Jasmin Terrace at El Molino - How the fuck am I supposed to get in my car Jasmin Terrace?!????

Luckily, I found Jasmine Terrace! From the moment I started looking into facilities I felt very comfortable at Jasmine Terrace. My first encounter was with Lori, who gave me a tour and explained everything that the facility had to offer. Lori was so helpful with all my questions and concerns. She was so caring not just for my father but for me and making the decision of moving my father into a facility. To this day Lori has a genuine concern for my father's well being. My father has been at Jasmine Terrace for over two months now, and he is doing so well, so much that his doctor agreed to lower his medications. Every time I visit, he is clean & shaven and his room is always clean. His day nurse "Glenda" is great with him! The night staff and all the aides are so caring & comforting. I visit him a lot and I watch how they care for all the patients. I know with all the different levels of patients, their job can't be easy, but they make it look so effortless. They really know their patients, and they have really gotten to know my father too. When my father and I walk around the property, every staff member knows him by name and always say hello and get him to smile. I was worried about my father wandering or trying to "escape" from a facility, but this has never happened. I attribute this to the level of care and great staff that watch over my father. Although it is a memory care facility, most patients have the ability to walk around the entire facility & courtyard - this was perfect for my father who loves to walk constantly and loves being outdoors in the courtyard. I am so happy that I can rest assured that my father is being cared for and in a safe environment where he is doing so well. Thanks to EVERYONE at Jasmine Terrace! Sincerely, Martha W.

Dealing with Virgina (older Filipino lady) to do an intake is the biggest waste of time. She is so…read moreunprofessional and sloppy, it is very frustrating corresponding back and forth with her when she goes out of town so often for "family emergencies", and is the main point of contact for intake. My mother is an Air Force vet that has frontotemporal dementia. She is 63, which is a little early to be experiencing this. I went on a tour of this facility back in January, so this has been a very slow process. I told Virgina my mothers age the day of the tour where she wrote it down, as well as other details such as the current facility my mother is at. I was concerned when I would call back to check on the process that she would ask me the same questions over and over, as if Virgina is suffering from dementia herself. She has been making false promises since February when she verbally told me my mother was approved to move in the first week of march. The first week rolled around and I didn't hear anything from Virgina, so i called her direct cell where i have been getting sent to voicemail ever since because she apparently has been having back to back family emergencies or events where she goes out of town (lol). She will send you to voicemail, then ask to call back later through text. I guess this facility was rieed of my checking on the status of the placement because they finally determined today after months of deliberation that my mother is suddenly "too young". This was already after Virginia said she would be moving within a week. They knew my mother's age months ago, it seems as if they are just lazy and want to pick and choose who to care for. Glad they showed their true colors before I sent the person I love the most in the world here... if anyone can suggest facilities that are diverse and have caring staff (as my mother is black), I would be totally open to suggestions because I am starting from square one again.

The staff was so lovely and accommodating and as we walked around I noticed that they had at least twice as many staff as I've seen at the other places we've explored. It really made me feel reassured that my family member would be very well taken care of. My mom was also very pleased with the idea of having her own room, and since she loves to garden in her free time, the nurses assured her that she was more than welcome to get her hands dirty if she wanted to. I really wanted to find a place where my mom can feel at ease and happy but where she can still be looked after, especially in an emergency. I think we've found the perfect place.

My sister had a beautiful big room with all of her things in it including her desk, computer, TV and DVD player, large bookshelves, and pictures on the walls. It really felt like her own apartment. She was unable to walk and was moved from her wheel chair to her bed in a hydraulic lift. The staff were warm and loving and always ready to do whatever she wished. She liked to do things on schedule so they helped her to set up a daily plan. Every member of the staff was friendly, patient, and kind. They listened to her requests and and appreciated her humor and wit. She enjoyed the home cooked food that was prepared for her and the other residents. And, in good weather often was taken outside to eat lunch or look at the beautiful, quiet garden. When she was first there she joined in exercises every day after breakfast. Our family visited her often and on occasion would take her out to the gazebo in the garden for an ice cream treat or special lunch. We enjoyed having Vanessa celebrate all the holidays in a big way. We had the Easter Bunny visit, visiting musicians, Fourth of July Flags, and Treats for Halloween. We all were very pleased with everything and everyone there. We were fortunate indeed to have found such a wonderful place for my sister to live out her last days. I heartily recommend this very special Board and Care home.

I cannot express enough gratitude to John and his incredible team at Senior Helpers. During a…read moredifficult time for my family, when we were struggling to afford home care for my dad, John went above and beyond to find a solution that worked for us. Our budget was tight, but John took the time to guide us through the options available, helping us secure free home care for my dad through his partnerships. His company might have been the only place where they can help to get free homecare set up once you have a Medi-Cal card! Most other places that we have called do not take Medi-Cal at all. His deep knowledge of resources and willingness to assist families in need truly sets him apart. Senior Helpers offers a variety of programs to help offset the costs of home care, making it possible for families like mine to receive quality care without financial strain. Thanks to John and his dedicated staff, my dad is now receiving excellent home care from their amazing caregivers. The caregivers have been compassionate, patient, and truly attentive to his needs. They treat him with dignity and respect, providing not only essential care but also companionship that has greatly improved his well-being. Their professionalism, kindness, and commitment to helping seniors get the care they deserve are unmatched. If you are looking for compassionate, reliable, and knowledgeable home care services, I highly recommend talking to John and his Senior Helpers team. They truly care about the families they serve, and I am forever grateful for their support during our toughest times!

However, I truly believe that they deserved a review so here I am writing a review for them! I needed a caregiver for my grandma due to several reasons: transportation to doctor's appointment on weekdays, to help her with whatever she needed when I or my mom wasn't around, and to alleviate some stress from my mom. I was hesitant at first as I was reluctant to trust a stranger to help my grandma who I truly care for. However, I needed someone to be there when I or my mom wasn't present so I decided to give it a try. I initially called many different agencies and decided to go with Senior Helpers due to their professionalism, care, and being honest. John, the owner of Senior Helpers, scheduled an in-home assessment and asked thorough questions regarding the condition of my grandma and what her needs were. After going through the assessment, I was pleasantly surprised with the process. We connected on a personal level too as he told me a little bit about his mother. You can see how genuine he was towards me, my mom, and my grandma. He followed up with me after the assessment and after some deep thinking,I decided to go with Senior Helpers. John made the process easy and fast for me. He designated a caregiver right away for my grandma with a set schedule that we agreed upon. Caregiver was always prompt on time and updated me with everything that I asked for. John, followed up with me separately to ensure my mom, grandma, and I were satisfied with their service. Initially, I was reluctant to give this a try, but I'm extremely happy that I did as my grandma was able to connect with her caregiver on a personal level and also got to trust the caregiver. I am thankful and grateful to have found an agency that truly cares for my family rather than just having the mindset of getting clients. I am beyond satisfied with their services so far. Once again, thank you John and your team for helping us out!
