The big advantage of this station is the free parking (except on certain days) provided in the huge parking lot connected to the station. With the '2' line now connected to the '1' line in Seattle, my son-in-law used this stop to park his car and then have us travel to Mercer Island via the train, taking the train going to Lynnwood City Center.

Supposedly later in 2025 or in 2026. Similar to the project at Redmond Technology Station, this facility has been upgraded tremendously. This station now has covered waiting areas for westbound buses and the surface level parking lot has been replaced by a large parking garage. This makes taking the bus into downtown Seattle for major sporting events and concerts more convenient. It also offers a faster way to get to a location in Bellevue or Redmond on the 2 Line rather than transferring buses in Downtown Bellevue like before. Also I believe the garage may be used to access the Mercer Slough Nature Park which has an entrance right next to it. Thus making it very convenient to take public transportation to access this park's features which include a blueberry farm. I am glad that the public transportation connectivity in Bellevue is getting better and better with this station as evidence of this.

The prices can't be beat as well, if I remember correctly it's not a running meter, but pay by zip codes you go through. From Belltown to Eastgate (Bellevue) it cost be only $30 with tip. Money well spent. The drivers were also friendly and seemed to be experienced drivers. Cars were also well maintained and clean. If Uber is to expensive, which we all know can be the case, these are the guys to call.

When we refused to pay him cash, he acted as if he was going to drive away with our 4 suitcases and 3 pieces of carry-on luggage still in the back of his vehicle, refusing to open the trunk lid until paid. Given $25 cash, he more-or-less dumped our luggage from the back of the taxi, then told us he wanted a tip as well (no!) -- and when I asked him for a receipt, he said he'd get one. He sat down in the driver's seat, started the taxi, backed into our luggage -- nearly running us over -- and left. Unfortunately, my cellphone was in my carry-on and I couldn't get to it to photograph him or his cab ID number before he began backing up. Little driver, huge ego, terrifying driving. Totally irresponsible. Outright thievery.

It runs every 10 minutes during daylight hours, and is one way to go to Microsoft's main campus. The cost is $2.75 each way with free transfers, most easily accessible via an Orca card (rechargable on-line, but not yet replaceable with a smartphone). We used the NE 24th St & Bellevue Redmon Rd stop, which was covered and had a display showing when to expect the next bus. It's a busy route, serviced by an articulated bus for both routes...definitely too long for streets (and corners) not equipped for it.

The bus services downtown Bellevue, Crossroads, Overlake, Microsoft and downtown Redmond neighborhoods. The route replaced two King County Metro routes, 230 and 253. Basically combining these services to offer more frequent service that were faster as they skipped bus stops that used to be serviced by the old routes. The RapidRide buses are new and have free Wi-Fi. You can also swipe your ORCA card to pay for your fare at the bus stop card reader before the bus arrives. This allows you to board the bus at one of the exit doors rather than having to pay at the driver side door upon entering. In general, buses run every 15 minutes for most of the day. During weekday rush hours, there is service every 10 minutes. While in the late evenings, there is a 30 minute wait. I don't use the bus often, but do when I am headed to the airport as I can take this bus to connect with the Sound Transit route 560 at Bellevue Transit Center. Though it takes longer to get to the airport, it saves me a bundle over parking at or taking a taxi/Uber to the airport. More often than not, it takes longer to get where you need to on public transportation. But I think this RapidRide line is great since it is convenient and is helping to minimize the delay. Particularly useful when I need to get to downtown Bellevue in a timely manner.

I settled on Seattle Towncars as the best combination of price and service. I've now been using this company exclusively for two years and over 200 drives. The cars are always very clean and neat inside, and always in top working condition. The drivers are professional, courteous and friendly. More importantly, they are skilled and safe drivers. They'll get you where you're going as promptly as possible. I've NEVER had a driver from this company cause me any concern over their driving. These folks are top notch. They almost always arrive early. If the driver is not in my driveway ~10 minutes before I'm scheduled for pickup, I'll get a phone call explaining heavy traffic, etc. The few times this has happened, the driver's been on time, just not as early as usual. I'm pretty OK with a driver never EVER being late. Maybe if I traveled at more "peak hours" it would be a different story, but I couldn't say -- they've never missed a call. And for return trips from the airport, they're a phone call and five minutes away. Every time. I can't speak to Katie's review as I wasn't there, but it's unfortunate that it happened. Another review asked about "press X for immediate service". I'm not sure what is difficult about "press 1 for a new reservation or press 2 for a pick-up"...? But I can't gainsay those reviews, nor would I want to. All I can offer is that my experience has been different. In over 200 trips, Seattle Towncars has been nothing but consistent,, fair and responsive. I'm a businessman, nothing more. I want to get what I pay for, and what I pay for is reliable, consistent and safe transportation. I settled on Seattle Towncars because they deliver, and at a competitive price. I recommend that you give them a chance to earn your business.
