Had our cars towed and are now being ignored by the manager…read more I booked 2 rooms for one night through ParkSleepFly solely because of the perk of being able to leave our vehicles parked at the hotel for the duration of our trip to BC and skip the airport parking. After making the reservation I called the front desk to ask about the parking situation and was told that there was a gated lot that we would be allowed to park in. When we arrived we were told to park in the alley behind the building. When i asked about the gated lot my question was ignored and I was rudely told "we don't have a theft problem" before she pulled out 2 wheel locks from behind the counter. We parked behind the building next to a long line of other vehicles that were there from the hotel and went on our trip. We did not hear from the hotel for the rest of the trip. When we returned we found the entire row of cars gone, ours included. No call from the hotel to let us know what had happened. The very nice front desk person told us that the spots we had been told to park in were not explicitly owned by the hotel and they were in a parking dispute with the neighbor who had had all of the vehicles towed. They put us on the hotel shuttle to where they said the vehicles were, which was a random side street, only to find our vehicles weren't there. After another 40 minutes we were told they had found one car, but had no record of the other. Luckily it was parked on the same street as the first, both with $200 tickets. The front desk employee told us that they would pay the tickets and to reach out to the manager for any other concerns, but kept going to the back, presumably to speak to the manager who would not come out to speak to us directly. When I did reach out to the manager, Jean, asking for confirmation that both tickets had been payed and for a refund for the cost of our stay, I received one email stating that they would be paying one of the tickets. When asked for confirmation that they had been payed, about the refund, or about the second ticket we were ignored, as were our multiple follow up emails. I don't usually write reviews, but this has been one of the most unpleasant travel experiences of my life.

The bathroom was modern and had a large adjustable showerhead with good water pressure. The decor in the room wasn't super new or out of date, it's exactly what I'd expect from a hotel in this price range. Every morning we got a bag of snacks delivered to our room in lieu of a breakfast due to Covid restrictions. Considering they could have cancelled breakfast altogether, this was a welcome addition - bottles of water, fruit, cheese, granola bars, yogurts, they really gave quite a few things (plus there was coffee and a pot in the room already). Staff were friendly and helpful. The area itself is convenient, with Atwater metro and Alexis Nihon mall a 5 minute walk away. The local standout for us was Shaughnessy Cafe, a 2 minute walk away. The hotel is located on a quiet, residential street. Considering that small, sketchy, dubiously legal Airbnbs were priced similarly to this hotel room, I felt we really got value for our money. The stay was super enjoyable and I'd definitely come back again.

Traveling with kids for a very long weekend trip to Montreal, some pros and cons:…read more - the little suites were perfect, insofar as we crammed our party into one room, we were able to all sleep pretty comfortably using the sofa bed in the living room as the extra. The double beds were just a bit too small for adults but oddly enough the sofa bed in the main room was full queen size, albeit with a thin mattress. There are balconies, although with an odd step up, and no furniture on them or furniture in the suite which can be schlepped out to the balcony. The kitchenettes are adequate and include a mini-dishwasher. - excellent self-serve although fairly standard-style breakfast bar wiith hovering service (we felt obliged to tip but you ought not), some items you can sneak to go without any disapproval (the fruit and yogurts were a godsend). - friendly and attentive staff. - the pool is small and almost too artful (with sharper edges for style that are not kid-friendly) but has a stunning view of the city from the top level penthouse. (Although the people who went back to their rooms in their suits, dripping on the elevators, were not appreciated, I can't blame them as the changing space near the pool area is quite limited and not advertised as such). The small fitness room has five or six pieces of equipment but also has a stunning view, fwiw. - parking available on-site with unlimited in and out (although see also: cons). - location, location, location! This is a fairly quiet little residential side area of Westmount, but only a block and a half from the Atwater metro stop, so it's very easy to get around from here. There's also a gajillion dining options within a few blocks' walk, including several small grocery stores. Cons: - unusable TV system, that requires one go back to a main menu for every change of the channel (no surfing) and which does not have an adequate program guide and only a few channels for kids. If you need to get the kids out of your hair for sanity when sharing a small suite and need to rely on an electronic baby sitter, it just doesn't work. They can easily upgrade this and they should. - housekeeping was a bit indifferent. It wasn't dirty, but they didn't replace towels one day when we put them in the "please replace" pile, got two bottles of lotion and no shampoo another day, and they didn't get the rugs vacuumed. We also didn't have enough bed covers and had to request them (although the front desk was right on the case). - parking garage, as noted in other reviews, is very old school and difficult to get in and out of. We just left the vehicle there, though. - price, in season, was a little on the high side (with taxes and parking and everything, close to C$300 a night), but to be sure we inadvertently found ourselves in the middle of multiple events, including the Women's World Cup, so it's to be expected. It was reasonable given the breakfast and convenience, as we saved some $ on food and transportation. - because it's an old converted high rise, it was missing amenities like room service, a restaurant, a large lounge area (the breakfast area was built instead) and a true concierge. There is a mini-store for late night munchies right next to the desk, in the modern fashion, and you can charge the items to your room. - the elevators are a disaster; two small elevators which seem to double as service elevators made for very slow and uncomfortable going up and down. This was particularly awkward with kids. Bottom line: a decent option for traveling with kids, if you can afford it, and if the business traveler can stand the kids hanging around, a good business suite option for a longer stay.

First - Each time, my family selected this place for our stay. I arrived a few days earlier, but chose a Montréal boutique hotel for that time. On the morning of my check-out from my original hotel and check-in to this Hilton Garden Inn, had called in advance to see if I could get my room before their normal check-in time of 3 because of a 2 PM hour-long online work-related session I was joining. They informed me that they were unsure what would be available, but to come on over to see what the situation was then. When I arrived shortly after noon, the man behind the desk attempted to be helpful, noted nothing yet. A woman, maybe his supervisor, unpleasantly interjected, sounding dismissive of my request. The man took all my info, checked my bags into their luggage room, then suggested I return before my session. Upon my return, he told me nothing was still available, but provided the Wifi password to participate in the session in the lobby. Despite several queries afterwards, my room only became available late, after 3:30. The next morning, my brother and I went down for some breakfast. Only a few tables were occupied, inefficiently spread across the entire restaurant requiring a lengthy walk back for forth for the sole waiter. While we waited, one man at the back seemed to be focused on something else and a couple joined us for the wait to be seated. After 15 minutes of being ignored, we left to get food elsewhere. Yes, it's a convenient location. Yes, my King Suite was nice with a separate front living area/workspace, (that really would have been helpful,) albeit slightly dark. My family likes their gym facilities when they come to town, which they took advantage of. That being said, this problematic service experience made the Centre-Ville Hilton Garden Inn not a first or even second choice for me on any future visits to Montréal.

The location is close to shopping and there are plenty of restaurant choices within walking distance. The hotel staff is super friendly and very helpful. As do all Hampton Inn hotels. This one has green breakfast and a nice open feeling breakfast area. They have a pool and a gym which are on par with other locations too. The rooms are clean and the only exception I saw to everything not being updated was my tub. It looked a bit aged but heck, it's a tub. It wasn't moldy but show chips and repair work from the years of age. Other than that, the pricing here is always competitive, beds are comfy and rooms are quiet. Enjoy!

I was early AF for my check-in and was prepared for the usual run around. What I wasn't expecting was Kassandra and Shakira. They went above and beyond to get me in my room hours earlier than I could have ever expected. They sent me into the restaurant to grab a bite to eat and before my pancakes came out they already had me in a room and ready to sleep. Later on that night Rei was able to help me with delivery options and with subway directions for the next day. She didn't need to do that but it was extremely appreciated. These ladies are hard-working and an absolutely perfect representation of the Hilton brand
