Oh My GOLLYKINS did I ever have fun last night at Laser City Laser Tag! I had never played before and was totally blown away by how much fun the black light laster tag was! The staff were phenomenal and provided clear directions and explanations of the equipment and games before each game we played and were easily accessible during the laser tag games themselves. The waiting area out front has a few games, a viewing area, and a vending machine to rehydrate. There is tons of parking and the same facility also offers paintball. I really had a blast and can't wait to go back. P.S. They offer pretty fabulous birthday party packages for 8+ and have a separate and less intimidating set up for kids to have a smaller scale laser tag game for 4-8 years of age in super hero capes!

So much fun !!! We organized a Birthday Party for ten @Lazer City. Not knowing what to expect I was nervous, my fears were quickly put to rest once speaking with the desk staff. They were prompt and professional, everything organized went off without a hitch. One of their groups made last minute change making our party room available 30 minutes early, instead of letting the rooms empty we were invited to set up our crew early. Which was very appreciated! The kids had a blast, so did the adults that joined in the LT game. I would not hesitate to book here again such a great day!

We went here for a private event and I can say that it was definitely a good time. The staff were all really informative and helpful. There was one guy called Luke who was extra helpful! The only quibble I had was they didn't explain how to score points well enough for my liking. I'm a bit of a Rules Nazi, so I want to know them soo I can WIN! Also speaking of rules the fact that after you get shot, you are only "deactivated" for 3 seconds is kind of lame. You get 100 points for shooting somebody but don't lose points for being shot. Really doesn't encourage any kind of tactical play. If you shoot somebody, they should stay dead for more time than it takes to walk around the corner and shoot you back. Also I would like them to be given a slight electrical shock (heh). Location is downtown but there is free parking so yay! Prices are $159 for up to 11 people not a bad price at all. I'd recommend trying this out if you're trying to plan an activity for children but not recommend for anybody over 12. PROS Free Parking Not pricey Clean Cons Game not strategic A little boring if you're an adult.

Group event / private games - we all had a great time, even the "big kids" thought it was fantastic.

Staff were friendly and helpful. The reason that I'm not giving 5 star to them is because the venue didn't have a proper setup for work events. Projector was not bright enough. Lighting was very poor and we could not even read any of our notes. I believe this could be fixed easily if they would like to attract businesses to use this facility for their event and I hope next time I go there I see some improvements. If you go there for personal and family fun day, you'll probably enjoy your experience and will have fun! For those activities I actually recommend them! :)

My coworkers…read moreand I have come here for staff event nights twice; once for food and Lazer tag, and another time for food and bowling. It is a great place to go for a date night as well. They have pool tables, some arcade games, bowling, Lazer tag, billiards/pool, and a lounge. The lounge has events such as comedy or sports game nights, and it always ends up being a great time. Each time I have been there, the servers in the lounge have been great with checking up with you to see if they can assist with anything. Keep in mind if you want to go here with a group, it is best to book in advance, because this is a fairly busy location. That being said, each time i have gone here with one or two people, I haven't had to wait long at all. One side note; as this is a fairly busy place, the pool tables have had a lot of use and are not in the best of shape, and some are straight up in need of repair. However, if you are looking for fun, Gateway Entertainment has that for sure. As mentioned above, I have been here many times, and will most likely continue, as it is always a fun time.

Decided to tell our friends to book in the 6:30pm slot under "public" and see if we could fill a…read morewhole slot. Unfortunately, some people booked, paid and could not come. But instead of being able to remove them from the slot they stay in the slot and have to pay IF not one takes their slot (if someone takes their slot then they get reimbursed if that makes sense). SO our 6:30PM slot Looked full, but was not. Couple people did not come because of this - they Should have showed up in person and then would have taken the slot of the people who no-showed or could not come. Instead a group of randoms who just got out of their game ended up staying and make for a completely different experience. Some were not the kindest, most knew the best hiding spot and most dominated and ended up making it very difficult for the low skill level players. They picked us off in the first couple games so fast - it was not fun and a lot of us got Very frustrated. Place has a big reception area, orientation was clear and well done. Games were run well. Set-up inside the play area was okay but I wish there were more spots to crouch (1/2 size crates/barrels maybe). Games they selected based on how big our group was were good. Once you get into the play area it's 90minutes nonstop, some people worried about a bathroom break but you're so busy running that I don't believe anyone had time to even think about leaving. Just pee before your game (gender-specific multiple stalls washrooms available onsite) and you'll be good. Lockers inside the play area (secure) so feel free to bring your purse, water bottle (for After the game, no time during the game to drink), AND a change of clothes for after/the drive home. The men in our group Love Loved this and would 100% come back. Unfortunately, the girls (especially those with low skill level) did not have a good time and would be hesitant to come Unless we book a private slot. To book a private slot it's $500 so you need ~15 people to make it the same price as public. 10-20 people would be perfect as we went with ~35 people and it was too much - not enough corners for everyone to peek around and constantly running right into your own teammates when turning corners. 100% recommend for guys night/bachelor party and I do recommend booking Private slot unless you're an ace shot.

Boy have I had some adventures here! From falling down an escalator as a tot to riding the Mindbender roller coaster back when that was still a thing, showing off the amusement park to university/college students visiting our city from elsewhere or playing laser tag with the band Green Day when they came to town for Edge Fest or most recently visiting to play DDR with my partner or bringing our toddler here to ride rides... Galaxyland is a thing. It can be a place of joy or a place of sorrows... it can certainly be an expensive visit or an inexpensive one depending on how you do it, but it can clearly be a lot of fun! When I was a kid I ADORED The children's play park area. My toddler loved the ball pit when we visited as a family. The rides are a mixed bag. Currently most are themed around Hasbro properties and some aren't really suitable for adults who are exceedingly tall though the height restrictions for children are clearly noted. I have a lot of fond memories here but note that it can be really noisy and crowded so plan accordingly. It is great that in a winter city like Edmonton indoor amusement areas like this one exist, clearly!

I'm terrified of roller coasters because of the metal hitting the rails and the g-forces but I wanted to have fun. And after visiting here I think I got over that and am looking forward to amusement parks. Tip: if you are staying at the Fantasyland hotel, you can buy passes for more than half the cost. It even includes access to attractions outside the amusement park including mini golf, maze, indoor beach, aquarium, ice rink and much more. We bought the 2-day pass and it paid for itself the first day
