After reading recent and negative reviews on Wyndham. I'm happy to say my experience was far from that. Moving on, my best friend and I checked in. Front desk were kind and helpful. Across the way was the bar and dining. It was a little past midnight and we went to get a birthday celebration drink for my birthday. The bartender said they were closed. My best friend asked when did they close and she wanted to get my birthday drink. Our bartender was beyond kind. Left and head up to our room. The room was clean, and the beds were comfortable! Hotel beds tend to be meh, not this location! When we were checking out, we asked if they would hold our suitcases for an hour or two and without hesitation, they were happy to help. My two disappointments were: 1. Trying to find and drop off from the car is a hassle, even at midnight. We weren't offered any service when getting out of the car. 2. The up deck were the fitness and pool floor. The pool is extremely small, should be no more than 20 people max. The view from outside is beautiful. read more

There seemed to be a food smell as we entered but I didn't see any dining areas open. Decor seems a little older but has some cool references to music and updated wall art to help out. Booked this last minute on a Friday night in June for the next day, staying Saturday night. The room was nice, bed was comfy. Easy access to highway and it was a quiet night sleep. Abt $100/night plus tax for king bed room. Had microwave and fridge. The bar was ridiculously priced, did not want to get gouged for drinks. $15 per shot, no thanks! We did enjoy the outdoor pool. It was room temperature, so no cold shock getting in. The deepest part of 5 ft 5 inches. Nobody else was in the pool, so we extra enjoyed it. Good A/C - an important factor in Texas heat! Hot water with good pressure. Easy to get to. While it was busy we did not hear anyone or anything from our room. Sweet check in staff!! Ice maker on our floor (4) was out of order. Rugs need a MAJOR cleaning in the hallway but our room (laminate floors) was clean & while the size of the desk is RIDICULOUS, the rest of the room was fine. Bed was mid but the pillows were AWFUL. Horrible hotel - booked for 4 nights and only stayed one. Luckily they were nice enough to refund for the remaining nights. It's an older hotel and it has not had great upkeep. Walking to our room, the whole hallway smelled of weed, the carpet in the hall was NASTY, and the ceilings were maybe 7 foot tall which made it feel claustrophobic. When we got to the room the first thing I noticed was the dirty closet mirror, the missing molding on the dresser and just that it didn't feel clean. The bathroom was tiny, the sink was so low I had to bend all the way over just to wash my face. I laid towels down on the floor to stand on because it just didn't feel clean at all. The hot water was basically nonexistent and the AC wouldn't stay on cool. Scratchy towels and bed sheets... Staff was nice but I still wouldn't recommend staying here. read more

This place was a dump. It's pretty dirty, and while we haven't seen any bugs yet, I wouldn't be surprised if there are a bunch of them here. Half the lamps and appliances were not plugged in when we got here, and one of the lamps (which are the only sources of light in the room) didn't work. The staff didn't even mention the WiFi (nor is there any note or placard with the WiFi name and password), likely because the Internet was an unsecured connection that HAS no password. Don't surf the web on any finance or sensitive sites here. The fridge was broken and wouldn't stop beeping until we unplugged it. The ice machine was also broken. There's no access to drinkable water (the front desk offers bottled water for a fee), or tissues/paper towels. In terms of positives, the free breakfast (6am-10am) is actually serviceable, as there was pretty much every basic breakfast item available (boxed cereals and instant oatmeal, scrambled eggs, sausages, bagels, toast, apples and oranges, orange juice, milk, and coffee). The waffles oft mentioned in other reviews was worthy of their praise too; I'd give an extra star just for them. However, don't mistake this for fine dining - I never really understood the phrase "tastes like cardboard" until I tried their sausages, and I could swear that they reuse their eggs from the day before The pool and fitness center were average at best, but at least they were available. Was in Austin, TX to attend my cousin's funeral. Checked into Wyndham 2/20/25 around 2:30pm. Received suite key, entered the room and there was a man already inside (initially thought he was housekeeping). He was surprised as I was! I looked at my room number again and it was the room I entered. He asked if my card opened the door, and I said "Yes". Then another person (woman) came around the corner of the room and was also shocked I was in their room. I told them I'd go see what happened. Went to front desk and told them what happened, and the two hotel hosts started a slight argument amongst each other. I was then assigned a different room with no apology. Went to that room, started unpacking and getting dressed to leave to go to cousin's wake. Used the restroom only to find the toilet did not flush! Couldn't call to Front Desk as phone had missing buttons and the instruction panel was missing so couldn't choose any buttons! On my way out, I informed Front Desk of non-flushing toilet. Personnel said housekeeping was cleaning other rooms, so they probably would move me. Hours passed - no one contacted me from hotel - I called to see what the status was. I was put on hold for about 15 minutes and then person returned to call and said restroom toilet had been fixed. I returned that night, changed into pajamas, used restroom and toilet was still broken!!! I put on my coat over pajamas and went down to Front Desk. Told them I was very upset with my experience with Wyndham hotel! Told personnel I entered a room with other guests - COULD HAVE BEEN CONSIDERED A BURGLAR AND SHOT OR RAPED! Assigned a different room with BROKEN TOILET - BUT WAS INFORMED TOILET HAD BEEN FIXED!!! She apologized and said she would find me another room on Executive Floor which was an upgrade - told her I was not paying extra - she said I wouldn't have to. I told her to please make sure that room was in livable conditions because I wasn't going to move again. She said she would check. I had to go back to my room and PACK again to move. She came to my room to give me the new card and room number. I moved to that room, and it was fine. I was NEVER offered any type of refund or comp for the ordeal or unsatisfactory service I'd received. When I checked out, personnel did not ask how my stay was or thank me for staying at the Wyndham! I was told I would receive my receipt via my email on file. I HAVE NOT RECEIVED A RECEIPT TO THIS DAY! I expected more from Wyndham! We were told by relatives that another hotel chain had reserved rooms for the family - but we chose the Wyndham instead thinking it was a better hotel. We regretted choosing the Wyndham! Hotel staff were very nice. When I booked this hotel, they had complimentary breakfast according to their website, which is currently misleading as it says Hot Breakfast Available, but you pay for it. There is no wifi as they are upgrading. They hotel seems old and they might be making some improvements. The room was clean, the bed was comfy and all the room amenities work. Since this was a work trip, wifi was necessary and I had to hotspot in order to work. I don't usually make a big deal about little problems because I've worked customer service for 15 years but.. This was a big deal. So the pictures of the rooms I saw and what we got were COMPLETELY different! The hotel is old but I can deal with that, this however was not what I am complaining about. Upon arrival i did notice the place was a little low quality but when we got to the room it got worse. The ac did not work.. This was the broke me. It's texas and it's humid! The cordless phone seemed to have been left off the hook and was dead soo we went down to the lobby and let them know. They called someone on their cell to go up to fix it. A guy who I legitimately thought was a customer came up, not in a uniform, to look at it. He messed with it for a while, even taking the whole front off! He left for a second, I assumed they were going to be moving us.... But no he came back with ANOTHER AC UNIT! We were shocked! He was struggling to carry it and I honestly thought we should help him! Then another random looking guy came in to help him, if I wasn't in a room with 3 other adults I would have been terrified because they never said a word to us just kept coming in our room without uniforms! Also this is all at 1130 at night and we have a plane to catch @8am and we had driven 2 hours to get here we wanted to just go to bed but no.. We 0couldn't. So after they replaced the whole ac unit the ac still didn't work! We struggled all night just trying to get it to be colder but it never did. Needless to say we had a terrible experience. Mold, mildew, and cockroaches. We got off the elevator on the 3rd floor and saw leak stains on the uneven ceiling. Walked in our room and the smell of mildew was THICK. The bed felt damp. Saw mold in the bathroom. Asked for a different room at the front desk, they moved us to the 5th floor. It was better. Still an off putting smell, but it was tolerable. Average hotel. A bit dated and need some works (stains on ceilings, etc). Still, has some really great perks. The staff are really nice. The bed is comfortable. It has an outside pool. The bar area is fun with delicious food. The breakfast does not come for free, and I didn't try it so I can't comment on that. They are pet friendly which is very nice. Excellent location in South Austin, and an even more comfortable stay to boot. This Wyndham Garden property has a music-themed aura about it, with pictures of the legendary Stevie Ray Vaughn & other artists all over the property. The room itself was fine, yet the thermostat feature is overrated, in my opinion. I followed directions to the letter in using your room key as the access trigger, yet it didn't work. Maybe I was the one that had an inoperable one, no? The hotel prides itself in this energy-saving feature, yet still seems to be a gimmick (at least to me). I had to adjust the temps the old fashioned way by playing with the AC control modules, & praying that the room wasn't too hot or cold. Unlike some properties, this location has a full bar, as well as coffee stand (for lack of a better word) available. Breakfast isn't free here, yet there are several breakfast venues on nearby Ben E. White boulevard a mile or so away. The property has more than enough parking all around, so this never became an issue. I would venture to say that this location is about a 10 minute drive from 6th & San Jacinto street WITHOUT traffic. Overall, this is a good place to stay when in Austin. -1 star for the inoperable thermostat key access. read more

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! BED BUGS, COCKROACHES, AND MICE!!!! A few minutes after checking in we found a massive cockroach in the room. They moved us 2 rooms down where the shower still had hair in it and so did the sheets so they obviously had not been cleaned. I had to go back down to the lobby to receive the new room key and waited 15 minutes because they were so understaffed and only had one lady running the entire place. On my way to the elevator I saw a MOUSE on the first floor. All other hotels were booked for ACL so we had no other option but to stay in this dirty mouse/roach infested place. But wait it gets worse, I woke up with BED BUG BITES all over the backs of my legs. The 3 other girls staying in the room had the same bug bites. I reached out and filed a claim and was told I would be updated within a week! I still haven't heard anything back from them or even received an apology for the condition of their hotel. What a pleasant surprise! My sister and I stayed there recently because we didn't want to spend an arm and a leg for a few hours over the weekend just to sleep in. We walked in with low expectations but were in awe when we saw the cool music tributes all around the hotel. Check-in was a breeze. The front desk staff was sweet. Our room was actually pretty nice! It was a double-queen bed room. It was roomy and clean and had all the amenities we needed. The 1st floor had a bar and and Starbucks with a restaurant attached. The food was just above average. Came in to the front desk to check in and we were told that we had already checked in and gotten our room... we provided the confirmation number from our reservation and then were given a room. Went up to our room we were given and someone was already in there. Weird. Went back down and explained the situation and got placed in another room. I've stayed at the Wyndham Garden Hotel in Austin several times over the past couple of years, and have always found it to be clean and comfortable. The last few trips (including my most recent trip), I have been booking the 5th Floor King Deluxe rooms which have a beautiful view of the downtown Austin skyline in the distance (see photos) The rooms are all in good condition and are well appointed. I really appreciate the walk-in showers too -- nice and spacious. They have order-ahead breakfast service available, as well as regular room service and an on site restaurant, coffee shop and bar. The breakfast room service has been tasty and reasonably priced. The coffee shop service Starbucks brand drip coffee, but nothing really outstanding. The restaurant has a limited menu and appears to be mostly food that is frozen and reheated in a microwave -- not really worth the price. The bar area is small but has nice decor and seems popular with guests. Its only open until midnight so you dont have to be concerned about late night noise. Parking in front of the hotel is limited and isn't well lit. There is parking behind the hotel (facing the pool), but it too is dark and I've never felt comfortable parking my vehicle there. The hotel is at a good location -- right on 35 just north of the 71 interchange. Despite being next to the highway, I've never encountered any noise issues. The facility is set up as a "conference center", so occasionally they will have events there that make the first floor busy and a bit difficult to maneuver. Overall the Wyndham Garden Hotel is a good clean facility with comfortable beds and rooms (which are in the process of being renovated) and at a good location to access not only Downtown but also 35 and Hwy 71. The only downside to the hotel is the dark parking lot with limited front space options. read more

Its clear that the hotel is not up to date but really? This hotel is in my honest opinion GROSS. There was mold everywhere, the room I was assigned had dirty towels, no toilet paper and NO SHOWER CURTAIN. It also rained through out my stay and why do I wake up in the middle of the night feeling droplets of water on my face? THE ROOF WAS LEAKING. I go to the front to address the issue and hope I can switch rooms and the lady at the front gives the ugliest attitude and tells me they didn't have any room available. Inexpensive hotels of this type often provide a poor experience, and though this Wyndham isn't fancy, I found it to be a great hotel for the price. I interacted with multiple employees, including two people at the front desk, a manager and a bar tender. Everyone was professional and helpful. I've had some bad experiences at Wyndham properties, but this one was great. The hotel also has a decent restaurant and bar, a large pool area, and there was a Jump bike parked out front in what seems like a dedicated parking zone. The hotel is located in a sprawl-y area that isn't terribly pedestrian or bike friendly, but just over the highway there are some easy routes into town. If you're looking for an inexpensive hotel in Austin with easy access to downtown, this could be a good choice. Additionally, I left an expensive item in my room and the front desk was extremely prompt finding the item and communicating shipping options. I've left all kinds of things in hotels over the years and they usually disappear, even at high-end properties. The W, this ain't, but you definitely get a lot for your penny here. I've heard of rates as low as 80 bucks a night, but for SXSW, it was somewhere around $170 - which is a helluva lot better than Driskill's $500-a-night-robbery. So it's not Downtown, but stop your bitchin' because it's just about 3 exits away from it right off of 35N and Woodward. They've got the whole Texas/Hill Country decor going on, with the music theme thrown in the mix. It's clean, large, and on site you'll find a bar with patio, restaurant/cafe on the other side equipped with a Starbucks coffee shop, 24-hr business center, conference and banquet rooms, spa, swimming pool and heated jacuzzi. And they're also pet friendly (with a $35 non-refundable cleaning fee) and with no crazy pet policies - including no weight and breed restrictions or that you can't leave them unsupervised. As a matter of fact, you just leave your cell number with the front desk on your way out and they'll contact you should your pet "become distressed." My room was a standard with a king bed, not a plush marshmallow like I hoped for, but it was no La Quinta either. Bedding was average, room had cable, free Wi-Fi (though I couldn't connect), clean restrooms, good bath products, desk area, lots of lamps ... what else? Oh, bargain room service prices! And they extended the hours til 2am for SXSW. Killer breakfast tacos for $2, grilled cheese sandwich with fries for $5 and the like. That's unheard of! The only ick factor was the stained carpet, they don't have valet service, and none of the direct lines/buttons on the phone to front desk/room service, etc worked, so I had to call direct from my cellie to get transferred over. I'm so glad this hotel lived up to its expectations. The bed was comfortable, the pillows were soft and immediately felt like quick sand as I laid my head down on it. The bathroom was free of roaches and their bug friends. All the towels were white and had no stains on them. All the mini hand and face soaps, tiny bottles of shampoo and conditioner was provided. A long desk area to study at, though I wasn't doing any studying at all. A thick flat screen TV with every good channel that was needed. ESPN, Food Network, weather channel, a lot of news channels, political channel, cartoons, music channel.. A side chair with a lamp making it seem like you can sit and it to relax. The AC unit worked and my mum discovered to work it all you have to do is slide your key card in it. Pretty interesting and so modernize. There was two usb radios where you could listen to your music from your "smart" device. Also, it was a charging port too! The wall pictures were beautiful and peaceful to look at. Even some were in the bathroom. The things that wasn't good were: No free Continental breakfast, the two study book lamps didn't work. Bottom line: I'd stay here again, but I'm not sure how much I'd be willing to pay. Attended a conference at a nearby hotel; landed a room here using a "Hotwire Hot Rate" (you "buy blind" - a low rate, and you find out the hotel after you purchase) and am pleased with the amount I paid for the hotel. Seems I get lucky with those "hot rates". However, another reviewer hit the nail on the head. This hotel just FEELS OLD. The outside of the hotel, the layout of the rooms/bathrooms - just makes you feel you've done a bit of time traveling. The hallway (at least on the second floor) was interesting. The ceiling was so low - I felt I was in Willy Wonka, where they keep walking forward while the ceiling gets lower and lower....I'm a short guy - but felt like a giant walking to my room. Last negative: our king size bed was a little too firm. I do, however, like the lobby area. Seems they have a nice little coffee shop/restaurant and decent areas for people to hold events/conventions. And, I like they strive to be energy efficient. When you allow a friend with different hotel standards to book a last minute hotel in Austin, this is what you get. She said the Wyndham and everything I saw online looked good. I obviously was looking at the other Wyndham properties in Austin. Face palm. Imagine my surprise when we rolled up and it was sketch city. Our first room was an outdoor room, which was literally outside. You exited the hotel and it was like a motel room almost. Weird. We requested a room that could not be accessed by the general public. They accommodated the request--for an upcharge of course. Whatever. Make it safe. The room we got upstairs--222 for all my Rick Ross fans--was much safer, could not be accessed from the great outdoors, and was just slightly outdated. Needless to say, I would not choose this hotel ever again. But when you allow someone with vastly different taste to choose the hotel, this is what you get. Oh well, at least we had a good time ringing in the new year in Austin. This hotel definitely helps to keep Austin weird. That's for sure. read more

Really, I should give this place one star. Honestly, I don't think they could find their you know what with both hands. The room was fine, although it took the maids over an hour to clean the room (no idea why it took so long) The continental breakfast wasn't bad, but the dining room was always hot and unpleasant to sit in. The front desk people really need classes in customer service. The biggest issue here is that they double charged me, and have done nothing to fix the issue. I paid for my reservation through priceline. When I got to the hotel, they asked me for a card for the security deposit. I gave them my debit card (didn't have a credit card at the time, I was waiting on my replacement card) They charged for the full price of the stay, and then after my stay was complete, those charges never fell off. I have contacted corporate customer service who basically has said there is nothing they can do because each of their hotels are independently owned so they need to get in touch with the ownership group and work with them. I have contacted the hotel directly, and they have said they "turned it over to their regional manager" but would only provide an email address where that manager can be contacted, and no one else would speak to me about the issue. I first reported the issue over a week ago, and they have yet to refund the money. There is absolutely no excuse for it to take this much time to get this fixed, and not have anyone who can speak to the issue. Be aware that this is a rinky dink operation, and assuming you aren't a lady of the night, or some similar transient, you would be best off avoiding this Ownership group. read more

Well everything was going great throughout the stay then the problem began. My wife left her diamond solitaire pendant and diamond earrings that I gave her 24 years ago on the counter and didn't realize until after we got back to Dallas. We called the front desk and was transferred to housekeeping who told us she would call back after inquiries are made. Well the day went by with no call. Next day still no call. Called them back and everyone played dumb. Was promised that they would look into it and call back. Same thing happened but different day. Heard nothing from them. Sent email to regional manager explaining the problem but have yet to hear back from him. So there is a house keeper with new jewelry or pawn money in her pocket. We were only in town for the night and every place in South Congress was sold out so we decided to stay here. The staff was very nice, the room was clean. The drawback was the common areas, lobby, halls, etc seemed very worn and was in a bad need of a facelift. One of the weird things about this hotel was the low ceilings. I'm not a tall guy but I was able to touch the ceilings in the halls without stretching and reaching up. I would say the ceiling height was less than 6.5 feet. It was weird that the halls had a drop ceiling. I've not seen that in a hotel before. This was also true in the lobby when you got closer to the room elevators. All of a sudden the ceiling lowered. The carpet in the halls were really worn and there were some stains on the walls in some of the common areas. I was really expecting the worse when I got to my room, but it was clean and had laminate flooring which actually made the room look cheap, but it was better than most carpeted hotel rooms I've stayed in. Again, common areas are worn. The staff was very nice and rooms were decent. If you're on a budget this place might be for you. read more

Service was okay, but, as soon as we entered the room, we were greeted by a hot and humid room known only to Texas sheds. Thankfully, the AC was good enough to make it comfortable in 10 minutes. The proof of how poorly the rooms are kept when guests are vacant is in how its amenities have water damage... from humidity. Also, an insect came out to escape the AC. I've stayed at many less fancy places for $50 a night with much nicer rooms. If you don't care about bars and hot tubs, I strongly do not recommend this hotel's $90-100 rooms. read more

Bedbugs!!!!! My daughter woke up in the morning covered in what appeared to be bedbug bites. I reported it to hotel staff, and I called and notified the city code department. I left the hotel with nothing but my phone, laptop, and keys. I left all suitcases and clothing and belongings behind so that I wouldn't carry any bedbugs back home with me. I emailed the hotel manager pictures of my daughter's bites and all the belongings that we lost. She emailed me back and said she had a pest control company inspect the room, and no bed bugs were found. She emailed me a copy of the pest company's report. On that report it shows line items under the heading "History" and a prior balance. In the line item it says, "Second Bed Bug Treatment". This hotel manager told me she would offer me a gift certificate to come back and stay again. I declined the offer. read more

Deserves 5 stars except for (a) considerable highway noise through window, (b) insufficient lighting, and (c) dated fixtures. I'm staying on floor 5 - the renovated, "executive" floor. There is an amazing amount of desk/work space (see picture below), which made it easy to prepare and organize documents for a deposition. The bed is very, very comfortable, there are 2 cozy robes in the huge closet, a refrigerator, and, in the bathroom, a wall mounted magnifying mirror, lots of fluffy cotton towels, a large shower, and very nice shampoo, conditioner, lotion and soap. This is a great location because you have options to get to downtown without having to engage in Austin traffic. And, the restaurant, ReVive, is REALLY good. My recommendations to the property: replace the windows to reduce traffic noise, and install overhead, energy efficient LED lighting. read more

Stay away from this hotel. The manager in regards to customer service is rude and disrespectful. If you ask her a question she will accuse of being argumentative, and completely ignore questions you are trying to ask. This place isn't worth your time, and you can definitely find better. This place needs to evaluate who works there. read more

I travel fairly often for work, and this was one of the less enjoyable hotels I've ever stayed in. I checked in around 10 PM and was given a room on the ground floor, which I requested something higher, but they claimed they did not have available. Fine. Unfortunately it was beside the bar, which is very loud. I walk into the room and see that this hotel has been renovated within the last several years, I am guessing. The renovation job was done rather poorly in almost all aspects. Toilets were off center, cabinetry was shoddy, old wallpaper boarders painted over instead of removed, the addition of annoying light switches that required a card to be inserted to have power in the room, but I did appreciate the addition of hardwood floors instead of old dingy carpet. Or at least I thought I did. I suppose using a vacuum quickly is easier than a swiffer or a mop. Upon closer inspection, there were many long hairs scattered all over the floor. I'm not talking about three or four, I'm talking 30 or 40 that I could see (estimate). The floor was also rather dirty in general. This was rather offputting, to say the least. So I went back to the front desk and told them that the floors were not clean and so they transferred me up to the top floor. Strange that they said they had no other rooms available, right? Well, I figured out why immediately upon opening the door. The smell of the room hit me rather quickly. There had clearly been dogs in that room. I sleep with the dog in my bed every night that I am home, so not clean dogs. Also, it primarily smelled of dog urine near the bed. I'm guessing one of the dogs urinated on the side of the bed. I call down to the front desk and notified them that there was still an Ozone generator left in my room. They said they assumed it must be from the rain? Again, rather odd. Why would they need Ozone, which works to kill odors, but is toxic, for a musty smell? This was not a musty smell. Again, I have a dog. I know what dog urine smells like. The maintenance man came up to gather the Ozone generator and I asked him if he smelled it too. He claimed he only smelled Ozone. What he didn't know was that I have purchased Ozone generators before. I am very familiar with them and the smell, very distinct, of Ozone. This was not that smell. I was also informed that dogs are only allowed on the first floor. I knew I wasn't crazy, so I started looking around. Sure enough, on the bedskirt, there were dog hairs embedded into it. Also, luckily for me, I always travel with some sanitizing wipes just in case I need to make a pitstop in a disgusting airport bathroom. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ are used one of these around the area of the urine smell the strongest, and sure enough it came back some white yellow. In addition, there was all kinds of dirt on the white. So I got down on my hands and knees and used a few of those wipes to make a somewhat clean area for me to take my shoes and socks off and get into the bed. I'm really not as picky as that sounds, but this place was disgusting. At this point, I was tired of fighting. I have been traveling most of the day and was ready to go to sleep. I go to pull the comforter off of the bed, and then see the sheets have not one, but multiple holes in them. Icing on the cake, so to speak. One thing I will say, is that the towels were far superior to what I was expecting. They were absorbent, clean, and plentiful. I expected something slightly better than tissue paper. Well done. I definitely would not choose to stay here again, so I don't recommend you staying here either unless you are absolutely desperate and this is The absolute only hotel with room in all of Austin. However, I would probably drive outside of town just to avoid this place. I am 100% serious when I say that I have stayed in plenty of Motel 6's and have never found one as dirty as this. read more

I loved this hotel. This was one of the hotels suggested to us when we were coming in for a conference at a venue nearby. My cousin lives close by and she recommended we stay here as well. Since we were travelling with my teen, having a decent pool on premise was also a plus. We had a tasty breakfast buffet and the staff was quick to get us out and on our way for our conference and gave us a to-go cup for our tea/coffee without us even asking - nice touch. The price point was good. I called earlier and asked for a price and got a quote. When I called back a week later, I was quoted a different rate. I asked if they could do better considering the earlier quote and he came back with an even better price than originally quoted the week before. Parking was ample to and well lit. We will probably stay here again next year. read more

Disappointment after disappointment: I have a bunch of pictures to share: 1: Doesnt the hotel monitor whats going on. The first night There were people running up and own the hallway from 10pm to about 1230 am. These teenage girls that were a few rooms down also knocked or kicked my door very loudly 4 times waking up my entire family. I tried to call the front desk but... 2: The phone didn't work. The front desk button and so I called the number on the phone it self, guess what that didn't work either. 3: The second night it started again This time I immediately opened the door and saw the girls run into room 436. I had to look up the number to the hotel online in order to call the front desk. I demanded something be done. They said they would send someone up but after waiting in the hallway for around 10 minutes I called the front desk again and someone else answered and said the first person was coming but.... 4: I can go somewhere else if I'm not happy. (Really I'm already in my PJs trying to sleep) 5: I went downstairs and wanted a phone number for corporate, they instead gave me a number to the general manager, Bryant. 6: In speaking with Bryant the last morning, he listened somewhat to my concerns, but really didn't give me a feeling that he cared at all. 7: The pool the pool was closed the entire time, I picked this hotel for a pool and a gym (The water in the hot tub was almost green) 8: No TV in the Gym just hanging wires 9: The treadmill had a slippery surface on the running area. This caused me to slip and hurt my ankle. 10: The smith machine (Exercise machine with cables and weights) On one half dosent work at all because the cables are damaged. The other half barely works but cannot use 2/3s of that function because it doesn't go down all the way. (CREATES A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE) 11: No dumbbells, The empty rack is there however. 12: Duck taped the handle on the gym door so it works properly. 13: The bathroom sink, hot water side doesn't shut off unless you turn the handle just right. (Somewhere in the middle) 14: The toilet had a slow leak. (This is an issue when you're trying to sleep and every 15 mins or so it refills itself for a few seconds. 15: Cereal on the floor from a previous guest. A better job sweeping would be nice. I paid a little more for a Wyndam because I wanted a better place for my family to stay. This place is worse than a Motel 6 read more
