We spent 3 nights here and it was perfect. Clean comfortable rooms accommodating for our 2 small dogs. Well maintained and breakfast was great eggs. This hotel is disgusting. Checked in with my 3 kids & was put into what is clearly the pet room. Stunk. Dog food on the floor. Mold and holes in the walls and ceilings. My 2 year old daughter picked up a gel capsule off the floor and had it in her mouth, i found a safety pin on the floor. Dried dog slobber on the walls and surfaces. Will be contacting for a refund as I promptly packed our belongings back in the car. Checked in at noon and was out by 3:45. I didn't expect a fancy experience but i do expect a clean one. read more

I don't think I will be returning. The photos on IHG app are from about 7 years ago. This location has been remodeled. I chose this location because of the photos. I like the old style better. I'm not impressed. Looks like cheap contractors were hired for the remodel. Laundry rooms were not very clean. The best thing about our visit was the customer service at the front desk. Other than that, I was highly disappointed in the value of our stay and the price I paid. I didn't appreciate the guy smoking weed and grilling in the bed of his truck next to the pool while my kids and their friends swam in the pool. The pancake machine was under cooking pancakes as well. Yuck, and breakfast was many of the reasons why I picked this hotel. I also wasn't feeling al the lovely crickets throughout the hotel. If the quality of the rooms and breakfast matched the customer service from the front desk, then I would consider returning. read more

The rooms in this hotel are in need of a major make-over. I was very disappointed in the room I was assigned. The curtains were torn and looked as though they were the same age as the hotel. The carpeting had holes in it. And there was something going on in the bathroom, but I'm not sure what it is. I expect more from a Hilton hotel. Won't be staying here again. read more

On a trip to Austin, after a long drive, I decided to stop in Buda, and booked a last minute reservation to get out of traffic at the end of the day. Upon check, I was greeted by Megan at the front desk who was very sweet and welcoming!, She gave me info on surrounding restaurants, (There are many nearby!) The Hampton Buda was everything I expect a Hampton to be. The room was very clean, and well stocked with amenities. I'm so glad I stopped here. I got a great night's rest and took the "back route" to Austin in the morning and was at my appointment within 30 minutes. Would definitely stay here again. read more

On September 21,2024 myself and brother found this Gem of a Hilton property in Texas. Our travel started by us flying from Los Angeles to Cleveland. We drove all the way to Houma Louisiana then to Austin Texas. We arived after after 1:30am and we were greeted by the most welcoming person who treated us extremely well. I was having problems booking my rooms on the Hilton app but our front desk Angele was a Godsend. We work in the Funeral industry and as professionals who travel for work and we only stay At Hilton properties. But this stay was made very special by our front desk host. To the management of this Hilton you are beyond lucky to have such an amazing employee as Ester. She will be the reason why we continue to be faithful travelers that only stay at Hilton. I am a Hilton Honors member so I booked to keep building my rewards on my profile. I checked in through the app and skipped the front desk. As we entered our room, it was ready right at 3pm. Well after about an hour of just relaxing on the beds, we decided to watch tv. Well the audio worked, but there was no visuals. The screen was black. It was so strange so I went to notify the front desk to change rooms. They lady in the front was super kind about it and didn't question me about it. I'll post the video to the page, so you guys can see it. While she switched everything, she gave us the cookies. It was delicious! We were able to get a new room just four rooms down on the same floor. The only bad thing about this one was the AC. The AC didn't blow cold air. It was about 95 degrees outside. The lobby is ice cold and the room felt muggy since it wasn't cold. Other than those issues, everything was good. The breakfast had a lot of options and the potatoes were delicious! They had a lot of options. There was a lot of parking and the location is great. You could literally walk around and find a lot of different foods to choose from! read more

As a Diamond member of Hilton Honors, I travel frequently and careful survey new properties before selecting. In town for my son's graduation and with my young daughter, I reserved this location based on proximity to my son's residence & the reviews. It was a terrible mistake! While this area includes many nice restaurants and other hotels, this property looked awful from the outside & 20-30 yrs dated inside. If I had time I would have spoken to a manager but there was just too much happening on this trip. The carpets appeared to be 20-30 years old, as was the furniture inside the room. The room smelled stale and the bathroom was moldy (see attached photos). Completely unacceptable and I may write the corporate offices because cost of this stay surpassed that or an additional night in other major cities and the place was disgusting. Even my daughter was taken back by the room. I rarely write reviews but anyone with average-to-high standards considering this location should spend their money elsewhere...There are several other worthy options in close proximity. read more

Keycards wouldn't work, very few breakfast options, I remember there only being a couple coffee choices, but only food was waffles and eggs

I paid about $563, tax included for three nights. This hotel was located next to I-35 Freeway and HEB grocery. Our room was clean, AC was strong, and bed was comfortable. There was no daily room cleaning, arrangement had to be made with front desk. WiFi was funky. Our phones could connect, but tablet and laptop could not. This hotel STINKS! Literally Stinks!! I asked to be moved from 305 which had an over powering smell only to be moved a few rooms down to yet another stinky room. It wasn't the room per say, I guess ALL their rooms SMELL SO BAD. It could be all the mold in the walls and ceiling I won't stay here in the future and will notify all my department not to stay here when we come to training in the future. Hilton/Hampton Inn is our go-to hotel when we travel. We are diamond club members. But this hotel in Buda is in dire need of renovation and repair. The first room we were in was very damp and cold. Cold I appreciate, wet I do not. We moved a chair to use elsewhere in the room and found MOLD. So gross and unhealthy. The second room had hair on the toiletries, dried candy or something in the covers and the faucet in the shower dripped. We will not be staying at this location again and will think twice about Hampton Inn. Edited to add that the staff was fabulous and very sweet and accommodating. read more

While convenient to Main Street Buda, this place is in desperate need of a clean up and repair. Looks like it had some sort of water damage and patched walls everywhere with wrong color paint. Carpet was socks only if you know what I mean. I opened the drapes and paint is chipped all around. King suite is a good size and if this was cleaner and more out together it would be fine. Hostess did get us right in after we had unexpected change in plans, so we were Grateful for that. Big TV and desk. Not the best Hampton Inn I have stayed at - strong musty odor in the lobby and one of the elevators also smells. Halls appear very hard-used and rooms are dated and in need of an overall renovation. Could not take a shower because neither I nor my daughter could not pull up the valve on the faucet to send the water to the shower head. Front desk was polite and offered us a new room, but since my husband could pull up the valve, we decided to stay where we were, BUT we also decided this is our last night here, and won't be coming back to this hotel. Beds creaky and pillows are insubstantial. Duvets have a funny scratchy texture and slide around awkwardly. I fought with that duvet all night. Not a great nights sleep. Air conditioning works, but cycles between cooling and fresh air (this is normal). When in the fresh-air cycle the room gets humid quickly, then dries out when the cooling cycle comes on. It's an in-room air conditioner that vents to and takes in air from the outside, so the humidity goes way up when the system is "maintaining" the set temperature. Hotel is far enough away from the I-35 that you don't hear the incessant freeway roar. I don't ever eat the hotel breakfasts so can't comment on that. 2 you could do worse (but could easily do better) stars read more

The worst Hilton ever! It took 2 weeks for the clerk at the front desk to answer the phone! Even Hiltons central reservation personnel had trouble reaching them. If you need to check lost and found, don't expect a this hotel to be responsive. We are Honors Club members, so we have some experience with this chain and are generally pleased. The bed was nice, fresh, and comfortable. That covers the good. Now the not so good. First was $50 extra for a pet. If we hadn't told them they'd never know. I worked many years training dogs professionally and can tell you he is well behaved and does not make a mess or tear things up. Bill the people that damage things, not everyone. Next, the room was lacking in the typical extras for this size and price such as an extra chair to sit in while watching TV. Finally, my biggest complaint next to the extra $50, is there is no light at the desk in the room. Even with the room lights on I could not see the keyboard of my computer. All told, this is not up to the standards of even Hampton Inns. Would not recommend. read more

Told the front desk on Tuesday there is no body wash or hand soap. Got back to my room that evening and there is still no soap or body wash. They did not replace the bath towels nor were there any wash cloths. Went to the front desk and was informed they were out of body wash and given a soap bar. Furniture had stains. DO NOT STAY HERE. The hotel is ready for a major redo or to be demolish. Carpet, Mattress, all furniture, fridge leaking, spiders. You have to get on a list to have housekeeping. We did get on the list but still had to go down for towels, Toilet Paper, Soap etc. These are thing we dealt with. But the BIGGEST was our Catalytic Converter was stolen from our truck. It happen about 11:30 in the morning. Our Truck was parked right in front of the hotel. The one and only camera working is so old it did not get a good look a the car. read more

Clean, conviently located hotel in Buda right off Interstate 35. The hotel offers regular rooms as well as mini suites. We got the king bed mini suite which was very spacious. There is a wet bar area when you walk in with a microwave and mini fridge. There is a living area with a couch and large desk. I wish the bathroom were larger and nicer but it got the job done. The hotel is within walking distance to restaurants and a Cabela's and Wal-Mart. read more

It was a nice room. But it did have its flaws. We didn't get room service even though we asked before 9am as requested. The duvet was dirty. The pool was dirty it had black stuff floating around. Other than that it was pretty nice room. Oh also be careful they might switch your room without asking you first. We had reserved a 2 queen two weeks in advance but they changed it to a queen suite a day before our arrival. I guess it was nice but the pullout couch is uncomfortable. Great place to stay. Located behind Cabela and really close to walmart. Staffs are very very friendly and helpful. Apparently manager doesn't work on weekend, at lease that's what the staff told us. Super comfortable bed , average TV size with lots of channels to choose from. However, i spotted a strain of hair on the towel placed in the bathroom. Not really that big of a deal to me. Swimming pool ! I believe the depth of the indoor swimming pool ranged from 3ft to 5ft. The water pretty warm as well. Perfect! However, When you first walk in there, you will probably noticed the smell .... Of the water ? I think? But once you're in the pool, you will not notice the smell anymore. The exercise room ! Pretty small but it's okay, probably enough space to fit 3 treadmill and other equipment. We had complementary breakfast which served pretty much - cheese omelette - sausage - different type of muffins - bread - waffles - oatmeal - coffee , juice , milk - cereal And other food which the name i don't remember. Don't trust Hampton Inn for a room block We're getting married at Texas Old Town, and booked a room block at Hampton Inn. They recently had a change of ownership and chose not to honor our room block, or to tell us that they weren't. We had to find out from our guests when the link to our room block stopped working. 3/5 October 2018. We stayed here during our trip to the 2018 US GP. This location fits nicely in the middle ground of the Hampton Inn range. We've stayed at a lot of Hampton Inns across the country and I would say this one was good but not great. The staff was friendly and helpful. The Facilities were adequate. The overall condition was fairly good but slightly worn. While we've stayed in nicer Hampton Inns this one was well above satisfactory. The area is nice and has lot of food and basic necessities shopping in the area including a Walmart, grocery store, and obviously a very large Cabela's. It did feel at times like the hotel was slightly understaffed, particularly in the evenings. And the AC unit in our room was both ineffective and very loud. It sounded as if it was on it's last legs (I have a fair bit of experience with PTAC, hotel style, HVAC units). But overall I would definitely stay here again if I come back. read more

The sister had suggested staying in Buda since it wasn't too far from Lockwood (see Salt Lick review) and so I booked the Hampton Inn & Suites. We walked in to a well-lit lobby. There were cookies at the front desk but I did not partake (although the little niece told me, with a huge smile on her face, that she did on their return stay) as well as coffee in the lobby. Check-in was easy, the rooms were nice and we enjoyed our stay here. Breakfast was included and pretty substantial. Had we not been able to sit down to eat breakfast, we could have grabbed breakfast to go bags that had a muffin, apple and water in them. And the brothers were happy because Cabela's was just across the road! read more

My first time here at The Hampton. Property is pretty new. Looks nice. Is well kept. Closes the front doors after a certain period of time for safety. I like that, but it's sort of incovenient if you like to club and go home late! You'd have to tell 'em to open it for you. Has a nice indoor pool. Not a bad place looking for value. Includes a hot complimentary breakfast. Isn't bad either. Good location. Buda is in the center of San Marcos + Austin. So it's 15-20 minutes from both. This property is next to Cabelas, an outdoor store + Wal-Mart + dining. Hampton has a promise for 100% guarantee of rooms.. I did not like the bad. Tossed and turned the whole night. First time ever!!!!! Back felt terrible. Told the front desk agent the next day + she did nothing of it. Went for a swim, said the pool was heated and it was cold as ICE. seriously.. Complained about that... nothing happened. Complained twice.. still nothing the next day. ROom is clean, everything in the room isn't bad. Bed is really firm! Allowed me a late check in. read more

To top of this incredible display of service, the staff was able to locate my favorite golfing outfit that was left in the room. It was returned to me within 2 days. A simply amazing feat! I stayed here for a while when my home was being remodeled and I love the place. It's a typical Hampton Inn & Suites but what makes it unique is the staff- the staff is great! I have been staying at this hotel since it originally opened. I love the atmosphere, the staff, and the rooms. They have a nice breakfast with a variety of choices. The kitchen manager is the absolute best. The staff is always friendly and helpful.
