The technician used a scope to probe all the way to the street were our sewer finally emptied into the main city sewer line. The camera probe found that a break occurred in the city's connector to our private line. Finntastic Plumbing then sent photographs made my their camera probe to the city. The city of Cleburne came the same day and inspected the sewer leak at the street in front of our house. The city was convinced that the city was liable for the damages. I am so thankful for Finntastic Plumbing doing all that battling for me the customer. Bottom line, the city of Cleburne was convinced that they were at fault and they the city of Cleburne would handle the repair for the broken sewer pipe at the street. Thank you, Finntastic Plumbing! Called for a quote on getting a water line extended two feet in the wall and install an ice maker…read morebox. Additionally needed an unrelated hot water line and valve under a sink repaired. Days later they came out and insisted to go through the attic at great added expense (we did not want water lines overhead). They quoted $2500 for the fridge and $300 for the minor sink repair. Came off as trying to get one over on a disabled woman. Left the attic door down and a mess under the bathroom sink. I chose another plumber (D&J ) who charged a much more reasonable $450 for both and did the job in the wall, cleaned up after the work and was in and out in 1.5 hrs.

Decided to try Mesquite Plumbing/Mr. Rooter. We stayed home and waited for them to arrive. Late in the day they rescheduled for the next day. When they eventually arrived, the plumber looked at it and said that he would sour up an estimate. Thirty minutes later he presented the estimate for $1500 and another for $5000 to replace a non-leaking line by the street because the copper was "Green". Coincidentally, we just had that line replaced by Riddell for only $400, just 3 months ago when the city replaced our meter. I told the Mr. Rooter representative this and he told me that they do "by the Job" pricing vs. by the hour and that is why it cost so much. I paid him the $65 "service call charge" and sent him on his way. I then dug up the area around the valve and found a very small leak at one of the copper pipe junctions. Less than a half hour to fix for any decent plumber. I would literally be ashamed to operate a business in this type of predatory manner. If I didn't know something about plumbing, I would have been totally ripped off. BUYER BEWARE!
