Really fun and cool experience! I like that they have a lot of items available (figures, dinnerware, decorations). Just be warned basically EVERYTHING is above $30 alongside the studio fee of ~ $15. Depending on what you go with, it's definitely good to have an idea of what you want to do (design or color wise) before you go, so it doesn't eat into your limited time. I like that they have examples of how the paint will look before and after firing, alongside brightness/layer (on the wall). Brought my kids and their friends here for my daughters 10th birthday activity! It's such a cute spot to bring the kids and even your adult friends too! I mean, I'd love to come here by myself just to relieve the everyday stress. The girls there were very friendly and helpful. Be sure to make reservations because I can see why it gets busy. You'll have 2 hours to paint and they will let you know when it's ready for pick up! Thinking about this little spot makes me want to go back. There is metered parking you can use the app to pay and add more if needed or find a spot in the neighborhoods. Great group activity! Would be super enjoyable for groups, dates, friends, parents with kids.... Basically everyone. We were debating between this and a wheel-throwing pottery class. Having done a 2 hr pottery class before, this is definitely more beginner-friendly and relaxing, more colorful results, and costs way less per person! I booked a party of 14 for 2 hours so that we could relax and be creative. Color Me Mine was accommodating. Even though we took up a lot of their small space, there were other customers. We mostly parked near the park 7 minutes away and walked over. My colleagues that parked in meter parking had to run out to add time since it was 2 hours max. I think there was a great selection of options within our $28 per person budget. We were all so excited! I think because there were so many of us, they were cool with us getting the paints ourselves. The struggle is that the colors before glaze come out differently so it's hard to know how opaque and what hue the colors really are. But after glaze-- all the colors came out beautifully! I barely completed mine in 2 hours. Our items were fired up and ready to go within 7 days. Love that they come out food-safe as well. They packed everything and labeled everything neatly. This is a fun thing to do if you're feeling pretty artsy. I'm not big on doing any art, but I found this to be pretty calming and Therapeutic. Time does fly when your spending time painting your art pieces. I like that they provide you with all the materials when you do paint the initial clay figure. Afterwards, they glaze it and heat it up to harden it. It's a fun activity to do on occasion to flex your artistic muscles. I'm definitely not a artistic person, the the end results seem pretty decent. Parking could be difficult as parking usually is on 2nd street. The price was a little on the expensive side, but considering that you pay a flat rate for the materials/glazing/heating process leaves just the actual items you decide to paint as what dictates the variability of price. Earlier this June was a first time visit for me to a Color Me Mine. The lasting impression: It's fairly cramped inside and parking in the area is terrible (especially on a Saturday afternoon). My daughter's Girl Scout troop used two large tables towards the back. Had all of our members shown up we would have need a different set up and/or more elbow room. The photos I took were after a few girls left. Getting more paint took a while at times as there were only two employees tending to a few different groups and working the register, etc. We were allowed to bring snacks and drinks plus celebrate a birthday with cupcakes. It seems like a cool place for birthday parties *if* you want to shell out the money per child because it can get fairly pricey real quick. The employees didn't really interact with the girls much at all. I suppose because they think all scouts are independent and not needy like those *other* kids. Lol. (Totally kidding.) They seemed a little overwhelmed (I guess). In my opinion, it's more suited for a fun, personalized way to create a gift for someone. Just remember it takes about a week or so before you can pick up your item(s). read more

From the moment I walked in the atmosphere was positive and peaceful. As I walked in I was greeted and told about the things you can do which were finding a ceramic of your choice and choosing the 5 colors of your choice to paint with. The prices vary depending on size and there is also a $10 fee to sit and paint and that's also combine with the price of the piece you decide to get. Horrible customer service. Avoid if possible. Associates were passive aggressive and rude. They were unable to find the finished pieces after searching a "dozen+" times. They were accusatory and blatantly implied the pieces had already been picked up. They kept saying "we don't lose things here..." and recalled having "wrapped up the pieces previously." Low and behold the "umpteenth" time looking was finally the time they "found" it. They called minutes after having left the store for a second time. There was no sincere apology upon returning; the associate just pointed to the bag of ceramics... and gave a quick and fake "Sorry about that, thank you" while exiting. The most ironic thing about the entire debaucle is that a similar scene unfolded while painting the pieces. A mother and her two kids had entered and waited for their pieces which were also "nowhere to be found..." & yes, they eventually found those pieces as well. read more

Very clean and organized store! This location always has friendly staff and they are thorough in making sure everyone has the supplies they need for their creations! I love that the staff is all young, artistic people who can help when you are stuck with a design. They have some amazing ideas and can help you problem solve to make a beautiful piece! I took off one star for a phone conversation when I asked a question and got a quick "No" and hung up on. I think it was the owner or manager that was on the phone and I totally understand if it was a busy day but I had more questions and didn't end up buying anything because of that. I went with my girlfriend for a cool date. Little did I know I would be harassed by tweakers while I'm painting with my baby momma. I thought it was a safe environment like how I read in the reviews. Not to mention I paid $96 for 2 statues and I was told they would email or call me via number or email after I wrote down my information and I never got a call or an email back. Once we called a week later because they said it would take a week or 2 to receive a call or email after 14 days we decided to call because we wanted to get our money worth and what we worked hard for. Come to find out when we called they said they never had it and told us we never paid for it and we showed up to the store and they said they didn't have it or anything like that , it was a nice experience but horrible employees horrible store , DO NOT COME UNLESS YOU WANT A BAD EXPERIENCE WITH YOUR S/O OR FRIENDS OR FAMILY AND LOSE YOUR MONEY WORTH. Yes this place is gonna break the piggy bank and leave u broke for a month & take all your lunch $$$. 4 of us painted, 2 adults and 2 kids. Over 140$ yep. One coffee cup, one Belle, one car and one surf board. Bam! So expensive, BUT lets jus say this place is a one time every once and a while type thing. Paint, list your 5 colors and lady brings them to u. It is rather slow but so fun to do. U gotta do it when your kids can really appreciate it. These r keep sake items, so to me it's worth it. I always come right when it opens BC I actually want to enjoy myself and not be overwhelmed with being rushed. This process can take a while BC it depends how long or fast u paint and what you paint. There's lots of stencils, paint colors, ceramic's, piggy banks, cups, clocks so many ceramics to pick from it's endless. Cost: save up. Expensive. Each ceramic piece check the bottom of for cost & then add an additional sitting painting fee of 10$ or so for adult and 8$ for kid. We did it on Memorial Day holiday/ end of year graduation present. Parking: it's LB Gluck. Park around the corner from Nicks on 2nd and back parking lot and pay & walk. It's easier or Uber. You don't have to be an artist it's jus fun be creative that's all. I had fun. End result: you won't be walking away with it jus yet. Come back ONE week later and it then is glazed and made perfectly in an oven. read more

One suggestion - Go to another location!!! As other reviews state, color me mine is fun. However at this particular location the brushes are worn out COMPLETELY!! I have no idea why they give you those old and in bad shape brushes. Also the selection (maybe because of covid?) is not as big. This is still however "ok" when all you're trying to do is to have some fun, but when the service is also bad then there's a problem. As soon as we come in, the employee seems to be bothered. Her name is Zareth, which by the way she never mentioned, but that's because she didn't want to talk to us. The one thing she was quickly to say was that "the cheapest things they have are mugs, and those are about $20-something" we never asked for a price, but maybe we were just being prejudged. We stayed because it was someone's birthday and didn't want to ruin it. Zareth took about 10 minutes after we sat down to bring us the colors we asked for, which they only give you 5 to start with. This employee decided to disappear after that, we had to get up and go look for her to ask for more colors. The store was not busy. Long story short, this woman made it uncomfortable to be there. She also keep on repeating they were ready to close since 5:30 but they close at 6pm. We paid at 5:58pm so we were out of there in time. Very cute and cozy craft place. My daughter was invited to a birthday party where they got to paint their own piece. After a week, it was fired and she was able to take it home. A few months later, it was my 8th anniversary (pottery) so I decided to take my wife here and paint our own piece. Pretty straight forward, you buy a piece, sit down and start painting. They have a wall of glaze paints where you can choose whatever colors you want. When you are done, hand them the piece and go home. A week later you come back and pick up the finished piece. Only thing I can complain about is that they give you this little tray with a quarter sized dimple in it to hold the paint. I bought a 14" vase so had to go back and forth about 20 times to get enough paint to cover the vase. I know. It is so that people don't waste the paint. But it makes it so inconvenient. Definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to spend some time with a loved one chatting while they make something unique. Now that we have a vase and a shallow bowl, we have no idea what to do with it. read more

My husband and I came to Color Me Mine once for a date night since we had no plans and were walking around in Belmont Shore. We saw the sign for a special in the window advertising two for one couples night (this was on a Friday night) and decided to come in. Normally you would pay $10 per adult and $7 per child as their flat fee to use their art supplies that include paint brushes, paint, palates, glazing fee and so forth. Then depending on the item you choose to paint (which there are many items to choose from on their shelves that include plates, glasses, piggy banks, pitchers, random figures and so forth) it can be quite expensive (each item is also marked with their price so you know how much it will cost you prior to painting). My husband ended up choosing a pitcher with assorted fruit and I decided to pick this figure of 2 dolphins swimming in an ocean wave. We both selected a few different colors of paint and got into the zone of painting. I think we ended up staying there for almost 2 hours (probably took us 10-15 minutes just to decide what we wanted to paint). During that time, there were a few other people coming in but for the most part, the place was not crowded. Employees were friendly and available on the floor in case we needed some help. Then after we were both done painting our items, we handed our masterpieces off to one of the employees and was told that it would be available in about a week. So a little less than 1 week, we came back and picked up our beautifully painted items (truly one of a kind originals!). We still both have our painted items in our home and display them (unfortunately they are both just collecting dust, lol. But there was one point in which my husband did use his pitcher. After every use, he washed it and it caused no damage to the pitcher). Total cost for our date night was over $50 (including tax) which I think is rather pricey. And since then, we have not returned to this location or any other Color Me Mine business. I think if the prices were half the price of what they charge, I would probably come by here more often. But of course I know businesses need to make money so I don't see the prices decreasing in the future. But Color Me Mine is definitely a fun and unique experience as a date night, girl's night out, children's birthday celebration and so forth. And I think it is worth trying out at least once. But of course better on days when place has special discounts. You can check out their monthly calendar on line for those days or call them ahead of time to ask. read more

UPDATE: since I wrote the review below I've gone back to pick up my items which turned out great. The owner let me know she has brushes in better condition behind the counter that you can ask for. My one and only complaint/ heads up for people who go into this with an artist mentality or expectation: BRING YOUR OWN BRUSHES! If you aren't very artsy you sure won't be with these old worn brushes. If you are a good artist you'll be frustrated you can't work with these tools.
