That was all very enjoyable. We have some specific needs so our not-so-great experience might have been fine in different circumstances. When traveling we need either two adjoining rooms or a suite with a door on the bedroom because one of us has extreme sensitivity to the sound of snoring (and of course the other of us snores). For that reason we chose the Hotel Bethlehem's Suites at 462, across the street from the main hotel. We got the smallest suite, which ran over $500 a night with fees and taxes. I mention the price because it was by far the most expensive hotel of our trip to Pennsylvania which naturally raises expectations, so my review is a little more critical than it might ordinarily be. First, the walls were paper thin. Not just in the suite but between suites. We could hear someone in the adjacent suite snoring loudly. The hotel provided a cot to use in the living room and the cot was truly horrible - all metal bars and lumpy springs. Neither of us got any sleep and we ended up getting an additional room at the Hyatt up the street so we could each sleep in a bed. At the prices they charge, surely a modern and comfortable mattress on the cot shouldn't be beyond the hotel's budget? As for my fussiness based on the room price - there were no amenities like shampoo, conditioner, or body wash. Only a small mirror over the bathroom sink, so dressing for something formal is guesswork. A really crappy coffee maker that only worked with weird packets of unpalatable coffee. Small things that were shabby or didn't work, like lights that flickered, office style drop ceiling panels that slammed loudly when opening the bedroom door. I was unimpressed and very unhappy that we needed to get a second hotel room just to get some sleep. They never asked how our stay was or I would have told them these things in person. I'm not inclined to stay here again, nor would I recommend the place, no matter how grand or historic the lobby is.

Our stay at this hotel has been absolutely horrible. The staff have been disrespectful,…read moreunprofessional, and unnecessarily hostile toward our group and other sports teams staying here. We have been threatened with being kicked out multiple times over damage we did not cause. Staff have gotten angry at us for walking to our rooms, having fun during normal waking hours, and playing knee hockey with adult supervision after being told it was allowed. They have also spoken rudely to parents and allowed other guests to insult our group. The situation escalated to the police being called, and one of our team's parents was arrested following an incident involving the front desk. Our coach had provided the staff with a phone number to call if any issues occurred, yet nobody contacted her when the police showed up. This lack of communication was extremely disappointing and unprofessional. We were also uncomfortable with the situation involving employees living at the hotel while guests are treated this way. Checkout is at 11 a.m., and despite late checkout being an available option, our group was refused that accommodation. If this hotel is going to host sports teams, it needs to learn how to treat them with basic respect. If the staff cannot handle hosting teams, then they should not be hosting them in the first place. We are paying guests and deserve to be treated accordingly. I would not recommend this hotel to families or sports teams.

Thankfully you can pull up to the hotel and temporarily park there but that can probably accommodate only about half a dozen cars so if it's a busy day, you might end having to lug all your stuff across the street from the garage. The hotel does validate parking which is nice. Breakfast is included which is nice. It does end at 9 AM on weekdays. I thought they had a nice selection of hot foods. There were eggs, bacon bits, sausage, pancakes. My husband went back for more pancakes. There was also hot oatmeal and toppings, not just those cheap instant oatmeal packets. My husband also enjoyed the coffee. Apart from the usual half and half for creamer, they also have oat milk. There was a nice selection of teas for tea drinkers like me. We had a room with a king bed which was fairly spacious. It had a mini fridge, a desk and chair and a sitting area. The drawback about the shower was at the shower "door" didn't actually extend the full length also water squashes everywhere after a shower. My husband also saw an enormous smushed cockroach near the lobby elevator. We arrived relatively late at night due to travel. I called to head to the hotel to let them know that we were going to be delayed and they said to call back if we were even more delayed to avoid being marked as no shows. I was a little taken aback as we had already paid for that night's day and I'd never heard of being marked by a hotel for being a no-show simply for arriving late in the evening. Overall we had a decent stay and would consider staying again. I'm just glad I wasn't the one who saw the smushed cockroach or when it was alive.

Right across the street is a garage where hotel guests park for free with validation. The lobby is wonderful with seating, front desk, breakfast dining area, and an on-site eatery and bar. (The breakfast looked amazing but we can't get up that early.) Pamela and Krishna were exceptional front desk staff that made our stay enjoyable. Our room was large and clean with a great heating and cooling system. There was a problem with the bathroom: The inside door handle was broken. The shower was too small with a strange half-door that even if angled properly, still sent water to the floor. The water remained warm and never got hot. The fitness center isn't much and we passed on the pool and it's milky water. It really looked sickly. Sleeping was great but the major problems occurred on the morning of our departure. Check-out is at noon yet, even with our "do not disturb" sign out, a housekeeper knocked on the door at 10:30 AM while we were sleeping. I think she wanted to make sure we were up to check out on time because she didn't knock on anyone else's door. At checkout, there was no way for me to pick up my girlfriend because six vehicles blocked the small entrance/exit to the property. Even though there's a parking sign for 15 minutes, one SUV remained there for over a half-hour. We will give this property another shot because Hyatt's are usually a step above.

From the moment we checked in with Nadia, we knew it was gonna be a great experience. Our family surprised us with an evening of food and drinks from the local area. It turned out to be a larger crowd than I was expecting! The hotel had no issues with it. We enjoyed the lounge area and didn't interfere with the other guests. We shared our food with the staff. One huge plus is that they have the best coffee, and it's available 24 hours a day freshly brewed per cup. Wow. The other staff were amazing. Eli and Jenean, thank you!!

The front desk people were extraordinary nice and friendly as they should be of course. And why wouldn't they? They have a great gig. They hooked us up with a ride back to the airport in a van. Great perk. Free breakfast in the morning! Who wouldn't like that? Except I'm not sure if they were real eggs. Anyway.... The room was comfy. Updated bathroom. Very pretty. Just need to update the heating system to forced air. It was really loud and had to turn it off. I have a TAAP Expedia account so the room wasn't expensive at all. Btw, I can book rooms for anyone anywhere on here. I'm a travel agent. Just message me and I'll hook you up with a nice trip.

Found that there was availability here and used the Hilton App to secure the room. The website showed photos of a hot tub and I called to confirm because we had some issues recently with hot tubs at hotels and they told me on the phone they did not have a hot tub. We did use the indoor pool still and it was nice, but we always prefer a property with a hot tub. The desk employees were nice and helpful. The room itself was good. Had a small galley style kitchenette, common area with a couch and chair, and the bedroom and bathroom located off of that. The bed was a king size and was comfortable. Bathroom was small but worked just fine, water pressure was good. We used the kitchen to heat up a meal we had made at home and to make some drinks so that was good. Price was a bit high but I'd guess that was from booking this last minute. We would stay here again.

I quickly called the front desk and requested the room to be changed as I had a party of 3 and we would be using the sofa bed. I was given a 2nd room, the second room was also a King Studio. In this room, we went to use the toilet and the bathroom light was out. Again, I called the front desk and I was moved to a 3rd room. The 3rd room was adequate. The hotel rooms are pretty worn down. The quality touch in cleaning and replenishing the room is lacking. The kitchenette did not have any soap or sponges. When we went to eat there were no forks. I went to the front desk to get some plastic ones. The front desk clerk suggested I check the dishwasher. When I opened it was full of plates and the rest of the utensils. I selected this hotel because it was pet friendly and in a good area, however the cleanliness and attention to detail was lacking. Overall, it wasn't the worst hotel I've been at, but the Hilton and affiliate brands have really declined. It's disappointing they continue to charge 3/4 star hotel prices but give 2 star hotel quality services.
