We were staying at Ventana Canyon Resort and wanted to experience something near by for dinner. After looking at options near by, this seemed like an obvious choice. Made a reservation on Open Table for 6:30pm on a Sunday night and there was hardly anyone there when we arrived. Reservations were not needed. The host was friendly and seated us right away. Our server was Alex and he was extremely polite and attentive. He gave great recommendations and guided us to our choices. I started with a glass of wine, the Carmel Road Cabernet Sauvignon that had a decent rating of 3.7 out of 5 on the Vivino app which didn't disappoint. We chose to not have an appetizer and ordered our entrees. I had the orchiette crab pasta which was delicious. He had the meatloaf that came with mashed potatoes and carrots, which he thoroughly enjoyed although it was more than he wanted to eat, he definitely recommendeds. We finished off our meal with the olive oil cake dessert. When he initially mentioned the two options I wasn't particularly swayed either way, but he wanted a piece of cake and when I tell you I was surprised at how moist and delicious it was. During our time here the restaurant filled up with other patrons, but it was never uncomfortable. He did mention that he agreed with other reviewers as far as the noise level and the acoustics, I didn't even notice. Overall, it was a great experience with exceptional service. I would definitely recommend and look forward to visiting again.

Commoner & Co is one of those rare spots where everything--from the food to the atmosphere--feels thoughtfully curated. I started with the buffalo cauliflower, which was crispy and flavorful without being overly heavy, and the Spanish chorizo flatbread, which had the perfect balance of smoky, savory, and cheesy goodness. For my main, I couldn't resist the braised short rib, and it absolutely delivered: melt-in-your-mouth tender with rich, deep flavors. The vibe is relaxed yet upscale, making it great for both a date night or a fun dinner with friends. Their cocktail menu is fantastic--I had the bartender's choice, and it was a creative, perfectly balanced surprise. Don't skip dessert; the salted caramel bread pudding was the perfect sweet ending. If you're in Tucson looking for a memorable dining experience, Commoner & Co should be at the top of your list. Read the full write up on Casa Saguaro's website!

All the food was excellent. I tasted everything that was pictured except the chicken. The service was very good especially considering that they seemed a bit short-staffed. We did wait longer than I would have liked for our entrees. The Vibe was relaxed and the feel casually dressy. I will definitely go back.

My hubby and I had an early dinner here after some wine tasting next store. We were greeted at the door by the friendly staff and were seated right away. They have a great selection of wine and cocktails. We started with a bottle of wine and the wildflower sourdough & honey cinnamon butter yum . Sometimes cinnamon butter can be too sweet for my taste, but this one was just right. We each had one of their two salad choices. They were both very fresh, but we preferred the taste of the Kale Caesar Salad. As for entrees, I had the salmon filet, beluga lentil, root veggie and virgin sauce. The texture of the salmon was perfect but it lacked flavor. The lentils, veggie and sauce made up for it though. My hubby had the orechiette crab. It was delicious. We were too full for dessert but all together we had a great dining experience. If you're not going to have dinner here, go and have the cutie behind the bar make you a cocktail. His name is Barrett, he's super outgoing and a sight for sore eyes. My husband's not mad at me for saying that either .

The menu has changed quite a bit, and while delicious it doesn't have quite the same appeal that it used to. The lovely goat cheese tart is no longer available and the rotating freshness that used to be there also appears to be missing. However still wonderful food. The service is still very excellent with attentive staff. The ambiance and setting still remain very low key with great flow and openness.

Food was decent, but nothing to harp about. We ordered the brussels sprouts and liked the cashew butter that came with it. We also ordered the salmon and cappellini pasta, both were good, but also pretty standard. Service was fairly slow. They have happy hour from 4 to 6 PM, but it's only $1-2 off some appetizers, no drink specials. They do have half bottle wine on Mondays, which is nice!

I really wanted to like this place- really did. I drove 25 mins to get here, but sigh, a 3.25/5 The view are amazing though! Good service, plenty parking. The artichoke dip was meh, bread was not completely toasted, half were half toasted other half just plain. Was looking forward to the goat cheese tart, what a disappointment. One, too sweet- put it on the dessert menu. Two- literally had raw sugar which wasn't bruleed. Had so much potential, didn't live up to the h

Great ambiance and very nice staff. Shrimp portions were tiny and butter cake did not come with the berries the menu stated.

Went here based on the many great reviews. We found the food to be unremarkable. The Cioppino was under seasoned and the pasta wasn't very good. My friend got the bolognese and thought it was average at best and without a lot of flavor. The Brussels were good and probably the best dish of the bunch. Good service and nice bar. Probably won't return.

Update...pretty darn good! Love the happy hour Mediterranean Tacos. So good. Light yet filling yet tasty! Love their goat cheese tart! Love their poutine! Wonderful gravy! Cocktails are good. Service is good.

Atmosphere was awesome. Sat on the patio with a group of six of my friends because we had two dogs. We had a bunch of their plates and everything was awesome! The mussels are delicious! That curry is to die for. Ask for extra limes. The salmon with the togarashi crust is so good and unique. We also had the artichoke dip to start and that was perfect for an app. The drinks are a little to sweet for my liking but the food was five stars.

The elimination of fresh corn in the crab pasta and the kale in the Caesar salad was a mistake. Best items on the menu, I won't be back.

You absolutely must try Pam's Spicy Lemonade--Hornitos with thai chili and mint. I've also had coffee-infused liquors here before that you'll rarely find anywhere else. Love the wall of chianti bottles that lead to the bar and love that the staff dress up in casual Prohibition garb. Came here for girl's night and it was everyone's first time even at the restaurant but mine. I'd had dinner a couple times in the restaurant for my birthday and had the cheese wheel fettuccine alfredo. I asked if anyone was interested in trying it and so 3 of us split it which ended up being pretty perfect. It is hands down THE BEST fettuccine alfredo. We had many drinks come to our table, the first round being the homemade limoncello. Made with local Meyer lemons, it is deliciously potent. A must try. The bartender, Ryan or Brian, he made cocktails from the heart. A couple of gals ordered "dealer's choice" drinks and they were inspired by the drinker's stories. It was really a unique experience for them and I could almost see his mind working out the chemistry of the libations. Another must try, although I didn't because I had to drive myself home. I did have a coffee with Bailey's, Amaretto, and freshly-made whipped cream. Last must try if not on a coffee drink maybe on a dessert. One person in our party thought that the drinks were on the spendy side. Many of the ingredients were house made and all top shelf. I'm from Los Angeles so an $18 drink was a normal night at the klerb. Worth mentioning if that would be a deal breaker. Worth a go. I thought it was better than the speakeasy at the Sonoran House which was too bright and not intimate. You really like feel more like you're not where you're supposed to be at The Still. There is a curio cabinet with cigars that I think are for sale. The speakeasy opens up to the patio for all the smoke suckers. Great for a small groups or date night, maybe not the first date.
