We stayed at this hotel while we were in Austin back in April. The room we got was very spacious and so was the bathroom. Pros - Daily breakfast from 6am - 10am - Food is rotated each day. Good service for food area. - Friendly hotel staff and good service Cons - Shower curtain is missing in the bathroom after getting the room cleaned. Kind of hard to communicate with housekeeping because they don't really speak English. We asked for the room to be cleaned and they did but for some reason they took the shower curtain out and forgot to put a new one on. Wednesday asked from desk for one but we have to wait for housekeeping to come around 8:00 or 8:30am. This is wasting our time since we have somewhere to go. - Pillows are small. Half the size of regular pillows. Each bed has 4 small pillows. Turns out the pillows are standard sized and are folded in half to make it look fluffy because the pillows are flat. - Housekeeping does deliver what you need, you go down to the front desk if you need extra toilet paper and towels - They charge extra if you need additional hangers. 2 hangers per room. read more

If I could give this hotel 0 stars I would. Upon walking in the lobby is pretty nice but the person at the front desk was on their phone and didn't even acknowledge us as we walked in and as we got to the desk we had to say "um hello" after about a minute of her still being on her phone. Then after that she didn't even know how to check us in, the supervisor who was sitting on the couch watching TV finally came up to check us in. We get to our first room and it smells like cat pee and it was extremely strong. We immediately went back down to get a new room. In this they were accommodating and gave us a new room right away. Our second room smelled muggy but we turned on the AC and figured it would get better. When we got back from our festivities it smelled better so we just went to sleep. When we got up in the morning we noticed we didn't feel very well and my son was grabbing at his ears like they hurt which if you don't know is a sign of mold toxicity. We were getting ready to check out and in the bathroom I noticed mold everywhere up high! We started packing faster and went to go check out and told them that we were upset about the fact that the room had mold and it's ridiculous after just having been put into a room that smelled of cat pee the day before! All we got was "oh I'm sorry, would you like your receipt?" WTF! No remediation at all for our awful accommodations! My friend who was also staying here had a room that smelled of cigarette smoke. I have never had a more pleasant experience than I had at Comfort Suites and it was all because of Ms Esther. She was an amazing help and extremely friendly and hospitable. She made the entire process seamless and easy as possible. She is a sweetheart and I will definitely be back again for a room when I am in town just for her excellent service. I would only suggest staying if you need a place to lay your head for one night. Please do not spend more than $80 on a room here or you will be disappointed, because there are much better options closer in this vicinity. Lobby looks so nice, but is a little misleading. Or maybe just got bad luck and assigned to a heavily used room? Our room had stains everywhere carpet, comforter, etc- cleanliness questionable. Patchy cosmetic work. We went back down stairs to request a different room and they said they did not have anymore "clean" rooms available for the night; but could switch us the following day since we were supposed to be staying a second night. Next morning, when ended up just checking out because our night was so terrible. Random people calling the room phone past midnight, heavy footsteps from the guests above. A lot of noise since the room was located right next to the elevator. Again, do not recommend unless you are desperately in need of a quick nights sleep. read more

I like to stay in Buda because it's a lovely town with nice parks and isn't (yet) crazy crowded like New Braunfels and Austin. Reviews indicate the hotel we stayed before has apparently declined greatly since COVID, so I thought we'd try the Comfort Suites since we usually like them. This one was fine, no problems, clean, felt like a safe area, a bit removed from I-35 but not hard to figure out. Breakfast was good though a bit sparse. Love the noon checkout. Would definitely stay again. Regarding the area, Buda has nice parks for walks and hikes and the original Salt Lick BBQ is not too far. read more

Too many negatives. Breakfast was the worst. They had dried out over cooked sausage Pattie's, eggs and muffins they were hoarding. The waffle machine was out, the milk and OJ was out of a jug, like literally that's all they had. Hotels seems run down on the first floor they had 2 trash cans to hold water leak from the roof. Our room was hot and muggy and took forever to cool off. Staff was not friendly. Place looked dirty. There are plenty of other hotels in the area I recommend pick one!!! read more

Curious how the hotels are joined together for easy access, yet can be confusing at night to park at your hotel. Fairly clean lobby, yet not impressed with how the tooooo casual attire if the employees is not impressive. Coordinating uniform or business casual attire/color would be more interesting to the general public and easily identified. The lack if proper greeting was less than welcoming (to be told "I have no check ins"; instead of a appropriate greeting )[and common sense would be that we come in earlier to not "bake in the heat outside in our cars, while we wait to check in....hmmm]. The employee looked more like he was dressed to go to highschool gym class than proper eye contact with the consumer. I used the lobby facility; felt at any given time the ladies restroom door could be jammed open-the door seemed to flimsy. Once we did come back; that female employee was more professional and proper eye contact was appreciated. The exit from the elevator into the hallway was a faint stale scent walking towards the room. It was clean, good layout, but when using a hand towel, that had a strange scent of mustiness. It left a bit of sour taste in the limited healthy options for breakfast (non-vegan or different fruits than sugary items-not diabetic friendly). We instead cut our stay to just one night and choose another option. read more

The hotel room was awful. The odor was over whelming, musty and dirty smelling in the room with a faint smell of cigarette smoke. The carpet and sofa were stained as well as the mattress on one of the beds. The walls were marked up and filthy and the floor in the bathroom looked like it needed a good scrub. The edge of the carpet entering the room is taped down with red tape. We saw a roach in the room and there were also roaches in the pool area. The pool water was very cold and the hot tub was cold. The only good thing about the stay was the breakfast which was excellent and the lobby and halls were clean. The room needs shut down and remodeled. read more

Recently renovated and still kind of a mess. In room 311, the phone doesn't work and the tub doesn't drain. Nothing says sub-budget hotel like taking a shower ankle-deep in dirty water, huh? I mentioned both of these things to the front desk. Neither was repaired. However, somebody managed to leave our room door open this afternoon. Not good. Also, the ac is painfully loud and in the redesigned room, the bed is almost touching the ac. Some things are nice, but this is probably a place I'll avoid in the future. read more

What a deal my parents got when they stayed here! My dad is a fan of hotwire and he was looking to stay at a hotel close to South Austin. For really cheap he ended up getting this 3 star Comfort Suites, which is only about 7 miles or so from my neighborhood. I hung out with them at the hotel several times during their visit. The hotel is newer. There is a bar downstairs in the lobby and a nice breakfast area. Breakfast is complimentary and my dad advised that it had lots of options as far as breakfast goes. There is also an indoor pool and hot tub, which they enjoyed. My parents had a suite room up on the 4th floor. The room was nice and clean as well. There was a couch and sitting area between the bathroom and bed, which we used to visit with each other. If you are looking for a 3 star hotel that is clean, nice and exceeding expectations then I would definitely recommend this Comfort Suites location to anyone looking to stay in the area. read more

Got this hotel room reserved with points, so a free suite is always a great deal. ;) The check-in process was painless, the rooms were clean, bathroom was awesome, and continental breakfast was pretty good too. Not outstanding compared to my past hotel experiences, but it is definitely up there in amenities. I would definitely like to stay in Comfort Suites in the future, and the location of this Buda, TX hotel made my stay very convenient, as my friends and I were roadtripping around Wimberley and ATX. We stay in Buda every year for the Formula 1 race. We have stayed at several of the hotels in the area and decided to stay here this year based on the reviews online. We arrived Thursday afternoon around 3PM and everything seemed fine from the outside and lobby areas, all of these areas were clean and looked new. We checked in at the front desk, received our keys, and proceeded upstairs to unpack and get ready to go out for dinner. When we arrived upstairs, the maid service was cleaning our room so we patiently waited in he hallway with all of our bags for about 20 minutes while she finished. Until this point nothing was out of sorts. When we got into our room we noticed that the room was dirty. ( Not unkempt or out of sorts, but Dirty. Greasy hand prints on the walls, what looked like soda sprayed on the walls above the trash cans, pizza or spaghetti sauce on the wall above the other trash can, what looked to be finger nails on the carpet). We chalked this up to the maid may have felt rushed because we were waiting in the hallway for her to finish. We dropped our bags in the room and stopped by the front desk on the way out to dinner and mentioned the list above. The lady at the desk apologized and said she would take care of it and discount our room rate. When we came back a couple of hours later, the floor had been swept and the soda had been cleaned from above the trash can. That was all that was addressed for the reminder of our stay. We did not even get maid service on Sunday at all. We had to call the front desk to get towels for that evening and the next day after being at the race track until around 5PM. We mentioned this at the front desk at checkout and there was not a manager on duty. After playing phone tag with the management for a couple of days we were told "you received 20% off your rate for one night, what else do you want?"....... um, how about a clean room? I wasn't expecting a five star hotel, but with this place being relatively new and having good reviews, I was at the very least expecting a clean room and to be treated fairly by management. read more

We were extremely impressed with this hotel. It was sooo clean. No hair in the tub. No dust on lower shelves under the sink. Everything was clean. The bed was comfortable. Capet in the halls and room were clean. Hotel smelled nice. The towels and wash rags were soft, folded neatly and a good size. Good shower pressure. The lady who checked us in, Angelica, I think, was so nice and courteous. So many hotels we've stayed at recently have really fallen short and it was so nice to stay somewhere so clean and friendly and comfortable. Way to go comfort inn and suites! read more

While traveling home we encountered very heavy fog and visibility was minimal. We decided it was to dangerous to keep traveling so we had to make an unexpected stop in Buda. Found a good deal on Hotwire so at least we did not pay much. Hotel was dirty and noisy and customer service was lacking. It started with the front desk clerk who didn't even greet my husband or offer a thank you. After experiencing such a harrowing experience on the road she could have at least pretended to be concerned. But nothing, not even a smile. The hallway leading up to our room looked like it had not been vacuumed in days. The room was decent but the people next door were noisy and since the walls are thin we could hear everything. We didn't bother to move because by now it was midnight and we were exhausted. Noise from outside the hotel woke us up at about 5 am. As far as comfort, the bed was just fine but the pillows were ridiculous. They were not standard pillows but more like throw pillows. They were overstuffed and hard. Luckily we were only there overnight and as soon as the fog lifted we were back on the road. read more

On the surface everything looked good until we went to the pool. Both the pool and hot tub smelled like dirty, wet dog; the water was opaque and you couldn't see the bottom. Scary and sickening. Phone didn't work. Hallway floors dirty. Not everything was bad but the foul smelling pool polluted the entire experience. If you insist on staying here, you've been forewarned about the pool. Go to the Holiday Inn Express next door, they have a clean pool and hot tub. read more

Staff was nice and breakfast was delicious but there were a couple of issues with room service. We've had to ask for room service at-least 3 times. Also, a friend of mine left her valuables in a bag there on the last day of our stay. Somehow the bag was found but there were none of her valuables in there. Once I was there, I did what I could on my laptop and called down to confirm where the Business center was, I needed to print some docs I needed to sign. She said, yes and it was by front desk. I was going to say, the rooms are spacious, clean, and have amenities like a microwave and fridge (even if our fridge was unbalanced and set at a 45 degree angle so it rocked) I was going to say, that as free breakfasts go, it's pretty decent, eggs, sausage, toasts, bagels, yoghurts, juices, waffles etc Indoor pool, which, is heated from the hot tub so its nice and warm? Perfect! (Though no towels pool side and trash strewn around even though it was a Monday and not too busy) All great, right? The noise is terrible, first night we had the "worlds loudest snorer" man next door, which not only kept us up, but propelled our baby's swing while he was at it second night, we had opera, Mexican music and "loud blowing his nose" man, not to mention the kids running up and down the hall resulting in your whole room shaking!! What I've docked this place points because of, is service, or lack thereof. My sister and BIL were in the room across the hall and had a "music channel all night man" for both nights. On the 2nd night, around 4am, my sister went to the front desk to complain (their room phone didn't work) about the noise. The lady didn't say much, scratched her head and said "I'll go up now", they rode in silence in the elevator, no pleasantness, no helpfulness, just bleh. I love this hotel. I always stay here when I'm working in the Austin area. It's about 10 mins outside of Austin, (south of Austin), so it's out of the traffic. Beds are super comfortable, never had an issue with housekeeping, and the breakfast is pretty decent. Pricing is not bad per night, much less than if you stay in actual Austin. I recommend this hotel to those not looking for high prices, but still looking for great service and comfortable rooms. read more

The worst management !!! I will never stay at this location again ! There are many more options in the same area ! I checked in and there was not one cart up front for the luggage ! Apparently this hotel can not afford more than 2 and they don't have anyone to keep track of them !! It took 6 hours to get one, so we had to make multiple trips to our 3rd floor room. Then I stayed multiple nights and had to walk downstairs to get the card reactivated because i am assuming they don't know how to activate it for multiple days. Then I told them they didn't need to clean the room, I just needed more towels, didn't do that either. They said I could go down and get some. They said the were full and only had two housekeepers. What kind of management does not have enough staff to make your stay pleasant. I am a manager, and if my staff if not enough to give good customer service it means I need to be there to help. Brand new hotel that needs some improvements. Room 114 bottom floor by the swimming pool, doors slamming, and kids screaming all day. You ask why I would sleep during the day. Well, dozens of crickets showed up in the middle of the night in my room. So no sleep at all. I told the manager the next morning and he said he would check to see if there were crickets in my room. Although the hotel was well-maintained and my room was clean, I had a disappointing stay at this hotel. My husband and I stayed for a night on a mini, anniversary get away. We booked this hotel specifically because it had a pool, and it had a bar. Therefore, we'd be able to stay in and have a great time. However, on arrival when we asked when the bar would open, we were told that it was closed indefinitely. Huge bummer! Then, we visited the pool and hot tub which were fine except that there was trash in the hot tub, i.e. water bottle labels, etc. Otherwise, it was fine. But, we were forced to go into town just for a couple of drinks then had to drive back, exactly what we wanted to avoid in the first place. The attendants at the front desk were unknowledgeable when asked about the bar, not present when we wanted to take a picture before leaving for dinner, and rude upon check out. Nice hotel but-- the bed had ladies red hair all in the bed which led me to believe sheets had not been changed. Bathroom was spotless but is seemed there was a ant problem in the bathroom. The breakfast is great lots of variety they even had strawberry waffles it was very well put together. Now they had a sign outside advertising happy hour with alcoholic beverages from 4-7. We were excited free drink "oh yeah" well the front desk lady tells me they are still waiting on some stuff with there liquor license and can't serve alcohol yet. I thought why the heck do you have a banner advertising happy house if you can't serve drinks. The other thing that bothered me is I called the front desk and asked for a late check out. I told her we will be leaving at 2PM she said ok no problem. So we were sleeping in and planned to wake up at 1PM to head out. Well the maid from room service comes in the room without knocking and she sees us and says sorry and leaves. Then I start drifting back to sleep and about 30 min later I get a call from the front desk she asked if I was checking out or if I wanted to extend my stay. I said there obliviously is a communication break down I called at 8AM to request late check out and was told that is perfectly fine. But since your bugging the hell out of me we will be out of here in 30min. I took a shower got my family and left. The elevators are a little slow and the snack bar is way overpriced $2.00 for everything ridiculous. read more
