This is my go-to store for drinks and snacks. The place is decent and not bad at all. The worker is always friendly whenever I visit.

I can't tell the difference in price of this vs other herbal stores, but I definitely know it's department store large though. Mandarin and Canto speaking staff. I don't know if they'll be able to speak English since cashier I interacted with didn't. Took me a while to find this in West 626 area: Nin Jiom Pei Pa Koa but as individual to go packets $8.99 vs whole glass jar. He's with soothing the throat, etc. They didn't have a different brand Chinese pear flavor cough drops here though. Also got soup herbal ball thing too for $1.99.

For over a year, my sister has been on this quest for an elusive ingredient used to make (depending…read moreon your receipe) Won Ton Filling and/or the broth for your Won Tons. One of her BF's mother shares many of the old school Canto recipes that neither my sister and I have printed generation family recipes for. My sister was told about an ingredient called "Flounder Powder" that I researched and found it's one of those key ingredients needed to give your Won Ton fillings and/or broth that something-something you can kinda identify but can't figure out what that flavor is. After a year of asking FB Canto recipe pages and other Asian Foodies group, I gave up. I either had to order the powder out the USA or on Amazon for a ridiculous price for the amount. I tried again this past December and Googled Flonder Powder once more. This time, a local Asioan store was omne of the search results and since we were already in the area, we made a small detour to Wing Hop Fung located in Monterey Park, CA. Parking here is easy and not stressful. There is multiple Asian businesses located in this strip mall as well. My wife and youngest son decided to stay in the car while my sister, her hubby and I went into the store. The main reason my wife and son stayed behind is they are not used to the sometimes overwhelming smells that almost all Asian grocery stores have. When I entered Wing Hop Fung, the first thing I immediately noticed was the complete lack of any smell from preserved goods, dried foods, herbs etc. As I looked around by the entrance, there were barrels of dried, preserved mushrooms, seafood and othe dried Asian delicacies and it was completely odorless anywhere in that store. The elusive, almost mythical Flounder Powder is located behing the counter where the dried foods are. A salesperson manning this area will weigh out how much you want. During my late Dec. 2025 visit, the current pricing for the Flounder powder was $25.99 a pound. Your purchased amount is sealed in a plastic bag. As for the rest of the store, I was at a loss for words. There were sections for Asian branded cookware, rice cookers and other kitchen appliances. It was nice to see so many models offered for rice cookers, hot water dispensers etc. There is also manuy aisles dedicated to porcelain dishware. There was a big section devoted to tea: loose leaf, cakes, and a tea tasting bar as well. They also had a herbal medicine area where they can make different tonics for soups, drinking and so on. There is a large area for Asian branded medicines, tonics, ointments and other health care supplies. This store also carries a lot of fine bottles so wine. One cooler had bottles of wine priced at $40,000. They also had a large assortment of hard liquor, liquers, & sake, whiskies, Baiju and so much more. I really could've spent a lot of time in this store perusing each are more closely but dinner reservations were approaching and I would end up spending a lot of money here if I was was left unchecked. If you ever need to obtain Flounder Powder, a vast selection of loose or caked teas or just want to check out a really interesting Asian grocery store, you need to stop by here.
