WOW! Internet, TV and Phone - On hold for 13 mins and than it hangs up

WOW! Internet, TV and Phone

(47 reviews)

I had another internet provider that had a cap on me and I paid extra. I changed to WOW! internet…read morebecause of that and haven't looked back. I have total of 4 people in my home and we use a LOT of internet, its nice to not have to check how much we have used or worry if I will have to pay more because one son watched a lot on netflix and the other played on his xbox online all weekend. Speeds are fast and lowest prices for internet only. A lot of people say its the internet providers fault that their speeds are slow but the more items you have hooked up to your internet the slower it will be which means you need a faster speed. Before you say "oh the internet is slow" check what you have and how you use it. If you have 30mbps internet and have two TV's, a gaming system, IPAD, and 4 phones using your internet then yes its going to be slow! You need at least 100mbps internet. Compare apples to apples not apples to oranges. Great you got a lower price from another company but I'll bet you got a slower speed also! Oh if another company tells you you're getting fiber to the door but you have to get a dish for your cable, they are most likely not telling you the truth. There's not a lot of difference between fiber to the door and fiber on the road. Educate yourself before giving bad reviews... the reason you may be having issues may be your own fault. Make sure you have the right internet speed for your house.

I was promised internet service for $75/month using my own modem and router, which I made clear…read morefrom the beginning. Despite that, WOW! sent me their equipment anyway and started charging me for it. On top of that, they added a $5 "Service Protection Plan" I never agreed to or was even told about -- and then charged me an additional $10 self-activation fee even though I installed everything myself. When I called to fix the charges, I had to repeatedly tell them to remove things I never asked for. The bill came out to $95, not the $75 I agreed to, and nothing was properly explained upfront. This feels deceptive and dishonest. Be careful -- WOW! adds extra fees without clear consent and makes it difficult to get straightforward service. I do not recommend them to anyone.

I gotta give these guys they're due. I came here trying to get a self activating kit, and as I was…read moreone of the first customers in line, I was seen immediately. Staff were excellent, getting the information they needed from me getting my equipment, and telling me what to do or who to call before sending me on my way. Guys, the entire process of setting up an account to walking out the door was less than 15 minutes! Unreal!!! The interior of the Xfinity store is really pretty. Technology from phones, to tablets to large flat screens line all the walls and rest on floor displays. People shopped, people opened accounts, people complained about bills, but for me it was an enjoyable experience. All cable sucks, and my parents have xfinity....it sucks. But so far the service here in augusta has yet to fail me. I know, give it time, but this review is being written shortly after setting things up (which also was an easy process) This store is located in a strip with shared parking. There really isn't an excuse for not finding parking here. It also helped that the apt I have is giving tenants free xfinity bundled into the rent, so free cable and WiFi is hard to beat when you combine it with great customer service. I'm not saying you should come here. I'm just saying that I came here and walked away happy, and I hope you do too!

Absolutely the worst service ever received. Employees are not helpful, arrogant, will lie or…read moredismiss your concerns and shuffle you to others who are equally stupid and dismissive. Most employees are simply there to put in required hours to get a paycheck and could care less about customers or being helpful to resolve issues or concerns.

Beware of Verizon when buying a new phone…read more My wife's iPhone 6 was recently damaged and she could no longer type the letter 'p'. It was a humorous few weeks because I told her to type an 'f' instead when texting me. Some of her texts included: - A fackage came for you. - I'll fut crab cakes on a flate and fut shimf, dif, and slaw where u can find it - I ficked up some fefsi and Dr Feffer - I'm froud of both of you - Would you like some feaches? - Haffy to hear that - Traffic fermitting And my personal favorite: - I'm flacing a Fizza Hut order. I didn't want it to be a surfrise. Anyway, back to Verizon. Today I bought a new iPhone 8 and swapped iPhone 6's with my wife. She didn't want to lose the headphone AUX jack with the new phone and I'm already using bluetooth headsets. When I got home, I received an email from Verizon thanking me for signing up for Total Mobile Protection. The person we worked with did not tell us about this. After some digging, I found out that Verizon charges $13 per month for this hardware coverage. I used the Verizon website chat to have the charge removed and was told that "insurance programs are normally added automatically for new phone purchases if you haven't declined it." Well, if it is never mentioned, it would take quite a bit of research to determine that I need to decline it. The online rep said he removed the plan and that I will not be charged. I'm definitely watching my bills to make sure I'm not charged for this. For most purchases, consumers lose money on these "consumer protection plans" and that is why companies can be sneaky about adding them to your bill. Decent companies are very transparent and ask you to opt-in. My comments above concern Verizon policy and that I was not informed of being signed-into a paid plan without my consent. Everything else about the transaction was professional.

First one was bad, so they replaced it with a refurbished Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7. It arrived days later and guess what, same problems, skipping letters, putting the letter P into words, you have to hard press to get the letter to type, and several other issues. So I contact Verizon for the third time and I was told that sure the would send me a Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra. That phone never arrived. I contact them again today and they are going to replace it with a Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 th as t (there is an example of what my phone does from just trying to type that). Anyhow I am getting a replacement with the same piece of crap phone refurbished. They tell me all about policy, yada yada. Well MY POLICY IS SIMPLE 1.) Treat a customer who has been a customer for 13 years like THEY MATTER! 2.) If a customer comes to you for a third time for the same issues, take good care of them and MAKE IT RIGHT. I certainly hope they do not send the same phone with the same problems. The customer service manager said I had no option other than to accept another REFURBISHED Galaxy Z Flip 7. Maybe it's time to see if TMobile or ATT.
