However, the have examples of some nice things, but they dont actually have the items to paint. Some items are smaller than other but cost way more to paint. It would also be nice if the staff knew some of the painting techniques used on the display items. Very Rude workers. I walked in as a big family and took 3 tables. The worker Alice moved my sons and girlfriends items from a table to another table saying I didn't make a reservation and she needs tables for walk in. We were walk ins before this other customer what gives her the right to move my sons items to another area. Extremely rude. I asked her so you guys don't want us to be walk ins? We had a really great experience here. Went in on a Wednesday at 12 and it was completely empty. We were the only people here and sat at a nice little table. We had all the brushes and paints and ceramics to ourselves. It was so peaceful, very diverse music choices. It was just the perfect way to spend a rainy, gloomy afternoon. You show up, you pick your object, you collect your own paints, you bring it to your table, you paint it, they fire it. Open space, not busy even during a holiday period. Small statue, about $35 when all said and done. (so not cheap) But..... No one helped me, no one chatted with me, no one served me. My only interaction with the staff was to pay them. I got asked to tip. But why.....?? What was I tipping for? Who was I tipping? Isn't their job to take payment and to fire the statue when I'm done painting it? So yeah, amusing, and soured my experience there. read more

visited this location as a first timer and I was pleased with the experience and the kids enjoyed it too! Sad part was that when we went to pick up our beautiful pottery, 1 was chipped and it was obvious when we got home. I noticed the woman that checked us out concealed the top of the seahorse but I didn't think much of it. When I got home later and removed the item from the bag, I noticed to 2 obvious scuff marks. This could have been easily remedied, but the woman chose to conceal it and allowed us to walk away knowing the item was defective. Color Me Mine is a great activity whether you are an adult, teen or child! I highly recommend it for all ages, it is super entertaining and the cost is very reasonable. You do need to reserve by calling or messaging them on Facebook (they respond VERY fast). You can also book outdoor seating which is a bit safer due to COVID. My daughter did this with her friend and it was a super fun activity! They provide paints, brushes, sponges, and even templates to paint in with patterns like stars, hearts and more! You have to pay an $8 studio fee as well, and each pottery piece had a designated price that is on the bottom. Color Me Mine has been a huge part of my childhood growing up. When I was turning 11 or 12, I had had my birthday at the Glendale location (doesn't exist anymore), so when my guy suggested we have an artistic experience of a day, I was super pleased to know that there was a local one very close to us! 3 hour parking is available in the back in an outdoor public lot. We went on a Thursday afternoon so it was pretty busy, but the selection of the pieces were very low. When we went back to pick up our pieces a week later on a Thursday, they filled up all the shelves with more choices, so I guess it just depends on the flow of customers. They were out of a bunch basic colors as well, like black or white. Alot of the pieces aren't clayed nicely together, so when you're painting.. many spaces don't catch the paint/color, so when they glaze it, it looks like that spot didn't get painted. The worker was very helpful and attentive. All the brushes, palettes, and paints are self serve. You do not have to wash your stuff at the end, the worker does it for you which is nice. I guess next time I'd check the shelves before settling for any one piece, but it's a really fun activity for both kids and adults, and really takes out a person's creative abilities! read more

So I feel stupid saying this but I Never understood this whole 'paint your own piece' thing. I was like - seriously this is a chic thing (yes, call me sexist, whatever LOL), and I never would have thought myself to do it. Well, my little one wanted to go and paint something, and I'll do whatever to spend time with her, so I took her to Color Me Mine. We were greeted by a super nice employee named Sierra. She asked if we have been there before (my daughter has but I haven't)and Sierra was kind enough to explain the process, colors, brushes, layers, etc. So we went around and chose our pieces (she chose a Pegasus that looks like my little pony and I picked a dinosaur). We started coloring and I feel weird saying this, but I totally got lost in painting this dinosaur. It became very therapeutic, lol. I was like "I should do this more often!!" LoL. Sierra would come by and check up on us to see if we needed anything and she was super sweet to my daughter. After we were done, she took them from us and we went back a week and a half later to find some awesome looking my little pony and dinosaur! We both loved our creations. I have to say, with the customer service we received and how everything was so well organized (and finding this super therapeutic), Color Me Mine is awesome!! If I could afford doing this once a week or twice a week, I would totally be there, like member status LOL (which I don't think exists but you get the picture). I absolutely hate leaving negative reviews for small businesses, but this one deserves a 0 if it was available. We went to the Honolulu location at the end of June with 3 toddlers. My child picked 2 item and the other ones just one each. They told us it will be ready the following week. They even called to say that they were running a day late, which was okay since I couldn't go that day anyways. Long story short we decided to go again today. This time with 4 toddlers. We walked in and picked our items and our kids proceeded to paint and have a good time. One of the moms went to get her previous item and was informed that they couldn't locate it. So, thinking since they lost her $45 item, they would refund her money or at least give her some credit towards the new item. But NO, they told her she had to pay for the new one. My friend got upset and asked for a manager, this is where it got interesting. The employee who seemed to be a teenager started crying from my friends angry reaction to the situation and apparently called the owner. Instead of saying I'm sorry that we lost your item, she threatened to call the cops if we all didn't get out of there. Are you nuts? Who the heck do you think you are? You lost the item, be kind and at least apologize. This owner has no clue how to run a business. Kids that work there need to be trained to handle angry customers and not cry and take it personal. Horrible costumer service! Place is run by unprofessional teenager girls who have no understanding of costumer service or running a business properly. We went to pick up our items and we arrived around 7:35pm. They had a party that was leaving as we walked in. They had already cleaned up and put up the chairs and the party was over when we arrived to pick up. I approached the pay area to request to pick up my items and one of the workers asked the other one if she can grab my items. Her response was no we are closed already. I looked at my cellphone and it was 7:41pm so they had 19 minutes left to actual closing hours on their business door. When I turned back and said there is still 19 minutes remaining for your store to close the one girl said we had a private party. When I said the private party just left there response was come tomorrow after 2pm? No where on the business it states that they close early due to private party so technically they were not closed and the so called private party had ended but yet they turned me away with two little kids. So if tomorrow I go back and they have a private party they might turn me away at 2pm so when the heck can I pick up my items! Sunday will be two weeks am trying to get my items. read more

I came to Color Me Mine for Friday Pajama Night where you get dressed up in your pajamas and pay only $3 bucks for the studio fee, which is normally $10. My friend and I had a blasssst! There was a huge kids' birthday party at the table next to us and we got such a kick out of listening to the kids tell each other stories and laugh their little hearts out. Tickled our hearts, we couldn't stop laughing with them! Color Me Mine is a place you can go and be a kid again, get your hands covered in paint, and just have fun with your friends. I just had my daughter's 5th birthday party here. THIS PLACE ROCKS!!!! First of all, the customer service is pretty amazing. I originally booked a party expecting 10 little kids. Well, it turned out that we had 19 little kids. 19!!! about a week before the party, I called and was pretty frazzled to learn that they had placed us up front in an area that can only accommodate up to 10 painting kids and NO seating area for adults. I was stressed out and pretty much venting at the woman on the phone. NOT only did she NOT tell me to piss off, she ended up accommodating me for the bigger area in the back if we would just move the time. It turned out to be a better time, anyway - that was perfect! When we arrived, the tables were set up and the pottery pieces were there for selection. They assigned TWO party hosts who were absolutely fantastic with children. They helped the kids pick out the pieces, and poured the paint. The tables had paintbrushes, and they tied pretty balloons to the paint bottles. Incredible. While the kids were painting, the 2 hosts walked around and helped them. The kids all had a blast!! From dragons to butterfly jewelry boxes, to dogs to frogs - every kid expressed themselves - even my 21-month baby painted an owl! After painting, the hosts helped to label the kids' hard work and said that they would fire it and glaze it and I could pick up for distribution the following week. Having hosted all these birthday parties over the years, I MUST say -being able to take home a piece of pottery you created is the BEST party favor EVER. Especially by age 5, where those 99 cent favors just don't cut it anymore. Finally, the staff was AWESOME with the kids who got a bit rowdy in the end. They played games (like Simon Says) - and helped seat them so we could bring out the birthday cake. Then they helped us cut and serve the cake. The whole party took 2 hours. And they cleaned up!!!! It was the best birthday party, ever. Both for my daughter, and us tired parents. We purchased the GOLD package, which comes with 12 balloons, and a commemorative plate. This plate idea is INGENIOUS: they bring over a plate and have all the kids put their thumbprints on the plate. Then, they have the birthday girl pick out what little creatures they like - like crabs, soccer balls, horses, etc - and they turn the kids' thumbprints into these beautiful creatures, on a PLATE that you can take home and remember your 5th birthday, and who attended your birthday. I loved this place. If I weren't such an overachiever, I would probably have my kids' parties here every year. It's going to be tough to top this one. We had Stephanie as a host. She was fabulous. I have read most of the bad reviews before walking in. Most of them was about the expensive price of the items. First of all,choosing your pieces was not a surprise at all. Each item is price tagged and everything was explained before setting up your art stuff. There were many colors to choose from and for extra artwork detailing needs. Again,this place is ideal for spending time with your children or friends and for those who value quality and PRICELESS family or friendship moments. It's a very peaceful and the ladies are super knowledgable and friendly. Location is perfect and I have always loved this part of the city of Montrose. Small,quiet and decent. Went there with my family on a Friday. We made a reservation and we were only supposed to be there a couple hours but that turned into 3 1/2 hours because we really got into our pottery painting. This location is in a really nice area and the atmosphere here is really warm and inviting. The painting area is very spacious and equipped with all the painting supplies needed to create your master piece. I wanted my daughter to paint gifts for her grandmas and this place is PERFECT. It was our first time visiting here so it was a bit overwhelming walking inside and not knowing exactly what to do. Luckily, the worker Jessica was there to help us. She was extremely attentive and helped us painting our daughters hands and feet. Even when my daughter was having a melt down, Jessica provided a balloon and crayons to help calm her down. We ended up painting a mug and a plate.
