We came here for a little girl's birthday party. It was packed. There were a lot of people since it was on a Saturday. The arcade area was kid friendly but kind of pricey at $2-$3 for each game. I found the dark mini golf was a bit challenging for 3-4 year olds. The parents helped their kids. The staff were friendly and very good with the kids. I loved the separate party areas where you can enjoy cake and present opening with guests. I had moments where I couldn't see my son because it was so dark. My son said some of the decor was a bit too scary for him. It felt like Halloween. I could see what he meant that it would be scary for young kids. Overall, a cool place to host a party. read more

This is not the place to come if your group is more than 3. They time the groups and you are only allowed that certain amount of time. If golfers are waiting (and they will be if there are only 2 people in the behind group) they will come on to the course to tell you to play faster. If just hitting the ball to get it done is not enjoyable they will not refund your money. They offer a free pass for the next time but I will not be coming back so did not want it. read more

I love mini golf! But I don't play much except on vacation. We checked out Monster Mini Golf on a weekday afternoon shortly after they opened and there were a few groups playing but it wasn't busy and we didn't feel rushed during our visit. The guy working is probably the one running the place and he has lots of energy and makes it fun. He gave us our putters and balls and came out on the 3rd hole to give us a challenge for the next hole. He also played the Chicken dance song and those dancing got tickets to redeem for prizes. I think he gave tickets to everyone but I didn't mind doing the chicken dance! The music played during our visit was a mix of fun tunes to dance to from the 70s to 90s. He even through in a KISS song in the midst of YMCA, and Grease Lightning. The atmosphere and decor is fun and cool. Monsters, funky wall art, and props on the course to make it challenging and fun. On the score card it says 5 strokes maximum to keep the game moving, which I could see if it was busy, but we were able to play until we got the ball in the hole. The group in front of us were large and taking their time so I didn't mind playing at a leisurely pace. At the end of the game, the loser gets a card for a free game. There's a display of the toys you can get for redeeming the tickets. There's also an arcade and I'm guessing the games also spit out tickets. They have party rooms and would be great for kids' birthdays or office events too! Glad there's a great place for mini golf in Edmonton. They had a deal if you check in on Yelp and like them on Facebook, you get $2 off. Not sure if it still applies but they have a Groupon so go check it out! If you get a Groupon for 4 games and there's only 2 of you, they will give you a coupon for the other 2 games to use another time. read more

First timers usually get a free ticket to admit one for the next visit - in my case anyways. I've been here three times & it's good fun. And... You get to be a kid again!!! Yay!!! Ok, it's a place full of adults with children and definitely a great place for kids. They seem to love it here. As long as you wait till the groups in front of you have moved on to 2 holes ahead of you - you will have better fun playing golf instead of goofing around while waiting. Just be aware that some people behind you on occasion would play so damn fast that they stand around waiting for you to hit your next hole. Believe me. Relax. Don't feel rushed because if they can't wait, they can always hop themselves right to the empty space far ahead and finish up for the day. I personally get bored really fast, hence I wouldn't come back here on a regular basis but rather on an occasional basis. This place is definitely great for entertaining kids. :) read more

I can't remember having a better time at a mini golf course. Apart from the fact this place makes me feel like a kid again, I was genuinely spooked when a tree moved while passing by it. The course is challenging and fun. The monster theme is pretty amusing and would probably get a desired effect out of little kids. The final clown is pretty creepy though!!! And if you have the right people, there is a ton of merriment to be experience. $11 per person is what we paid. Got about an hour out of it. Definitely don't think I could do this more than once every 6 months. However, I think it is an awesome date spot! Just be sure you don't whack the ball hard enough to cause injury to anybody ;) No full body contact, play safe! There is also a small arcade inside which could be old school fun! read more

Compared to the other mini golf options in Edmonton, this place is awesome! Personally I prefer outdoor courses that have more obstacles and moving parts (ie. windmills and traps and such) but since we have long winters I accept the fact that most activities take place inside. Monster Mini Golf is really well decorated and neon-ed out. The course is average, but I'm sure for a group of kids it's great- from what I see they are almost always more interested in the visuals and "stuff" rather than the actual game of golf. They have a DJ that engages everyone while they play by holding dance contests and hands out prizes and things. I had a chance to look at their birthday/party rooms and they are really cool and stay true to the monster neon theme. Definitely a great place for a kid to have their birthday or a smaller company party. There is also a small arcade area, but I think for the price of playing you are better off going to Chuck E Cheese down the road. My boyfriend wanted to do something fun earlier this week so we went to Monster Mini Golf. I've played miniature golf outside before but I never liked playing it in the hot sun. Playing indoors was pretty cool because almost everything- monster themed- glowed under a black light. I believe there were 18 or 19 holes. There was decent early 1990s music being played too. I was having fun until I realized there was a group that had caught up to us and soon we had even caught up with another group. Having to wait a while to take our turns took some of the fun out of it, but I guess it gets busy on Sundays. Still, Monster Mini Golf is fun! The staff was pleasant and up beat. I can remember when this place first opened I thought it was Kiss themed and as much as I enjoyed the thought of launching projectiles at Gene Simmons face taking a pass on the experience. Months later my cousin dragged me down there for a girls day out and I was pleasantly surprised with the experience. First off I have to say the staff here is really great! I am guilty of thinking like alot of people from time to time that any place where the staff is primarily composed of teenagers is destined to offer bad customer service but the folks here were super friendly and enthusiastically engaged with everybody that came through the door. The course looks great with lots of fun "hazards" and moving characters. While it is a monster themed experience I didn't notice anything that was truly frightening or gory that would make me think it would be inappropriate for little ones. They do play music as well and while I did enjoy the background noise I did find it to be a little loud which made it difficult to talk to my cousin. Once your done golfing they also do have a little gaming area where you can play for tickets that you can redeem for prizes if you are not quite ready to go home yet. On our way out the door my cousin got a coupon for a free game of golf not because she won but because I beat her so badly. Such a unique and fun venue to play some mini golf! The staff is very friendly and helpful. They're even dressed up in costume to match the monster theme. Decorations in the building are "spooky" without being too scary or weird for little kids. They've got an arcade to play in while you wait to get golfing, as well as prizes you can collect tickets to win. The course is made up of 18 holes, each with varying levels of difficulty and obstacle blocking your way. The staff will occasionally call out challenges for you to do while golfing, like swinging the club between your knees (granny style!) or behind your back. Tons of fun! Things usually move along pretty smoothl. There are certain holes that bottleneck up so don't be surprised if you have to wait a little while to get onto the next hole. Luckily the music is awesome so you can jam along while you wait. The mini golf is also super affordable! I think I paid $25 for 4 games (groupon!). They also hand out free play vouchers to the loser, which is the cherry on top! read more

Took our Venturer Scout group for mini golf a couple of days ago. The youth had a great time, and the staff were very accommodating of our needs. We requested the use of their party room to have a planning meeting after we finished our golfing, and the manager was great...allowed access to the room, even brought us water. It was greatly appreciated, as we had not booked the room (we didn't know how long it would take our group to move through the golf course, as there were 7 of us). Wonderful experience, and we will definitely return. I love playing with neon balls in the dark. After having such a good time at the KISS-themed Monster Mini Golf in Vegas, my wife and I decided to check out the Monster Mini Golf establishment in Edmonton. It was hard getting used to the disco music blaring in the background, which the DJ here seems to like, as opposed to KISS tunes. I don't know what '70s disco has to do with monsters in the dark, other than the fact that they're equally creepy and scary, but that's what goes here. It's 18 holes of glow-in-the-dark, monster-themed obstacles that's equal parts challenging and annoying. The holes are kind of close together so it's best to leave two or three holes between yourself and the players in front of you. I always seem to end up with the slowest team alive in front of me whenever I play mini-golf. There is one other review here that seems to have been written for the express purpose of defending the honour of those who like to loaf and laze about the course with complete disrespect to other paying customers who would like to finish their game sometime this century. It's not an option to walk past the team in front of you if they're going too slow. If I paid for 18 holes - I'm playing 18 holes. If you play at a snail's pace - install a course in your living room. The DJ/host/cashier guy occasionally likes to appear on the course out of thin air in a puff of ninja smoke to issue challenges to the players. (To all the soccer moms planning their kid's birthday party: I'm speaking figuratively here - don't show up expecting literal ninja smoke) He challenged me to make my shot with my eyes closed. He either felt sorry for me for missing miserably or he just wanted to reward me for being a good sport because he gave me prize vouchers. (I still have to redeem those for something.) As in Vegas, the loser (me) gets a voucher to play for free upon your next visit. Is it just me, or does the giant clown head at the 18th hole resemble Heath Ledger? read more

When it comes to mini golf, Monster Mini Golf pulls out all the stops! It's a challenging yet fun course that suits all ages, and doesn't get boring after one round, so you'll be back. First off, there has been a Groupon out for a while, so definitely get some discounts, as it's usually $13 per adult. Even with our Groupon, we still got a one round free coupon at the end of our game, so more discounts to be had. Check their website for other specials (I believe they have a Ladies night). The course was all-around awesome. It is glow in the dark which is pretty cool to begin with, and decorated with (not so) scary "monsters" and a graveyard theme all around. For those of us older folk, there are throwback references (Family Ties with a monster Michael J Fox) and lots of trivia questions. There were so many details on the course I missed that I'm glad our Groupon is multi visit, because I need to take another look at everything! The course is challenging and varied too, with lots of different obstacles. And one hole even has fun challenges (e.g. one handed putt) to complete. Customer service was great too, I've never seen someone so enthused to be working at mini golf! They also have a mini arcade there and a party room. Kids under a certain height (around hip height or so - I think mostly toddlers, there is a measuring board there) are free, so I can't wait to bring my toddler (on off hours, don't worry) to "play"! read more

Really shocked at the number of 5/4 star reviews. Visited for a birthday party, and very glad it was not my child's party (even though she had fun). The party host was extremely disorganized and the timing was all over the place. The kids were told they had to wait IN the birthday party room until their turn for mini golf. They did not receive their $2.00 game cards, and were not allowed out of the room to play games. The couple of games played with the kids were disorganized and not age appropriate. 15 minutes of waiting, it was finally our turn for mini golf, only to be told after 3 holes that we needed to skip ahead 6 holes because of bottle necking. So our group was not allowed to play all 18 holes. I thought this was a neat idea for a birthday party, but certainly glad that we attended one before booking one. This is a really cool mini golf place :) They had a blacklit course with some cool animatronics and props... the course had a few holes that were actually pretty challenging and with the odd fun, different twist here & there. There's also a pretty decent arcade there as well, though we didn't play there this time- but it had a lot of classic games like skeeball, shooter games, air hockey, and that kind of thing. We happened to run into a magician that was going to be performing at an even there later, and he ran a few tricks by us, which was pretty fun :) The staff there were really friendly as well. Monster mini golf is one of the coolest, most interactive mini golfs that I have ever been to. The music is bumpin and there is a love DJ on site. The DJ is super fun and keeps players entertained by hosting games and challenges. The course is not too hard but not too easy so it is fun for all ages. My husband and I took our 2 boys here to play mini golf. One is 4 and the other is 6 weeks. I can not tell you enough how satisfied I was with the customer service I received from Veronika. My 6 week old decided he needed to eat as my 4 year old was playing the games. I asked Veronika if there was a chair I could sit in as my 6 week old is breastfed. She not only took me to one of the party rooms which has a comfortable couch to feed him on but also turned up the lights to make it easier to see and let me know I could take as long as I needed and that there was no rush. My boyfriend loves mini golf. So when this places opened we couldn't wait to try and since its been a regular date night hangout for us. It's always clean, staff are energetic and helpful, and the vibe is a lot of fun. The course is great. It's not so easy that it gets boring for adults but not so hard that kids have an impossible time. The little pieces around the course move so every time we go in it changes and has new challenges. The staff will also come around during your play and set a challenge for you to win extra prize tickets. We've never had a bad time here and if you haven't tried it yet I recommend making this your next date night stop. read more

Hi my name is Debby Crouter. My family & I attended Edmonton's Monster Mini golf. Today, because it was my grandson Bday party.( There was 28-30 people). Within minutes we realized the facility was associated to KISS. My g-daughter & myself are Hugh KISS fans. Our experience while we were there was awesome the staff looked after our party, & all the children in our party extremely well. Plus made the Bday boy feel special!! The staff interact with the children in the party room & while they were playing golf. They took can of us from start until from the start until the end of our party time was over. We love the consept of Monster Mini golf, & because we had such a wonderful experience. We will be back... We have 5 other grandchildren. I also will refer you to others. Other places that we used, such as Chuchie-Cheese, Glaxeland, Neon Bowling... Etc.etc. We won't be going back to them !!! My husband bought the 4 KISS figures for my. Love them.
