Very very poor service. Waited 30+ minutes for coffees, 1 hour + for food. Other parties had similar experiences, a table beside us actually left. The first 4 of our 6 plates arrived 15 minutes before the other two. Horrible experience. Food was alright, nothing special and cold. Amazing! My sister and I went on a Tuesday night. It is gorgeous inside. I ordered an espresso martini that was so good! It probably was one of the best I've had. We ordered the calamari. It was really good. We both ordered the lobster ravioli, talk about flavorful! The only downside I would have to say is that we waited 7 minutes until our server came over to take our order. She did not apologize for the wait or even acknowledge us when she walked by several times. Other than that, this was amazing. I cannot wait to come back for brunch. read more

Our dining experience at Commelfo for a late lunch was absolutely wonderful! The drinks to include the Lavender and Pear Martinis as well as the Old Fashioned and the Florida Mule were delectable. But the food was absolutely phenomenal! The appetizers we shared included the crab cake, the bruschetta caprese, and the commelfo salad with blackened shrimp. All 3 appetizers were delicious. For entrees the lobster ravioli was to die for and expertly prepared. The chicken gnocchi was also amazing. Our waitress was extremely flexible, sweet, and attentive to our needs. 10/10 experience. Our only regret is everything was so delicious and in the moment that we forgot to take any pictures of the food and drinks but they were beautifully prepared! This is without hesitation a MUST TRY! We are going back for dinner service. Our waitress Neala T at Commelfo went above and beyond normal customer service. She was quite possibly the most patient, sweet, and most flexible server we have ever come across. She didn't rush us out even though the restaurant kitchen closed at 2pm. The food and drinks were fabulous but Neala's hospitality went above and beyond what was expected. We will definitely come back and recommend this restaurant to our friends and family. read more

The food is frozen stuff not like daily fresh. 1/3 of a lamb rack shouldn't be $60. The service was good but not that great. The deco inside was like cheap and mis matched chairs and etc. BECAREFUL- here's the part that they don't tell you in advance & I didn't like and will not go back... They charge you to use a credit card-who in their right mind charges u to use a cc to make payment. Like really...owners should reevaluate that. Don't let the strip mall location fool you, this is an upscale restaurant. The decor is so pretty and the vibe is very relaxed. We made a reservation on Open Table but decided to stay at the bar as the chairs were comfortable, and the bartender was friendly and accommodating. The dinner menu has a little something for everyone including nightly specials (last night was lobster bisque and pork osso bucco). We just wanted to nosh, so we had the coconut shrimp (a bit overcooked and dry) but came with five large shrimp and a yummy sauce, and the tuna tartare, which was a LOT of tuna but very well prepared. Not sure if it's belly meat or if they add a sauce but the lighter color of the tuna made us wonder. I had the lavender martini which was delicious yet a bit on the small side. My husband had a glass of chardonnay and then espresso following the meal. So nice to see someone actually know how to make espresso in this town for a change! Very large TVs at the bar, so we could watch the basketball game while eating. I'm glad we finally gave it a try and we'll definitely be back. Next time I'll ask for the shrimp to be cooked a bit less but will order again. Anxious to try their brunch or lunch as I hear both are delicious. read more

Larry provided great service! The grouper and the pork dish was superb. They have a great drink menu too! The chocolate crème brûlée was DELISH! Definitely a place to try or to be a regular. My kids loved the glass hummingbirds and the balloon sculptures. We had my two young children (2 and 4), so I was glad we made an early reservation (5:15). Staff was very friendly and accommodating. My children split the burger. Our server knew to tame it down to kid-friendly too, which I appreciated. I had the grouper. Delicious. I could've licked my plate clean. The risotto! Yes please. My dad ordered the pork osso bucco. Wow. Meat fell right off the bone. Rich flavors. and beautiful presentation. My mom had the lobster ravioli. Also divine. The sauce was rich and creamy and paired perfectly with the tender lobster meat filling. I don't know for sure, but I wouldn't be surprised if they made the pasta there. I wanted to try the Seafood Pasta and several other items on the menu, so we will definitely come back next time we are at the beach. It's more expensive, but worth it. read more

My wife and I tried Commelfo this past weekend after reading some of the good reviews on Nextdoor. It absolutely did not disappoint. The decor and ambiance defies this restaurant being in a strip mall and a 1/4 mile from the beach. It could be in any large city and fit right in. Service was friendly and accommodating, with our server explaining the background of the restaurant and a number of the dishes. We had a couple of cocktails made by our Ukrainian bartender (literally only been in the US for about 6 months so escaped the war) and they were great. I had the custom Old Fashioned and my wife had some type of basil martini. The food is where they really shined. We had the crab cake appetizer which was all crab and no filler with a great sauce on top and laid over some fresh greens. For entrees, my wife actually ate the salad with a ahi tuna, which was excellent, and I had the rack of lamb. I'm always a bit dubious with ordering lamb as it can be often overseasoned and gamey. This was neither. Perfect cook, perfect seasoning, absolutely no gamey taste. Maybe the best rack of lamb I've ever eaten. We had the Nutella cake desert (forgot what it was called), which was scrumptious, but we could not eat it all. Everything was paired with a nice Italian wine. Though the wine selection is small, it has a good spread of different varieties so anyone should be able find something they like. We look forward to our next visit (definitely trying the ribeye next time). I cannot recommend this place any higher. A gem in Miramar Beach. read more

My wife and I are retired but we have been coming to Destin for over 20 years. Several years ago we "found" Commelfo on OpenTable and decided to give it a try. It is now one of our favorite restaurants--period. The food is always excellent (my wife loves the scallops and I love the proscuito wrapped chicken breast) Our favorite waiter, Dmitry, is very attentive without "hovering" over us . The atmosphere is quiet without being "stuffy". The location is kinda hidden but it's conveniently located across Hwy 98 from the outlet mall. Horrible spot but we didn't complain there were a bunch of tables empty. It took 55 minutes to get a drink after we were seated. The waiter was not friendly at all when he finally brought the drinks we said we were ready to order. He did not check in but only once. We ordered more drinks during our dinner. None of us were impressed by the food actually we were disappointed. When we were done the waiter didn't even ask if we wanted dessert. My wife reminded him we were there for a birthday. They brought out the brownie but before we were finished the hostess came and picked up. We kinda laughed then they tried to take my daughters 16 drink that she wasn't done with just a couple minutes later they came and took our water glasses I said I wasn't done yet we were just going pay the bill. They were really rude and made a comment that they need the table. We could not believe how rude they were. We are not people that sit around and talk.
