I had a great experience and highly recommend Colorado Auto Body. ~3 weeks ago, an Uber Driver hit my car while it was parked on my street. Long story short, Uber took forever to respond to my damage claim against their driver. Uber and their insurance provider initially gave me the run-around and so I wasn't sure if they'd cover the damage. As a precaution, I called my car insurance company and asked for a list of their preferred repair shops. That's how I found Colorado Auto Body! I was able to schedule an appointment and drop-off my car within a couple of days. While my car was being repaired, Rich called and provided proactive updates regarding Colorado Auto Body's progress. Within a few business days, my car was ready to be picked up! Everyone at the shop was friendly, professional, and my car looks great! read more

I came here as this place was approved by my insurance company and needed a new bumper following an accident. At the check-in they said this should take no more than two weeks. For the first two buisness days my car just there without being checked at all. They then ordered cheaper parts that didn't work for my car to try and save money at the request of the insurance company, this delayed the fix by another week (I would've expected them to know in advance that the parts won't work and not waste this time). Then they did order the correct parts but due to some mix-up something didn't came and that delayed for another week. Throughout these 4 weeks, I had to chase them for updates. Overall, I don't recommend coming here. read more

I had to get auto body repair work again on a new car, unfortunately, when my SUV got keyed at work. I was impressed the first time, I am impressed again. From start to finish, from the reception and inspector to the auto body repair people, this place is top notch. They are professional, fast, and my vehicle is freshly washed and looks like a million bucks when I pick it up. I also had a very challenging experience working with this shop. It was a really simple job (minor parking lot collision). No accountability at all here. * Vehicle needed to be sent back 3 times. They did not follow agreed upon scope of work. Missed some items and others done incorrectly. * Painted bumper the wrong color. We agreed to keep it, but then they changed it to an entirely different color when reworking other items. Had to bring it back for rework. * They tried to pin blame on an outgoing colleague, but challenges remained after that person had left. * Our reverse light, which was outside the scope of work, came back inoperable and they didn't mention to us when we picked it up (no quality check). They described a damaged/rusted harness (fair enough), but they tried to force it on and damaged the light itself (female adapter). I sourced the replacement myself but they wanted to charge to install it even though it was working when I gave it to them. * Agreed how to approach mirror replacement, but they did something different. * We agreed to pay for some work out of pocket. They didn't do it and we needed to return the vehicle. When picking up the car our 3rd and final time, we were told we did not owe a balance (nice gesture). But we received a call back a few weeks later where they wanted to collect. Another miscommunication. Summarized the experience well. * We are 4.1 miles away and just slightly outside their drop off service. They declined each request for a ride despite asking us to bring back the car multiple times. Spent a lot on Uber. The interactions weren't all bad, but the people I dealt with just weren't empowered to to the right things, and their trades were not as sharp as what you would want in a body shop. I have continually had to push them and the insurance company to move forward. Its gonna be done on this day and then its not . Them on the day I'm supposed to pick it up, i get attitude and told i better call my insurance company . No one knows anything unless its in the "notes". Months go by and i font have my car. I damaged the read bumper on my car while backing out of a parking spot, so I got referred to Colorado Autobody by a very good friend. The service was top notch, Jime was responding to my emails on a Sunday 8:30pm, i didn't even expect to hear from him until the next day. I received a quote from him in less than 24 hours. The work and the service I receive far exceeds what I've seen at the dealerships. I got my car back within 2 hours all fixed up and looking brand new! I'm a bit surprised at the inconsistency of the reviews about this place so I will try to be detailed with my particular situation because I had a great experience with them. It was a body shop recommended to us by our insurance company. Our car was broken into and police brought it to an impound lot. Colorado Auto Body updated us with everything from when our vehicle made it to their shop, the cost estimate, to when the vehicle would be ready. It ended up needing a new window, center console, and lock mechanism on one of the doors. The primary person we were in contact with the whole time was Christine Poggi. She answered all of our questions promptly and addressed any concerns we had. When we got our car back it had been washed and detailed. The seats had been taken out so they could ensure they got rid of all the glass. Our '98 vehicle looked brand new. I did notice that our interior dome light wasn't working when I got home. When I called they just had me come back and they addressed it immediately. I honestly could not have asked for a smoother or less stressful experience. They do seem to be a very busy shop so I would recommend setting up appointments when available and exercise some patience. I chose this company because of their Facebook ad saying that they were family owned in been around forever when I got there they immediately took my car in and gave an estimate to my insurance company that was way too high. When I went to pick up the vehicle they charged me for everything from a gate fee to storage fee and way overpriced on labor hours to tear down my vehicle I do not recommend this company as they are trying to nickel and dime you for everything why should I have to pay for a gate fee of $65 and an administration fee of $125 plus five hours to tear down my bumper and fender which I could've done in an hour! 740.00 what a rip off never go there again read more

My car looks like new again! Also I was hit by someone with Fred Loya insurance, which many autobody shops refuse to work with due to its supposedly poor reputation. However, CAB does work with them and I had no problem getting my car repaired within 2 weeks of drop off. Loya seemed to have taken care of business pretty promptly with me and CAB too. Nobody else in town was able to repair it within that time period, and many of them are just needlessly difficult to deal with. Another auto shop I was about to use couldn't touch my car for 6 weeks after an estimate- That's far too long of a wait and just not acceptable. Kudos to Christine who has been awesome at communication and service. read more

The unfortunate part: We've had a couple instances (hail and fender bender) that have required body work. The fortunate part: My father-in-law found this place for us and Ken has been our customer service representative. These guys have done some great work. The car looked like new after both the hail fix and fender bender repairs. They also washed the car and cleaned the inside both times! The hail repair took a while, though that's because so many people got hit (every place was busy). The other work was done far quicker than we expected. Ken is always courteous and understanding, having genuine concern for us after our fender bender. He's also been great working with our insurance company. Both times we had a mix-up with the check (one was made out to our leasing dealer, the other got delayed in the mail), and both times Ken got a hold of the insurance company and took care of it. He definitely strives to make the process as stress-free as possible. Hopefully we won't have any more body repairs needed, but if we do, we know who to call. read more

The shop has had my car almost a month now . Every time I call to check the progress I get a story it's almost done and the next week something that wasn't disclosed the call before hand is needed! Every time there is a set back or back order that prevents the car from being ready when the predicted there is no communication to keep the customer informed!!! This is my second repair at Colorado Auto Body and they continue to do a great job. It takes a while to get in for service because they are that busy, but once you get an appointment set things go very smoothly and they'll take care of everything with the insurance company. On this repair, someone backed into my brand new car (just 4 months) and busted up the grill and put a dent in my hood. I had an estimate done and it was to take 4 days. Once they got the car apart, they discovered additional extensive damage to the bumper and associated parts. Rather than take the cheap way out and just replace what could be seen, they took the extra time to repair and replace ALL the damage so the car really was restored to full and safe operation. A lot of shops would have done just the cosmetic part and left me with an unsafe car. Not Colorado Auto Body. It did take an extra week, but the car came back just as good as new and it looked fantastic. You would not have been able to tell there was ever any damage if you didn't know beforehand. The paint job was perfectly matched and the bodywork was perfect. The shop kept in constant contact and kept me informed as the repair progressed. You can find cheaper and faster shops, but you won't find a higher quality one. Trust in Colorado Auto Body to do the job right! Took my 98 Yukon in for a complete restore on the entire vehicle. I was paying out of my own pocket (not an insurance deal) and they were very conscientious of the fact that I had a budget. They were great as far as trying to get after market parts and save me the money if that's what I wanted. I have to say, they are very picky about thier work like any body shop should be! They took thier time on it, but the end result looks beautiful! Would definitely recommend! They were one of the most reasonable quotes I recieved and i think they did just as good a job if not better than the other shops which were almost 30% more expensive and unwilling to try and keep it reasonable. read more

I first became a customer of this shop when I was hit by another driver on my passenger side of my truck. The first impression was great Matt gave me an estimate for repairs and it seemed a little high but I chose it above the rest because of the reviews and comments about the shop. Sadly this is where it turned to the worse, Matt was let go for reasons unknown, I came in to drop off the truck and I reviewed the repairs with the new advisor. After about a week and a half the truck was ready to pick up, a new advisor Jason was now in charge of my truck. I was told by Jason the truck was ready to pick up, so I headed right over, I met with Jason and was told the truck would be right out they noticed it was a little dirty and wanted to clean it up, an hour and a half goes by and come to find out the door wasn't even on my truck when I got there, so I sat waiting for my truck to be "cleaned" and it finally shows up. I go out to my truck to find a guy jump starting my truck, seems I was told the door was off the truck and the battery needed a good charge, assured by Jason that after driving a few miles it should be fine. I get into the truck to find a nice white dust all over the truck and having to pick my wife up from work I was kind of in a hurry, so I let it slide, my truck started to run weird the truck was idling at 500rpms and struggling to stay running, so I called the shop. They had me return the truck to fix the problem and investigate, I was left without a rental car for a week, costing me work and the ability to perform my daily tasks. My truck was finally returned to me and I was told by Jason my battery was old and I needed to replace it. I accepted it and just bought a battery even though it was running fine when dropped off for repairs. I noticed that the emblems were not on my truck and that there was some defects in the paint, I addressed this with Jason and was told "I was supposed to put them on" lol first of all I am paying you to repair my truck why would I install my own emblems? But then was told later that it's because they were plasti dipped that I was supposed to plasti dip the new ones (new ones were never supplied but were billed to the insurance company). There are about 7 total excuses that circulate the blame about the emblems. Jason said he would get the truck in and get it fixed after getting approval from the owner. Two weeks later nothing Jason broke his phone 3 times during all of this and that was his excuse as to why I wasn't being contacted, I'm pretty sure my phone number is on file and they have land lines there?? Jason likes to point out that he was a fellow marine and we look out for each other, however he failed me misserably, we may be brothers in the corps but I retain my integrity. Tired of all the bs excuses I called and talked to Eddie the shop manager, I came in to address the repairs, pointed them all out and was told they would contact the insurance company to get a repair approval and contact me in a week, I explained how Jason basically failed to communicate and dropped the ball completely and told them above all else I value communication, I was assured I would hear from them within a week. Fast forward two weeks and I am calling again, and was told they overlooked the situation and haven't heard back from the insurance company, at this point I felt like I was ignored and neglected, so I asked to talk to the owner or someone higher up. I spoke with Erik the general manager he assured me that he would resolve all issues and fix the problem to give them one more chance, so I agreed. Today I picked up the Tundra after 2 months of back n fourth and I still have dirt in the paint. I got told by Eddie that the dirt wasn't the main concern, but it's their paint!!!! Yet earlier when I addressed them with him he said it would be fixed. Sadly I'll never go to this place again nor will I ever recommend them to anyone. They go thru employees like a plague, I have no idea why but get told they were the fault of the reasons my truck wasn't fixed right. read more

This shop does substandard work. They took in excess of 2 months to complete a hail repair, constantly lying about the timeline to the point an employee had to be fired. They stated they would cover the additional car rental days since they had made several mistakes. They didn't complete the repair in many ways: the sunroof didn't work, the roof was bent, the interior was completely covered in overspray, the gouged the rear passenger door and didn't paint match the repair, the roof rivets still leak, they broke the grill on removal and tried to use double sided tape to reinstall, and they lied about using genuine parts. I had to return to this shop three times to complete the repair, each time finding something that was either unfinished or poorly finished. They're even lazy enough to install the headliner with greasy hands and not even attempt to clean it. The headliner doesn't even fit the roof properly, most of the trim doesn't fit either. Most pieces were broken or damaged in the removal process and were not replaced, just reinstalled with double sided tape. Seriously shit job. Even after speaking with the Shop Manager and Director of Operations, Erik Orduno, they still refuse to pay the rental bill. Would not recommend. read more

Got into a car accident a few weeks ago and needed to put my car into a body shop. Colorado auto body was closed by to my apartment, so I gave them a call. They told me to give them the insurance estimate through email and I did; I was able to get an appointment for an earlier time than expected. They were really nice and accommodating. I did not get a rental car because I felt that I didn't need it. It took almost 9 days to get it fixed. They called and was able to check it out. Everything looked great! Almost like a brand new car. Brought my vehicle here for some rear end repair. It took a reasonable amount of time for the repair...no problem with that. Co-worker noticed the badging was slightly crooked...not a serious problem. The next morning I start my car and my tire pressure warning light is on... my husband found the low tire right away-down to 30 lbs. 2 days later, the tire pressure light is back on again. At this point, I'll mention I work for a local dealership. My service department reports back almost immediately the tire has been plugged. EXCUSE ME?!?! Now I'm VERY UNHAPPY! The tire can not be repaired it has to be replaced. I am in no way an unrealistic person, after all I work at a dealership, I understand accidents happen, but the fact I wasn't told about it up front pisses me off. On July 5, I was told it would take 4-5 days for the tire to come in...it's now the 14th and I'm the one that had to make the call to see what's up with the replacement tire. "Oh, it's in and I've got to go pick it up, I'll call you later this afternoon." Granted they owned up to it and took care of the tire, but this whole situation makes me feel very uneasy. read more

I really cannot bring myself to a higher rating than this for this shop even though I want to. To be fair the customer service was exceptional that is why I gave at least two stars. However, the workmanship was extremely poor. I was in a collision and needed my front end repaired they said it would take at least a month which is expected so six weeks later I finally received my car and the front windshield was ruined as well as my other 4 windows due to the clear coat or whatever they used for the paint. I could hardly see out of the windshield. I called and took it back to them and they agreed to replace it which was fine, but then my brake light was on because they didn't put enough brake fluid in it and it was hard to see out of the other windows. I also noticed what appeared to be an oil leak. I took it back again and they replaced all the four windows and had to have my car an additional week to repair the oil leak so they had to order a gear assembly. I went to get it for what I thought was the last time. I noticed the tint didn't match exactly and there appeared to be scratches on the lower part of the front two windows that they replaced but by this time I really didn't want them messing with my car anymore. After I got it back it continued to leak fluid so I had to take it to the dealership to get it fixed a 4th time. The mechanic they use didn't appear to know what they were doing and I wouldn't waste my time on this place if I were you. I still notice some things like loose pieces on the front of my car but really don't want to bring it back again after all that. They did however take full responsibility for everything and were always courteous to me with all their interactions which I appreciate. All this could have been avoided it they would have simply taken the time to make sure that everything was in working order before giving it back to me. After reading my initial review (below), the owner of the shop sent me a message offering to redo the job at his expense. WOW! That says a lot about his attitude toward customer satisfaction! I truly appreciate the offer, and if it were more convenient for me to do so, I would definitely take him up on the offer. Instead, since I can't get back to his shop to give them another stab at it, I will raise my rating to 4 stars. And...I will definitely be inclined to use them again in the future, since I know they care deeply about customer satisfaction. BRAVO!! I really, really wanted to like this place. It has rave reviews on Yelp, and on ReferralList.com. Truth is, their customer service is top notch. Everyone I dealt with, both on the phone and in person, was very polite and courteous. I was hopeful when I dropped off my vehicle for a full auto detailing. I expected to get a pristinely clean vehicle back when I picked it up. Why not? I keep my car very clean anyway, so how hard can it be? Well, I guess it is harder than I thought. It is called "detailing", and while they did an excellent job on the big things (like washing the exterior) they totally missed the details! The inside of my windows are still dirty, there are a few spots on the back seat floorboard that didn't get clean, and the console between the driver seat and front passenger seat was not cleaned. While I'm very happy they got the few small stains out of the cargo area of my vehicle, I'm disappointed with the overall job. read more

My repair was done in a timely manner, and looked great. HOWEVER. Then I had a paint problem where the dirt (I live on a dirt road) was sticking differently in the repaired spots than on the rest of the vehicle. For over two months now I have been trying to get them to fix it, or even return my call (we are standing on 4 weeks tomorrow I believe). While I realize I could call them AGAIN, I have made many phone calls to them trying to get this fixed and the rep will not return my call. May be great work, but absolutely terrible customer service. I would never recommend them, nor use them again, and have been trying to convince the insurance company that they should not be a Certified repair shop. Absolutely ridiculous. read more
