Thermostat was only a year old, but how can you prove it worked, you have to trust the technician especially when there's no air conditioning and you just want it running. While out checking the unit he noticed a corner bent and started telling her a stupid scenario of a dog rubbing up on the unit and peed all over it and to get it cleaned out it would be somewhere over $1,000. Come on, what lengths of lies you sales people go to. I told her to stay away from you guys and would recommend someone else. I would not recommend Anderson at all. It's hard to find honest heating and cooling technicians. Anderson is not one of them.

Daniel the service technician opened the unit up and tested everything. He took the time to explain what he was doing and why. He discovered a bare wire that had been chewed (possibly by a mouse) and was touching the metal housing which tripped the circuit breaker. Daniel replaced the wire and the unit is working perfectly. The honesty and integrity of this company is refreshing. We will not hesitate to use them again and recommend them to all our friends.

I was told the diagnostic would cost $149. I asked to be informed of any repairs that had to be done. Technician checked the system and recommended replacing unit. We discussed replacement unit and cost. I was ready to pay deposit. In the next 10 minutes I was told that the model I selected is old and not available. New model costs $1000 more. I asked for a proposal to decide later. Technician told me that the visit costs $396. He said that he fixed air conditioner that was not working. He never told me that he is fixing anything. Through our the visit it looked like he was figuring out the problem. I talked to the owner and we agreed that any repairs that were done will be undone so that I do not have to pay for repairs. Then the technician removed all the wires from the board making both heat and fan unusable. He did not just undo the "repairs", but made entire system unusable including fan and heat which were working before his visit. See the photos to show what was done!

Tried to tune the furnace anyway to accommodate it, which was actually kind of fun to watch all the different ways it could be done. No other HVAC technician I've ever worked with before has done that. A/C maintenance went great too. First company I've ever hired that didn't try to sell me an entirely new unit just due to a faulty capacitor. Even gave me the model number of the capacitor to replace if I want to save money and do it myself (I'm reasonably handy so it's something I'd probably do). I'll be using them for as long as they give great service!

AC died in the middle of the night. They came out the next morning and said my unit was too old…read morerepair (just over 20 years old), while ripping out something from the power box and seemingly breaking a component in there. They said they could try to do a repair for about $1.3k but that they couldn't guarantee the repair would be effective because of the condenser. They then tried to sell me on their highest end heat-pump for about $24k, which was too much for our needs, since our furnace was also functional. We ended up choosing a basic AC replacement for around $9k. They were able to install the new unit two days later. However, on the day of the install, they saw some surface level rust on the furnace heat exchanger and tried to get me to replace it for an additional $4k. When I said no, they backed off and recommended a CO alarm (which we already have). It felt like I was being heavily taken advantage of because I was in a dire situation. The installation went fine, but my experience of being pressured and hard sold to during the process made it feel like I was being milked for every penny they could get out of me. Take this as a precaution to check your HVAC AC/furnace/heat pump regularly, and get multiple quotes before deciding on work. If you go with this company, they will seemingly do an effective job, but they will try their best to get as much money out of you as possible.

We purchased two new Trane furnaces and AC units. They showed up on time and we're easy to work with. Because we switched to a high efficient furnace, We had to have an exhaust vent added to our roof. Most other installers told us they couldn't do it, or that we would have to find a roofer to cut the roof for the vent install. Maxson was able to have their roofer take care of that part of the project, which saved us time and headaches. The roofers schedule changed last minute at one point, but we were able to get it scheduled and finished in a reasonable timeframe. Everything is working great. Very good experience overall!

Our realtor, Sharon, suggested Maxson Air Conditioning and Heating. She had great work done for her and several clients. Got a call from Steve, the owner, setup a diagnosis. They use Trane products. They gave me four options, a 96,000 btu for $9,700, a 80,000 btu 2 stage for $8,500, and finally a unit similar to my mothers Carrier for $7,200. House is a single floor ranch and we will probably sell the home in the next 2-4 years. Steve, the owner, called me up, we talked about the quotes, then he suggested, if I were you,,, I would go with the 80,000 btu, single stage for $7200. It produces the same results as our current Carrier, which has taken care of the heating and cooling in my mothers house for 18 years. I was pleased someone who give an honest evaluation and recommending the lower options regarding our immediate future of owning the home. With the install they put a new pad with extra gravel for outside condenser of AC, new humidifier, condensation pump, and offered a free thermostat. 10 years parts and 5 years labor. Other company only offered one year any labor needed. Signed up for a once a year maintenance program. Alex and Scott delivered and installed the product on Friday, they were very professional, very polite and conscientious. Install took about nine hours including cleanup, going over the bill and their lunch break. We were more than pleased. My brother, who is the POA, viewed the furnace the next day and gave me a huge thumbs up. My realtor Sharon Nolan was very glad to offer a trusted client, and will refer others to Maxson. The people that came out from Chappel were Philip who is the owner and Alex, (technician), and Brad ,(Certified Spacepak Technician). I had Chappel out last Thursday and Friday and today. The Owner, Brad, and Alex all were great people and all of them did an excellent job! My Spacepak was reinstalled correctly, The return was installed to a larger and correct size, 4 new supplies were installed, 2 new refridgerant lines were added and repaired. The first contractor who I hired to originally install the new Spacepak didn't do any of the things that Spacepak requires. Brad, Alex, and Philip did a great job and I would highly recommend Chappell Heating and Colling for any HVAC work and specifically for Spacepak work! Great Job everyone!
