Update: Tiffany, one of the managers, was super kind and gave me a call after my initial manicure…read more She offered a partial refund, which I was happy to accept as opposed to a full refund, as the work was still done and the resulting nails were fine. She also worked with another manager at the store and was able to set up my next appointment with a specific tech - I believe it was Emily. Tiffany was very communicative via both text and DM on there Instagram account, which I used to schedule my next appointment. She was also there when I arrived for that appointment to ensure things went smoothly. Emily was very attentive during my service, and ultimately I was happy with this set. I did SNS and Emily finished with a gel top coat. Since I prefer to not have gel that is cured by UV, I may not return regularly. However, this salon has a huge selection of not only regular colors, but specialty colors as well, such as cat eye and jelly polishes. Jelly polishes are definitely on my list to try in the future, so I'll likely be back for that. I very much appreciate the team's outreach and support after my last review, and it's clear that they care greatly for the service they can provide their customers.

Update: The owner responded and characterized my request as "extensive cuticle work." To clarify, I…read moreonly asked for my cuticles to be pushed back before Gel-X application, and the technician had already begun applying product without doing so. The owner also referred to my Instagram comments as "spam." Sharing the same truthful experience on multiple public platforms is not spam. IF THE OWNER IS WILLING TO SPEAK WITH ME AND PROVIDE THE GEL-X SERVICE WITH BASIC CUTICLE PREP INCLUDED, WITHOUT THE ADDITIONAL $10 FEE, I'M WILLING TO RESOLVE THIS AND REMOVE MY COMMENTS. I would not have posted any of this had there been a genuine effort to problem-solve with me at the salon. ---- I was extremely disappointed with my experience here, and I will never be coming back. I came in for Gel-X nails, and the technician began applying gel adhesive without even pushing back or properly prepping my cuticles. When I asked for my cuticles to be pushed back before the extensions were applied, I was told it would cost an additional $10. I completely understand charging extra for a full manicure or extensive cuticle trimming. What I do not understand is charging extra for basic nail preparation before applying extensions. Proper prep affects how the nails look, adhere, and last, and I was not comfortable having Gel-X applied to an unprepped nail bed, so I stopped the service. They also charge extra for gel polish, and even though I brought my own, there was no adjustment in price. I was already paying for an expensive pedicure with builder gel and gel polish, so the lack of flexibility over something as basic as cuticle prep felt excessive. I would not recommend this salon to someone who regularly gets their nails done and is willing to pay for quality service. I have no problem paying for my nails, but I do have a problem being charged extra for necessary parts of the service. At that point, it feels less like premium service and more like being ripped off.

The vibe is always welcoming and upbeat. Don't be put off because of how small the shop is, the quality and care is superb. Support small businesses!

The male nail tech seems disgruntled and is low vibrational. The last 3 times he did my nails they either chipped, smudged or 1 nail completed fell off. It's a shame because he has potential to be an excellent nail tech if he can put his ego to the side and learn how to serve his clients. After giving me a new nail set at my last fill in appointment he told me my next appointment will be a new set: I told him no way. They seem to view their clients as walking ATMs--it's an uncomfortable feeling: They constantly badger you to do new sets, gel mani-pedis or expensive "spa" pedicures even after you've told them specifically the kind of services you want/prefer--it's more "them" focused than client focused. Btw,I was never thanked for my $20-$25 tips --ever. This last appointment took the cake--nail tech dude nicked my skin with his super sharp nail tool and blamed MY skin for "growing too close to the nail". This happened after leaving me under the fan for 15 minutes while he enjoyed a phone conversation right in front of me--so I knew it was because he wasn't paying attention--he seems resentful of his customers and unhappy to do this kind of work. When I arrived for my appointment (no such thing really because they treat everyone as a walk-in) he and a young girl didn't move to seat me, I had to ask them if they were working today in order to mobilize them--mind you I was the only customer. That said, I won't be back. I'm big on customer service and positive energy and I pay well for it, but it's not to be found there.

Another visit to The Nail Shop and there are still things I genuinely like about this place. It's…read moreclean, small, and usually not overly crowded, which is a BIG plus for me. I was also offered water much earlier during this visit, and my nail tech was meticulous. The final result? I LOVE my nails! But here we go again with the TIME. The fill-in took almost TWO HOURS. Why are we here this long for a fill-in?! I came for a fill-in, not a residency! Taking your time and being meticulous is one thing (and I appreciate that) but almost two hours for this service is just too much. The quality could still be better as well. I'll give credit where it's due because there have been improvements, and I really do like my nails. But I already know the rule when coming here: clear the calendar, bring some patience, and DO NOT come when you're in a rush.

I requested her and was told she's on "vacation." The person on the phone suggested "Pin" so I made an appointment with her. I show up the next day on time for my appointment. Pin was busy with someone else. They told me to have a seat at the pedicure bowl. I wasn't given a wait time. I sat there soaking my feet for at least 30 minutes before Pin was finally available. I understand taking walk-ins but why allow appointments?! Someone came in right after me and she was told a 30 minute wait. She literally was siting at the pedicure bowl for an hour. Pin did a great job but the color selection is very limited. I may give her another chance but I don't know if I'll be in a hurry to come back!

What do lovers do when they come back to each other? I've actually NEVER spin the block with anyone…read moreI've ever been with. Ever! This year however has me forgiving people and things. Life is too short. I had another heartbreak this year and my beloved nail tech left my salon of eight years. I was devastated and tried to use other people at the salon but it just wasn't the same. Nails were not done properly. I had to ask around and Bella kept being brought up. Even though I had a terrible experience before I tried it again. I have a class at Golds and with having another trip on the weekend I said, "why not" and "spinned the block". I'm glad I did. I didn't have an appointment but luckily I got paired with Sky and well it's a match! I love his work! Omg! He shaped my nails and cut them all the same length! He's perfection! So the moral of the story is... sometimes chapters close for good reason. I loved my old nail tech and he loved me but something's just end and that's okay. Point in case, I think this nail tech might be a little better. God, the Universe, call it what you want but sometimes a closed door is allowing you to open what you need. This year has been full of unexpected surprises, a great new nail tech is one I'll take as a win in my book. And so in the case of a lost beloved nail tech, as always, she lives happily ever after. I'll be back! I think I found a new place to call home!

Bella Lifestyle Nails & Spa is worth every single mile. The salon itself is absolutely gorgeous. It's bright, spotless, beautifully designed, and has more than enough parking (which, let's be honest, deserves its own five stars these days). The pedicure chairs are incredibly comfortable--you could probably convince me to move into one--and the nail stations are spacious, so you're not elbow-to-elbow with the person next to you. If you're someone who spends 20 minutes trying to pick a polish color...good luck! Their color selection is incredible, and they have a pedicure for just about every mood, budget, and level of "I deserve to be pampered today." Now for the real reason I make the drive...Sky. Sky's attention to detail is simply unmatched. He doesn't rush, he doesn't cut corners, and he genuinely cares that every single nail is perfect before you leave. I've had countless people ask me where I get my nails done, and the answer is always the same: "Bella Lifestyle...and ask for Sky!" Could I find a nail salon closer to home? Of course. Would I? Absolutely not. When you find someone who consistently does exceptional work and makes you leave feeling like a million bucks, you don't let them go. If you're looking for a beautiful salon, outstanding service, and a nail technician who treats your nails like they're his masterpiece, Bella Lifestyle Nails & Spa is the place. Ask for Sky...just don't take my appointment.
