Came in for breakfast. Everyone recommended trying their masala bene dosae. It was the closest to the Bangalore style benne dosae. Highly recommend trying it. Also ordered chow chow bath. I feel the food is a little greasy but definitely worth it. The portions are also quite big for the dosae as well.

Came to Chutneys and had such a great experience! The food was amazing and really tasted just like home. They had a live pani puri station which was such a fun touch--the pani puri was super fresh and flavorful. The benne karam dosa was made fresh, perfectly crispy, and loaded with flavor. The schezwan fried rice had just the right kick of spice and was really satisfying. We also got a mango lassi, which was refreshing and the perfect balance of sweet and creamy. Even though it was crowded, the staff handled the lines and service very smoothly, so everything felt organized and welcoming. Overall, such a great spot for authentic food and a lively atmosphere--can't wait to come back!

Tried Come to Chutneys in Cumming and absolutely loved it! The Rava Masala Dosa was perfectly crisp with a delicious potato filling, and the Benne Dosa was excellent too -- especially with the choice of 3 different chutneys. We also ordered the Gobi Manchurian, which was honestly one of the best we've had in the area. What impressed us even more was how quick the service was despite the restaurant being very busy on a Friday evening. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for authentic South Indian dosas and flavorful food!

Amount of black peppers I have to take out from 1 vada after tolerating one vada with these in it.

The filter coffee is heavens. So good. Ask for strong coffee and add some extra sugar if needed. The best filter coffee I have tasted in a very very long time. Reminded me of Tamil Nadu filter coffee. But had a pretty bad experience with vada. It came with a 100 peppercorns. There are atleast 4 to 5 pepper corns in every bite. Next issue is chutney. They show pictures of items served in banana leafs, with 3 to 4 different kind of chutneys in it and priced the items accordingly. But what you get is a mediocre coconut chutney in a tiny cup with very oily, and sugary sambar that feels like they made it using some instant sambar mix. At least peanut chutney or ginger chutney needs to be given. Or at least 2 chutneys to be given. This is pathetic. Dont trust the pictures. Pictures promised a michellin star food but what I got was worse than carelessly made streetfood. Tried Rava dosa also. It was very thick and undigestable. I make rawa dosa at home and it is 100 times better. I wouldnt even their rawa dosa even if you pay me for it. People are friendly and ambiance is good. Wish the food is as good as what they advertized.

This place came highly recommended by my South Indian friends. We tried the Thatta idli (larger than usual idli) with ghee and a peanut crumble and the usual chutneys. My husband loved it. I had the Rava Dosa with potatoes and the chutneys, which was wonderful too. Oh yes, and the South Indian coffee. I'll say the place was clean, efficient and had a good pick up counter. The food was robust and flavorful. Ambiance was open, well lit and clean. Not disappointed.

Amazingly we were able to be seated right away outdoor at the patio. Our server came right away to get our drinks and gave us time to review the menu. Ambiance is definitely Food wise, our top to bottom rank is: - ahi tuna - grilled steak - grilled octopus (sauce is the BOMB ) - ceviche - Mac & cheese (need more umami/salt). We paired ours with octopus and steak - otherwise it is bland.

Maybe we were just extra hungry, but everything seemed to taste better than on my previous visits. Between the two locations, I definitely prefer this one. The décor feels more festive, and the atmosphere is lively. They have live music starting early in the evening and continuing until around 2 AM on weekends, making it a great place to celebrate, socialize, or enjoy a fun night out. Just know that it gets very loud, so if you're looking for a quiet, intimate dinner, this probably isn't the place. We've celebrated three or four birthdays here over the years, but this time we hosted a much larger party of about 50 people. Since it was such a big group, we had to reserve a preset menu with a deposit. It included unlimited food and drinks, and we were able to choose from several entrées while ordering as much as we wanted throughout the evening. The biggest downside was the wait. After being seated, it took about 45 minutes to an hour before the first dishes arrived. By then, a lot of us were definitely getting hangry. Thankfully, once the food started coming out, it kept flowing, and with the drinks constantly coming, everyone filled up pretty quickly. As for the food, this visit was definitely an improvement. The ceviche was fresh and flavorful, only needing a tiny pinch more of salt. The Brussels sprouts were excellent, and the calamari paired perfectly with the pico de gallo dipping sauce. The steak, however, was a little overcooked and chewy for my liking. The paella was just okay; the rice was cooked well, but the seasoning didn't quite hit the mark, and the mussels were unfortunately overcooked and dry. One thing to keep in mind is that there aren't any private event rooms. Everything takes place in the main dining area, so your party shares the space with everyone else while enjoying the live music. There's also a large outdoor patio, and sometimes they open the garage doors to blend the indoor and outdoor atmosphere, which is really nice. They didn't do that during our visit, though. Despite the lack of dedicated dancing space, we still had an amazing time. The restaurant was lively enough that our energetic group blended right in; we even got a train going through the restaurant! Overall, it was a fun celebration with great energy, good food, and an entertaining atmosphere. I'm really hoping the new Medley development near my house brings in a restaurant with this same kind of vibe. I'd definitely be a regular.

We appreciated the Reddit recommendation to try this spot in the food desert of Cumming!…read more An early Saturday dinner time allowed us to stop by their place which is located next to a local small grocery store. We were quickly seated and overall service was very friendly and accommodating. My margarita was very fresh tasting and the spicy salt rim was delicious. Next time, I will opt for the 16oz compared to the 12 Oz. Tne fresh juices were tasty as well as the flavor option such as tamarind. Chips were crisp and flaky. So much better than other similar places where the chips were inedible and so hard. We requested red salsa that was more like hot sauce. The salsa that accommodated the chips turned put to be salsa Verde and mayo, not our favorite. So when we were asked, we requested a salsa verde option which was the best choice overall. The $2+ cost for endless chips was worth it for me. Hubby requested the shrimp fajitas and I ordered the shrimp Mexicana platter. Good portion sizes even if flavors were not that complex. Homemade corn tortillas were very good. Overall, an enjoyable meal. Looking forward to our next visit!
