It's great to be able to do this as I was not in the mood to purchase a card right then. Being able to connect downtown from the airport is always going to be a plus. Public transit is an essential for any city, and Seattle did it right. If you don't have the Citymapper app, download it. You'll never look like a lost tourist in any city. With the information I needed on what stop to get off on, I was on my way. That is until the train got there. Until then, I was able to observe the platform. Plenty of space, especially at peak times when passengers are getting off of flights. Signage is aplenty. My biggest gripe with this is the frequency of trains. It felt like even though the schedule is on the board, they weren't directly following it. But back to the station. It is an easy station to use. Easy to navigate. Wide open spaces so you don't feel boxed in. Also, not bad views.

And the TSA guy who checked it was such a jerk that I wonder whether it was deliberate. The airport was more crowded than I've ever seen it. TSA Pre check-in line took 15 minutes. It took an inordinately long time for our luggage to be delivered on our way in. The outlets in the gate areas are plentiful and all seemed to work, but the air wasn't flowing and it was just kind of grim. I just don't like SeaTac. Almost as much as I don't like MIA - for much the same reasons. This area deserves better.

It can take a few trains to get there, depending on where you are. You still have the ability to get some snack, use the restroom and such, but make sure you have what you need before getting on all the way to the terminal, because it takes a little longer to get there. It's a little ratty and seems a bit run down. Mostly standing room, like most terminals anymore, unfortunately.

Of course in the reverse it's handy to everywhere if you set off from here. We use this station sometimes to take trips to downtown Seattle or the u-district.

I skip the shops and head for "THE LOUNGE"! Alaska Airlines has their premium lounge for people who pay to be pampered and of coarse I pay for that privilege... I enjoy the spectacular view of planes taking off while having unlimited tasty beverage ( sometimes alcohol ) and typically morning goodies. This refuge allows me to hide out from the scourge of humanity waiting for a plane to somewhere... Ok, there are plenty of dining and beverage places to wet your whistle including a Wendy's can you believe it... In fact grabbing a chili for my flight is a wonderful idea. It will keep the travel people away from me as I'll donate some of myTreblinka fumes into the ozone layer... The staff at the N gate for our connecting flights are so rude and condescending as I felt so insulted even as we tried to put our items in the overhead compartment they were very unsympathetic in fact the guest behind us was more helpful gives me the indication of not favoring to fly with Alaska. Even as they made announcements she highlight my crossbody bag needs to be stowed in the overhead bin since of our seating. With the price increase of extra for choosing your seat...extra for check in bags...extra for meals...extra for carry on bags it made perfect sense to upgrade our tickets though other than priority boarding and all the usual amenities it came with Alaska isn't as welcome as Hawaiian and it's a shame. No lounge access for flights under 2000 miles unless you're a member nothing gives me a reason to even earn miles for flights that doesn't feel rewarding...the service needs much improvement.

My friend told me that we were gonna catch the light rail to go to Lumen Field for the Seahawks football game, and he also mentioned to me that we could also stop by Pike Place Market to "holo-holo", as the light rail would take us all the way to where we needed to go. I guess the light rail system has been used in Seattle for sometime now, as I could see there were lots of rail stations throughout the city. The station that we used to get onto the rail was the - Angle Lake Station, because it was the closest station in proximity to where my friend lived. The Angle Lake Station had a very large parking garage. After parking our car, it was a breeze to get onto the light rail & make our way to Pike Place Market, as well as Lumen Field. I can see how effective it is when light rail is built, & utilized properly. It certainly saved us a lot of money in the sense that we didn't have to look for parking while attending the Seahawks game, as I saw some parking places charging like $90.00 for game day parking. More rail stations are still being constructed, and my friend said he couldn't wait till the rail station in Federal Way is finished.

I was wearing my USAF Veteran hat this day and the attendant helping us was retired Army. We swapped a but of military banter, he let us know a few good places in Seattle to visit, and provided a 'special' reduced military fare on our tickets. Great customer service! I opted to buy myself an Orca card and take this train to work at the Seatac airport for a week because the parking lot was going to be having some access issues due to construction and I didn't want to risk being late. This train system is a joke! First of all, if I opted to take this thing daily instead of driving myself to work, I would pay more in train fare than I ever pay for putting gas in my car. On top of that, you either end up waiting for a train to arrive up to 15 minutes or waiting on your train to leave again, up to 15 minutes or you plain miss your train because they only stop long enough to let the people on get off and the people who are already on the platform get on. One of the mornings when I got off work at 4:30 am, I rushed to catch the train that is supposed to show up at 4:44 am. As I was approaching the train station at 4:42, I watched as my train left the station 2 whole minutes before it was even supposed to arrive and I was stuck waiting 15 minutes for the next one. When I drive to and from work, I get home in about 40 minutes, but this waste of time takes me over an hour. So, in review, I did not save money. I did not save time, and I ended up stressed out and frustrated with their system. Unless you have to, I would not recommend using this train for anything other than getting to concerts and sporting events in downtown Seattle. That is the only time that this train has ever been worth the cost for my family.

I'm 6 foot 3 and the little foot rest bar did absolutely nothing and took up leg room. See picture below. Anyways, the airplane was like a sauna! No more individual air vents. Now the flight attendants control the temperature for each and every zone. Asked my flight attendant 3 times to lower the temperature and was ignored. Not a single blanket was removed from the packaging because it was so hot. Drinks service on a 11 hour flight happens twice. For dinner and for breakfast. You're out of luck if you want anything in between. You can try asking the flight attendant but then they'll turn up the thermostat. My only regret about flying Condor, is having to fly Condor back home. Stay away from Condor! Not worth the money or headache.
