.00. It's outrageous that they charge me this amount both ways! And with COVID-19 I couldn't get out of the car spending the whole time with my wife; and she's driving too.

This ferry terminal is off of 48th and Barton Street in Seattle. It's easy to get on the ferry. One major tip: make sure you get in the correct line to either Vashon or Southworth. They will load the ferry depending on which terminal you will he getting off at. You may yourself in a location you didn't want to be at. I feel it's quick and efficient when loading people, cyclists, and cars on and off the ferry. If you're headed to Vashon, the fare may be steeper. There are no fees on the way back from the Vashon Terminal. We have also taken this ferry all the way to Southworth. It makes a quick stop at Vashon.

It's a ferry ... the boat goes on water . It gets you to where you need to go . Like many public entities , it needs a website redo .

I've ridden these ferries most of my life. If you're running late, they're on schedule. If you're on time, they're late.

Ask the Community - Fauntleroy Ferry Terminal

Where do you pick up off loading foot traffic passengers at west Seattle fauntleroy?

There's a parking lot for the park that's down the way not too far and if memory serves there is probably enough room for a quick pause and turnaround right by the ferry entrance.

The Seattle Island Ferry provides ferry service between Seattle and Bainbridge island. The Washington State Ferries operate this route, with departures from Pier 52. The ferry ride/trip takes about 35 mins over to Bainbridge, departures starts at 5:30am and runs frequently throughout the day. Purchasing tickets, ($11.05 ) and boarding was quick and smooth. We sure enjoyed our round trip Ferry Ride, and loved the stunning, scenic views across Puget Sound, got a nice glimpse of Mt. Rainier, and even saw some wildlife sightings. truly amazing experience. The only junk part is not having enough time, I recommend starting out first thing in the morning so you have more time to explore Bainbridge Island. I want to go back on the ferry again, "the tomorrow is never promise, enjoying life moments," so grateful. Thank you to my phone for tracking me!

We ended up really enjoying the tour and would highly recommend to visitors. This would especially be a great thing to add to your itinerary if you're only in the city for a short time, as you get to see a lot of landmarks in a short time. You also get to hear about the city's history and key industries. The ride overall is pretty smooth, and my husband, who gets motion sickness, was totally fine. The boat when docked can experience a little more motion, however, so your mileage may vary. We also found it easy to get seats with good views, and the guides were easy to hear anywhere on the boat. The crew were friendly and engaging, and Angelo and the other staff were very kind to us when my husband and I mentioned we were celebrating our anniversary.

The check-in and onboarding process was super easy. The ship promptly left dock at designated time. The top deck had open view. The second level had enclosed area with glass window views. Also both ends were open to guests as well. From start to end, the staff member did an amazing job of narrating many aspects of the views from the deck. A lot of it was about the downtown Seattle buildings, Space Needle, buildings and parks by the shore, the sea ports and many other cool facts along the way. I throughly enjoyed the hour long tour. The weather was also fantastic to take stunning pictures of the downtown, the mountains and the port. They also had a bar in second level where they served alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages, pop corn and some small snacks. Prices were decent for it being a tourist activity. We liked both popcorn and the strawberry lemonade.

The boat was less than half full - if it had been fuller I would have gone for more of an upgrade as the seating in economy is a bit narrow if someone is near you. Staff were friendly and on and off boarding was easy. Nice views of the water and mountains all the way there and back. I wouldn't recommend parking in the Bell Street Garage.
