You start playing at level 1 and work your way up through the levels. Each level unlocks rewards or swag too! I think this place is perfect for that age group but it was totally fun for us too and I would definitely visit again! The staff takes you in and tells you how to play and how to set each game up. You can play as a team for some fun teamwork games or you can play competitively against one another which is also really fun! We started off playing as a team and loved it! Playing competitively is also really fun but can be difficult for some. There are many different rooms where you can try different games. I recommend trying them all and then going back to do the ones that you liked best! My favourites were the rooms called Hide and Mega Grid. Your timer starts when you're playing and stops when you're nor playing so you can take a break to drink some water or catch your breathe. We came on a Friday evening, they are open during the day as well as late night so there are lots of options. When we got there it wasn't too busy but when we were finishing the place was filling up! If you want to avoid crowds I would try coming earlier in the day. You could even come during an extended lunch! The pasta was agnolotti with escarole and ricotta. Since we've made pasta at home many times, so we basically rocked this out! It was a filled pasta with veg and ricotta, ground chestnuts and herbs. Very veg forward but incredible flavours! We shared our pasta with some lovely young ladies who's dish didn't turn out well (not their fault). The dessert was gnocchi fritti, which is basically a zeppole. Yummy fried yeast dough sprinkled with powdered sugar. It was crispy on the outside and tender in the inside and surprisingly tender! Chef Zach is a great teacher, he had lots of good tips and kept the class moving along at a decent pace. We enjoyed some lovely red wine with our food and while we were cooking which always helps. It was a busy day in the Sorrentino's kitchen with lots of catering going on but the other chefs still had time to answer all my questions about what they were doing. There were just too many people and while we were crowded in a circle, trying to read a clue or look at something, there were always like 2 or 3 people who were standing around and not doing anything. We did not complete the room, but it wasn't because we were hurting for people, it was because we ran out of time. 45 minutes is far too short to do this, and just adding more people is not the solution. Also, I really didn't like the cheap-looking basement location. The setup reminded me of a very low-budget elementary school play. The props and clues, while creative, were very cheap and not at all convincing. I feel very ripped off since they charged each person $25 for a group of 8 for 45 minutes, and only got a cheaply-decorated room in a sketchy basement. My experience started by being shown where my assigned seating was. Next, I went to the shelf where…read morethere was a pretty decent selection of ceramic trees to choose from. I had prepaid via Eventbrite for a $50 tree. When I saw a bigger and fancier tree, I chose to upgrade to the $100 tree. I just had to pay the price difference. After this, I received a brief explanation of a couple of paint options I had to choose from and then I started painting! This wasn't set up like one large ceramic painting class. People came and went at different times. Each group that came in would get separate instructions by the staff members. This worked out because painting times definitely varied. I honestly underestimated how long it would take to paint a ceramic tree. I think I must've painted a total of 6 coats of paint. It's partly because of the paint option I chose. I required a base coat to ensure my tree would come out shiny dark green. It took me about about 3 hours to paint! I wanted to make sure all the crevices of my tree were covered. I did this activity after work on a Wednesday night. It was a fun way to unwind and chat with my friend. However, in the future, I would prefer to do this on a weekend instead. I finished painting right before the store closed around 9pm. It would've been more relaxing if I knew I didn't have to work the next day. Once I was finished, I painted my initials under the tree. I was told it would take about a week for my tree to be ready for pick up. When I was reunited with my tree, I was super happy with the result! The wiring for the light bulb was inserted. Light bulb not included. I also received a bag of multicoloured mini plastic bulbs and a plastic star topper to decorate my tree. Overall, I had a good time here! I would definitely consider coming back to paint something else. The staff were helpful and the products are good quality. I know I could've easily bought a ceramic tree instead of painting one. It might have been less expensive and definitely easier to just buy a finished tree. However, I'm proud to say that I painted my tree!

You know those silly quizzes like "which muppet would you be?" and "what superhero hero weapon…read moreshould you use?" Well it turns out if I were a Muppet I would be Fozzy Bear (yaaas!) and I don't know exactly what weapon I should use if I were a superhero, but I know it should not be a bow and arrow. My previous attempts at archery had been once as a kid at summer camp, and using my brother's nerf bow and arrow (this one from this very 90s commercial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SrJU1uQVBB0). A real legit bow and arrow never. I really sucked at archery. That's not to say I didn't enjoy myself because I did, but if the goal was to hit the target then I failed. If the goal was to hit the floor or the would work or the outside of someone else's target then watch out. Wyld Archery is located on the Yellowhead, easiest way (I found to get there) is go up on 149th, turn right on the Yellowhead and it's basically the next set of businesses on the right side on 148th street. Regular rates are about $20/day/per person which includes the lane rental and bow and arrow. It's first come first serve and if you were really hard core you could go there all day. Safety of course is important so the owner goes over with you the rules, because no one should get impaled with an arrow. He also goes over how to hold the bow and shoot the arrow, because doing it improperly you can hurt yourself or wreck the equipment. At the very beginning each in our group was assessed on which way we'd shoot. It's very strange because I'm left-handed, but apparently I shoot right (it has to do with your dominate eye). So it took a long time for me to feel coordinated. Despite my lack of skill, was a lot of fun. And the rate of $20 per day is pretty reasonable. Maybe I'll come back again and try to improve my archery skills.

With an hour or so of practice, I got better. Hit the paper target too-my OWN! I took the advice in Carley's post for first-timers about wearing a long-sleeved shirt. Good advice. No injuries were sustained, but I was a bit stiff the next day. Definitely, posture made a difference in my shot, and figuring out how to not get your bust caught in the bow. :-D Robin Hood I am not, but for my first time, pretty successful. I understand there are bows for kids available to rent, and the youngest they've had was 4. FOUR! So any age, any ability. It's a great sport to try - you might just love it as much as we did. Looking forward to coming for another visit. Closed on Wednesdays, but check for hours. Weekdays are better for fewer people and quick turns.
