A hidden gem on the Texas coast. We are full time RV'ers and have had service in 10 Ford Dealerships in the last 4 years, so when I give them 5 stars, I mean it! Our plans had changed and I wouldn't get back to my planned service location. I was leaving Rockport TX in a couple of days and needed service. It was Tuesday and I called at 10:30 to see if I could get my F350 serviced before Friday. I was totally surprised when James said he could get me in at 2 or 3 that afternoon. I selected 3:00 pm and they got me right in and right back out in less than an hour. Fast efficient service by Drake and great customer service by both Jay and James. Kudos to the Team! Usually when you call a dealership for service it's an appointment a week or two away. One day service is something that almost never happens, thanks again for the great job! read more

I took my truck in on a Monday for a vibration in the front end. By Wednesday I had not heard anything so I called and Jay said they were still trying to locate the issue and he would call me back. By Friday I had not heard back so I called again and had to leave my number. After 2 hours I had to call again and this time I talked to Jay again and he said he would call me back as soon as he had talked to the tech. I waited another 2 hours and again had to call back. After a week with zero communication from them he tells me they can not duplicate the problem. They might have decent techs but their costumer service is lacking severely. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. My check engine light came on my 2014 Ford F350 6.7 diesel so for free I went to O'Reilly's and they printed on a piece of paper that my egr sensor was bad so I made a appointment at Commercial Motors. On my appointment day I gave them the piece of paper from O'Reilly's. I understand that they had to do there own test but charged me $300.00 to come up with the exact thing as O'Reillys. Scheduled an alignment for my Ford F350 a week and a half ago. Service Advisor asked if any modifications or lifts other than stock tires where on my truck and I told them no. They said no problem they should be able to handle the job. When I showed up I asked if they had time afterwards to do and oil change with filter and said they should be able to take care of it. I left and walked 3/4 of a mile back to hotel and within an hour got a call saying they did the oil change but was unable to do the alignment because their equipment is from the 1960's. I went in to speak with the GM and waited for him to get back from lunch. After speaking with him about the time I waited to get in and taking off work I asked if there's anything he could do for me for all the waisted time and taking off work early to be there for the appointment. Again costing me money. He said give him a minute and about 10 minutes later shows up with an aggressive Service Manager asking what I wanted for this. I left it up to him thinking he would offer something. He did a car wash the next time I come in. I told him I was trying to find a place I could go to because I was in for work for the next three years and figured they would want repeat business and that I already had bought a new battery the day I got into town from them.He said yes he was told and that and it was raining that day and that it was done under their canopy and if he was there he wouldn't have done it. Interesting I found out the guy I thought was the GM I waited for was actually the sales manager. So the GM I was told they reached out to actually wasn't the GM and if it was he shouldn't be it that position. I appreciate the oil change but it wasn't due yet I was just looking at saving time later down the road. Zero give a shit about customer service. Do yourself a favor and find another option. I'll let the other 3500 people that are on my job about the service and let them judge where they want to go. If I was a betting man I would say they lose a lot of business. read more

My husbands mass air flow sensor cords was chewed through by mice. We got an appointment for the issue dropped the car off around 8am they called us explained the exact problem & have us a quote. The car was completely fixed running perfect by 12:45. The car also has recalls that we weren't notified about and Ford went ahead and got the part order in to get the recalls fixed as well! Literally one of the worst customer service experiences I've EVER had in my adult life. Way too much to explain. 5 trips to pick up my truck that didn't get fixed each time. Left my truck filthy inside. Text or PM me for more info. Be happy to share and would like to try and make sure they lose as many sales as possible from the way I was dealt with. Front office isn't any better. Since I didn't buy my truck from them they didn't bother to even look up, acknowledge me and say hello. And that was with not an single person in their showroom. When they didn't have in stock the specific vehicle I was wanting, they went out of their way to locate my 2021 Ford Ranger from out of town and brought it "home" to me. The Service department at Commercial Motors has maintained my truck with top notch service. Over the last year, my poor truck got dints and bangs and scratches. I wasn't really sure I wanted to file an insurance claim and pay a high deductible. So, Ronnie suggested bringing it by the Body Shop and let his guy buff it all out. We bought a car from Commercial Motors two years ago. Recently we were in Kansas and due to circumstances we traded cars there. 1000 miles on the brand new car it started dying at stop lights. I called CM for an appointment and got the big run around. They say they're just small shop. If we could leave it there they might work it in. If we could show up at 7:30 am and nobody is ahead of us we might be able to wait on it. We don't have another car so leaving it is not an option. This is their way of saying that if you don't buy from us we won't provide warranty work. I'm glad I didn't buy it from them since they don't want to work on it. I've given them plenty of work the last two years too. Ironically I had to find out from a friend that these newer cars shut off at stops to save gas. I called three Ford service shops about the problem and not a single one bothered to educate me on this. Including the one where I purchased the car. Ford should be ashamed. The salesman didn't feel like telling me either and didn't return my calls. read more

Would not suggest this place at all. They only informed us once the insurance company approved an estimate and they never put the car on a lift. The guy said he can tell what's wrong with it because he has 40 years experience. They never notified us or sent picture when it arrived on site like they said they would. I asked they look at the passenger side tire and the manager gave me a long unrelated story and never looked at it. These people definitely tread the insurance company as their company and don't care that this was a huge purchase for us and it ment a lot for us and now we can't trust the work done to it. read more

The service department could use some customer service skills. I went in for a quote for a simple repair on my Mustang, it took days to get a hand written quote (computer generated is more modern). The service manager informed me that they "have the right to refuse service to anyone" and he also assumed that I wanted special treatment by saying to me "I don't care who you think you are", because I asked for the VIN # on the quote. He also questioned me about where I bought my vehicle, which was not relevant. The tone and hatefullness were very insulting. This is extremely unprofessional and I feel like I have been bullied for absolutely no reason. They lost my current and future business. read more

Took my fusion in for its 100k service, the service includes; oil change, spark plug replacement, coolant change, coolant system flush, transmission flush, air filter and a few other routine maintenance items. About a month later my service engine light comes on. Still recovering from the expensive service, I wanted to avoid an expensive diagnostic fee, so I go to Autozone to have the trouble codes pulled up. They came back with a P0302 cyl 2 random misfire. They tell me this could be spark plugs, injectors or coils. Well I knew it wasn't spark plugs because commercial motors just changed to those, or did they? Unsure if I could trust them or not I decided to pop the hood and have a look. Turns out they didn't put my air filter box back together, thus causing the code and possible damage to the turbo by serving it in filtered air. Something so simple yet has the potential to cause so much expensive damage cannot just be excused. From now on I will only trust my car to legit Ford service shops. I do not recommend this shade tree shop. read more

Horrible company. My friend had taken her car to get fixed it sat 22 business days not including weekends in their shop!! She knew something was off when she picked it up it still didn't feel right and she let them know. They told her everything was fine. She drove it back to Houston we're she lives and broke down on a main highway with her infant daughter. They're basically saying it's not their problem now!!!!! Do not give this place any business!!! Wednesday I drove from Phoenix to Aransas for a few days to visit my family. My 2013 F250 with 75k I have owned since new, needed basic service. I made an appointment for an oil change, fuel filters, def fluid, and tire rotation. I dropped the truck off Thursday and picked it up a couple hours later. When looking over the paperwork, I was immediate skeptical when they listed my tire tread as "green" even though I have 52k miles on my Toyo MT tires. Once I went to put air in my tires the next day (they were low, even though the paperwork said they filled them) I became more skeptical as my front tires were still filled with the brake dust from the days prior 1000 mile road trip. If the tires were rotated, the dirty tires would have been rotated to the back. In addition, I had taken a picture of my truck a few months ago, and you can easily see a big scratch on the front right wheel, the photo is time stamped so I know when it was taken, and the truck hadn't been serviced/tires rotated since. The scratched wheel is still in the exact same front right position, so there's several obvious factors saying they didn't rotate my tires, as they charged me for/said they did. What's worse, is there's blatant hand prints all over my dirty wheels making it "look like" they rotated. I know their hands weren't on them to check the tire pressure or rotate them, so they obviously did it to make it appear like they rotated them. I confronted the dealer today and they refunded my $20. Yet now I'm out the time it will take to go elsewhere in my limited time here, and also insanely skeptical that my fuel filters were even changed. This dealer is a scam charging for services they wouldn't do. I wouldn't be surprised if they aren't just cleaning off oil filters to make it "look" like they changed the oil.. I wouldn't take my truck back here if it was free. I pay $ to service my truck for it to LAST, not to just feel better about myself thinking the service was performed. read more

I waited all day for an update and never got a call about 4pm I called ad was notified that my car wasn't even being worked on that day. What a waste of time and my gas money. On September 30, 2015 at around 10am I took my Ford Fiesta to Commercial Motor Company because when I would bring my vehicle to a stop the air conditioning would blow hot air instead of cold. Considering this is the dealer I bought my car from and the place I've been servicing my vehicle I trusted the employees of commercial motor to fix my car. When it got to be about 4pm in the afternoon I called Commercial Motor to check on my vehicle and they said my car was ready for pickup. When I arrived at the dealer they told me my total would be $130. Considering I live on my own and I am a full time student at TAMUCC, I was shocked at my total. How can you complete $130 worth of services on a vehicle without consulting the owner? I have dealt with other mechanics with other vehicles and they would call and say "I can fix it for $X, would you like for us to continue?" I paid after I was told they could not change the price and went home. The next day on the way to class, when I came to a stop-my ac started blowing hot air. After talking to the manager he told me to bring my car back on Friday. Here comes Friday, they take my car and call me at work to say the part they had fixed on Wednesday, the part I paid about $80 to fix-had broken. They thought it was the fuse but it was really the fan. So, not only is the part I paid so much money to fix now broken but it will cost $330 to fix and they would be willing to give me a $70 credit towards the fan. This is so wrong. I can't get my money reimbursed for a part you fixed that broke not even 24 hours after I had it. I come from a family of business owners and none of our businesses run through lies or taking advantage of the customer. Commercial motor has lied to me time and time again about having my services fixed, every time but once they did not put my "return on this mileage" sticker for my oil changes, and I feel very much taken advantage of because I do not have car knowledge. You have to clear things through customers before you want to charge them $100+. You want to know their excuse about the diagnostic's test and price, that there is a sign that says something like "diagnostics tests contain separate fee". Maybe, explain that to the customer. How am I supposed to know that you were going to perform a diagnostic test and the fee that goes along with that? I am not a mechanic. I will NEVER recommend Commercial Motor to ANYONE! Which is sad because my family has purchased several vehicles from them. But, now I am out about $80 and I still have a fuse and fan to fix. Yeah, the fuse I paid for isn't even fixed. read more
