While the goat was bone-in, it was overwhelmingly bone rather than meat. There were five pieces total; three were mostly bone with very little meat--perhaps a single bite combined--and the remaining two were largely fat. Although the fat was rendered well, the actual goat meat was nearly nonexistent. The spice profile showed promise, but many of the whole spices used--such as bay leaves, whole peppers, and spice pods--were inedible and abundant. Accidentally biting into them made for an unpleasant experience, and avoiding them required constant effort. I understand that whole spices are traditional in Indian cooking, but the quantity and execution here detracted from the dish. Additionally, the flavor leaned quite floral, which made the overall taste a bit unusual and not especially balanced for me. I also didn't care for the raita. It was very thin and lacked the cool, creamy yogurt flavor that typically brings contrast and refreshment to biryani. Instead, it tasted more bitter and sour. That said, the restaurant was packed, and I was the only white customer there, which speaks to its authenticity and strong local following. While this meal wasn't for me, it's clearly a place many people enjoy and trust.

The karahi tasted okay, but there was barely any meat. For the price, the portion was ridiculous. The malai boti was awful. I immediately told our server that we couldn't eat it and asked if it could be replaced or if something could be done. He refused. I asked for the manager and was told there was no manager available. What really rubbed me the wrong way was the owner's response afterward. Instead of simply acknowledging that a customer had a bad experience and that their staff refused to address it, the owner wrote a long, extremely defensive essay about how 50+ people loved the dish, how popular their recipes are, their food costs, rent, employees, and how much they "care." None of that addresses what happened. I didn't ask for a lecture about the restaurant business. I asked for a manager. And saying that dozens of other people enjoyed the Malai Kebab is completely irrelevant. I was the customer sitting at your table, I didn't enjoy it, I complained about it, and your staff refused to do anything about it. If you truly "go the extra mile" for your customers, that would have been the appropriate time to demonstrate it -- not after receiving a negative review by writing paragraphs defending yourself. The food was disappointing. The customer service was worse. And the defensive response from the owner was the final reason I have no interest in returning. There are plenty of restaurants where you can spend your money and actually feel like your business is appreciated.

Food quality is great and their service, ambience is totally worth it! THE FOOD: This is one Vegetarian restaurant probably on the lines of offering some very unique dishes more specific to Tamil Nadu style at a reasonable price. Some of them seem expensive, but still would say it's really worth it. I have tried almost everything ranging from their South Indian tiffin items to Dosa to Thali to North Indian Curries and Fried rice. My best and most favorite would be their Dosa varieties. There are spicy dishes which they usually let us know ahead as we eat with Kids, and we try to avoid them. If there's a requirement for mild spice they genuinely try to honor it 10/10 times till now. They do have a very nice non alcoholic drink menu which has a lot of refreshing drinks and they are so good. The Paneer Sizzler tikka was amazing along with the Mint chutney. The North Indian curries seemed a bit on the spicy side but still good. The Maha Thali was incredibly good. It has a great variety of items and nicely presented and it varies by week. The only and the main concern I have is the Sambar. While everything here is so similar to what we get in Madras/ Tamil Nadu, Sambar is probably the only item that looks totally off. They are truly helpful especially the lady with the glasses and the guy Dhayanidhi (I guess that was his name). They sincerely consider the feedback from our end every time we go there and they are outright apologetic if they got things wrong or anything happens. Highly compassionate and friendly people working in here. BOTTOMLINE: Such a lovely Veg restaurant with enormous varieties and great quality and quantity of food at a very optimal pricing. The people were nice, but the food and the environment did not reflect any of the positive reviews. we hate to leave negative reviews, however, we felt it was important to counter the numerous positive reviews that did not reflect the current state of the cuisine.
