These guys are amazing. After having other firms try to fix my antique (70-year-old) furnace, I called Comfort Air. I should have called them six months earlier. It took them a day to fix the problem and all the problems the other contractors had created by not understanding how old furnaces work. Comfort Air was very professional, called when they said they would, delivered estimates well within reason and market value, and delivered on their promises on time the first time. If you have an old furnace, call these guys. As a testament to how well they did fixing my old furnace, when I upgrade to a brand-new system with duct work (which my house currently doesn't have), I'll be using Comfort Air. read more

I live in Wonder Lake and called with an AC problem mostly because they were so close. I think it was the owner Tom who came out and he did a great job. Nothing special per say but friendly, reasonable and while I was skeptical about the service agreement, It turned out to be a God send. Since that day, I have had multiple problems and every time they send somebody out the same day and always get it fixed. If you have the service agreement, you save a ton of money and trust me, if you live in the area, you will not find a better company. They don't make the prices up, they have listings of what things cost so it's the same price for everyone. This is my HVAC company for as long as I own my house and live in Wonder Lake. read more

Coming from Jason that meant alot because I trust him because he is that way. Me being a recent widow and raising 3 teenager daughters on my own I was not interested in trying to be taken advantage of. I am glad I called Comfort Air. Tom, is local and a straight shooter. Comfort Air has been servicing our home and commercial property for 20 years. Tom is a true professional and maintains our equipment like it is his own. Repairs are done only if needed and our service agreement for the commercial property has operated like clockwork. He or his staff is on our roof quarterly without any phone calls from us to bring him out. Our equipment always operating efficiently with very little need for actual repairs. We've only had good experiences with Comfort Air, and would (and have) recommend them to anyone in need of their services. When we needed a new furnace, they actually found one that was the wrong size for another home (but was perfect for ours) and because it wasn't brand new, we received a nice discount on the unit--without even asking for one. During the course of selling my house I had Comfort Air out to clean and inspect My 4yr old Lennox furnace., which they had installed. The repairman noticed that a side cover had popped out and rusted the duct next to the furnace. He claimed that carbon monoxide was leaking into the house and that my furnace needed to be replaced! The next Day I was informed that Lennox would only cover $1,000 of a new furnace and I would have to cover the remaining $1,600 due to no maintenance being done during The 4yrs. This sounded suspicious to me since just a week before a home inspector And FHA inspector had inspected the house including the furnace, the furnace had been working up until that point, and the CO detectors in the house did not activate. I then called another company for a 2nd opinion (Air First Mechanical) They came Out And found very little wrong with the furnace. They simply glued the cover back on and repaired the damaged duct. They showed me the meter reading showing no co leaking. Total cost $180. Air First Mechanical will get all my heating and air Business from now on and I will recommend them to everyone I know. Not sure why I didn't get the same service as the good reviews on this page. read more

We needed to replace the furnace in our home and had a very tight budget. Tony was extremely friendly and helpful. We got a new furnace at a great price. Also because our furnace went out over the weekend and they were coming to do the install on Monday, he let us borrow 2 infrared heaters which kept our house nice and toasty. On Monday, two guys came to put in the new furnace unit. They were right on time and couldn't have been nicer. They did a great job! I had to replace a furnace in our new house and after shopping around for estimates, Comfort Air was the best. The price is very reasonable and Tom was very knowledgeable and didn't try to sell you things that are not needed. The installation was on time and fast. We got a high-efficiency furnace and they are very helpful with the energy rebate program. They filled out the forms for us and tell us all the things we can do to maximize our rebate. Had to add my kudos about Tom. Woke up this morning to -3 degrees and no heat! Called my sister who recommended Tom as she has used him for 14 years. He answered my frantic call at 7 a.m. within 15 minutes. He was unable to come out that day as he was all booked up, but was able to give me advice over the phone and the problem was actually fixed (the batteries in the thermostat while working were not strong enough to keep the heat on for any length of time). The furnace broke down last week. The blower wasn't putting out any warm air and the area of that furnace had a horrible odor. Luckily there were some space heaters in the house and there are two other furnaces so that area stayed fairly warm till I was able to find someone to repair it. I called Comfort Air do to the great reviews on Yelp. They were very courteous on the phone and I was able to make an appointment for the following afternoon which was perfect because I had an appointment that morning. I received a call shortly before they arrived. The repairman was super and found the problem promptly. It was the motor which was replaced within the hour and was working perfectly. The cost was fair. I will use Comfort Air Heating & Cooling Inc. from now on. I'm planning to have them come back soon to clean and service all 3 furnaces and clean the duct work also.
