    chicken wings
    Thu P.

Tried their bo luc lac and fried chicken wings with nuoc mam flavouring. I also sipped a little bit of my partner's short rib pho. It was pretty good here, but I can't say it's worth the up charge. This is one of the most expensive Vietnamese restaurants I've been to, and it's definitely not in my top three. The fried chicken wings were a little too salty, but really good. Very crispy and juicy. My bo luc lac was good as well. The cherry tomatoes were a nice addition, the onions weren't too raw, and the meat was tender and yummy. There wasn't enough sauce though as there was a lot of rice and it was very plain because they don't give nuoc mam. They gave some kind of salt nuoc mam dip instead, which I didn't like too much. The pho soup was pretty good -- rich with some depth. A little too salty. Service was very slow despite the restaurant being pretty empty. The servers were busy doing things around the restaurant and it felt hard to catch their attention. The restaurant itself feels very modern. It's very clean inside.

Decided to go to CoM Vietnamese because my friends and I wanted a nicer pho/Vietnamese food place that was not a quick in and out (e.g., Thai Son, Lotus, etc.). There's free parking for 2 hours in the back parking lot. We went on a Sunday night and there were only a few tables besides us. Restaurant was spacious and overall quiet and servers allowed us to sit for quite a long time (provided that we did order a lot of food haha!). We each ordered one of their noodles and shared their chicken wings. Their chicken wings are actually really really good. I would compare it (almost) to Phnom Penh's wings - the perfect balance of crispy and juicy meat! We actually ordered 2 rounds of this (one each of the chili fish sauce and butter garlic) because it was so good! For noodles, I decided to get the Hu Tieu as it isn't commonly available at other Pho restaurants. I think it was just okay - portions are quite large but you are paying over $20 for a bowl. Found it slightly bland and the sliced pork belly wasn't all that tender. It's a pricy restaurant for what you get but the atmosphere is much more relaxing and laid-back than other conventional pho restaurants. I think they market to a higher-end audience but the quality of the noodles are lacking in my opinion. I would definitely come back for their chicken wings though!

This Vietnamese restaurant has lush interior, high ceiling throughout. Space is nice decorated. Parking is in an adjacent building. We walked in on a Saturday evening and we're seated right away. Staff was friendly and attentive. *Chicken Wings (caramelized chili fish sauce): so crunchy, taste of fish sauce is very distinct. I could have this as for main dish. Love it! *Bún Bò Hûe: soup was rich and delicious although portion was small. *Tô Tô Special: this dish of grilled meats (pork belly, beef & chicken) is marinated perfectly! *Crispy Yellow Croaker with Mango Salad: this new item on the menu is worth trying. Fish is fried so crispy to the bones. My only comment is that sauce was poured on the plate and made this dish a bit too salty to eat. I'd prefer it served on the side. Mango Salad was a perfect compliment to the fried fish. Will definitely come back. Dishes are done more sophisticated. There's more Vietnamese dishes other than spring rolls and pho noodle soup!

Interesting Vietnamese Japanese fusion restaurant. Friendly female server food quality not bad. Modern setting parking pathway to restaurant a little confusing that's all. Christmas tree made the interior space a little crowded but overall decent place; will consider returning if in the area..

Took my sister (and mom) here because she's been wanting to try it for the longest time and I highly recommended it! The food was delicious as always, service was good and food arrived pretty quick. She loved the atmosphere and decor of the place. It was my first time trying to Papaya Salad and Vermicelli Bowl Special and they did not disappoint. My mom was a fan of all the dishes, especially the Pho Saigon! Would recommend anyone to come here to try this place out. :)

Really nicely setup with extremely high ceilings and a lush interior, not like your standard Vietnamese hole in the wall. I saw that they had a sizeable vegetarian section menu, which is what brought me in. They have a pho chay (veggie pho; $18.50 plus tax), so I gave that a try. My soup came out in about 10 minutes. The soup came with tofu sheet, fried tofu skin, veggies (broccoli, green cabbage, carrot, white mushrooms), and noodles in a gentle mushroom breath. The broth was pleasant, not that rich, but not water or boring. It was amplified nicely by their homemade chili oil. Everything was very tasty without being amazing, though I did really like the tofu varieties in here. Good, friendly service. $18.50 makes this one of the priciest veggie pho in Greater Van, so I can't say it's good value for money. But at least the quality is good. Recommended if you're nearby.

This is a fancy Vietnamese restaurant. It's really hard to find parking here as the street parking is reserved for permit. There is a small parking lot available. The food was delicious but portions were too small for the price. The service was ok. They don't accept credit cards. Unless if you want to pay a fee. I would only come here for special occasions.

Couldn't say no to Vietnamese food and COM didn't disappoint! Came in and got seated right away and the friendliest service. We ordered the bahn xeo (Vietnamese crepe with some bean sprouts and other veggies with fish sauce and lettuce on the side to wrap) and the bo luc lac (marinated beef cubes with rice and lettuce on the side). Both super flavorful and very generous portions. The bahn xeo was very very crispy and easy to eat. It could get a little messy with the lettuce wrap but it was so worth it!! Must try!!! On to other adventures!! Cheers!

I know she was doubting the authenticity at this place, but it absolutely blew me away-and I'm Asian. I ordered a bit off menu with the beef pho with a lemongrass broth and thicker noodles. We ordered three plates of the spring rolls and they were some of the best springs I've ever had in my entire life. They're crispy and not mushy inside, paired with the hoisin sauce absolutely delicious!! The persons are absolutely massive, so you're probably gonna end up taking something home, in which they will charge $.50 for a takeout container, but it is definitely worth it. I would genuinely come back if I can and I'll be forever thinking about this place. The Trung special soup was one of their specials, and it has a uniquely smoky flavor, which gave a lot of depth to the broth. The lemongrass chicken vermicelli plate was also delicious, it did need a little bit of hoisin and spice seasoning to lighten it up, but a very delicious meal with the pickled vegetables.

We got the chao tom (shrimp paste on sugarcane skewers) and the bun cha ca (fish cake noodle soup). Service was quite fast and we got our food shortly after ordering. The chao tom was served over a bed of vermicelli salad which was really nice as we were expecting just the skewers. When you bite into the skewer, it release a bit of sweet acidic flavour as it's made from sugar cane. I am so glad I tried this and will definitely be ordering it again in the future! The bun cha ca had an interesting taste and while I wasn't a big fan of it (there was a very strong dill taste), the portion was really big and I was happy with the experience of trying it. Overall, Pho 37 consistently impresses me with their food and I understand why they're always busy with customers!

The broth is so flavorful and the beef is always fall-off-the-bone tender. Just a heads up, they do run out of the ribs so try to get here early if you would like to try it. The last couple of times we've come, the beef ribs were a bit smaller than they used to be, but they were awesome about making up for it. Last visit they threw in an extra rib, and today they gave us this massive extra bone loaded with tendon. I loved it. My wife was too shy to use her hands to eat it, so hey, bonus piece for me! Aside from the food, the service here is amazing. Everyone is super attentive and friendly. The vibe is really comforting to, it's way more spacious than your typical cramped pho restaurant. Parking is free during lunch, but you have to register your car if you're here after 6pm. It's cash or debit only.
