Good coffee shop in downtown Kalispell. Friendly employees running the front. They make an effort to get to know the locals and are friendly with the tourists too. They had a barista in training so I didn't get the latte art and the side of the cup was a little smudged/dirty. The mocha was still pretty good though. It's a pretty chill place. It's quiet enough to get some work done. Most people seemed to get their coffee to go but they still had tables towards the back of the shop for customers. read more

I was a first time, paying customer at Colter Coffee on June 13th, 2023 having sat and worked in the dining area for 2-2.5 hours I then went to the salon upstairs having moved the vehicle I was driving from 2hr street parking to an available spot in the lot of Colter Coffee & the salon upstairs While upstairs, the owner of Colter Coffee, Stacy proceeded to come in asking who was parked in the first spot closest to Main St, which I was She proceeded to make a scene and embarrass me, the one who parked there, stating that since I was no longer in her business & therefore "technically not a Colter Coffee customer" that I should not be parked there She also proceeded to say that they were turning that space into a short term parking online order pick-up spot However, the spot I was parked in has ZERO signage assigning it to Colter Coffee or any other specific business in that area The way she came in and addressed this matter, in front of another's business clients and employees alike was completely unprofessional and disrespectful Her "beef" about the parking matter should have been discussed privately between her and the owner of the business upstairs, NOT in the middle of and interrupting three other business owners with their clients environment This review is not a reflection of the kind, professional and helpful baristas that were working on the day I was there I WILL NOT purchase product from or use Colter Coffee ever again based on the blatant disrespect of someone who was a paying customer of her shop I likewise would NOT RECOMMEND Colter Coffee to anyone living in or visiting the area Should she want to be a business owner, she needs to learn to be more tactful, respectful and responsible in her communication abilities read more

This is a very comfortable laid back place. It seems mostly it attracts the local community of Kalispell. I had the brew coffee and a chocolate crossiant which was delicious in the morning. We had different drinks over 4 days, with different milks as well, (espresso, cortado, cappuccino, whole milk, oat milk, etc) and they consistently put a good product out. They know how to pull an espresso shot and do a great job with steaming milk, foam, micro foam, etc. we did not get any food but I heard they get their products from the bakery across the street which looked delicious. read more

It's full of light and exposed brick and high tables and big windows. A room in the back has couches and a coffee table, and the downstairs is a great place for larger gatherings with more of a living room setup. They also feature local art that they rotate out every month or so, and I'm always entertained by it. They keep it interesting - sketches, photography, textiles, poetry, or paintings. Where do they find these baristas??? They are quite possibly the chillest people on the planet. They greet you warmly and play good music and remember your name and are latte WIZARDS. The coffee is excellent, all organic and fair trade certified. Though they're mostly a coffee shop, they do sell a small yet delightful selection of croissants, breads, quiche, etc. 14/10. This place is so fabulous and chill. Their customer service is awesome, and their coffee is always great! I typically drink black coffee or regular, non-flavored lattes. Their lattes are 9/10 and their black brewed/drip coffee is a 7/10. I noticed that they do pour over coffee now which is my favorite way to have black coffee! They do a good job with the pour overs but I feel like there's a little room for improvement. I'd rate their pour overs as a 8/10. That will not stop me from coming here though! The roast on my coffee and the overall flavor was solid. The seating seemed varied, which would be nice if you want to hang out and enjoy your beverage.
