I purchased two gift cards as birthday gifts for friends. At the time of purchase, the employee mentioned that they were using a new system, so I was understanding when the process seemed a little difficult. However, I only received one of the two gift cards by email. I contacted the business separately to request the missing gift card. Rather than simply re-sending it, I was repeatedly asked to check my junk/spam folder. While I understand that emails can occasionally be filtered, this became frustrating when the gift card still wasn't received. The owner eventually located the missing gift card several days later, but by then my friend's birthday had already passed. What should have been a simple gift purchase turned into a frustrating experience and ultimately ruined the timing of the gift. Unfortunately, the problems continued when I tried to redeem the gift card. There was another significant delay and difficulty getting it processed, and I ultimately had to contact the manager myself to get the issue resolved. What was most disappointing was not simply that mistakes happened, but how the situation was handled. I would have been much more understanding if there had been a simple apology and an effort to make the situation right. Instead, I felt like I was being given a hard time for an issue that was not caused by me. Businesses can have new systems and occasional mistakes--that's understandable. What matters is how those mistakes are handled with customers and lack of training with their employees. In this case, I felt the communication, follow-through, and customer service were lacking. I was a returning customer and would have continued supporting this business, but after these experiences, I unfortunately will not be returning or purchasing gift cards from here again.

We picked a vase, our colors and painted together. I received a call 3 days later that it was ready for pick-up! It was perfect!!!!! Something we will cherish for years to come! I will definitely return for a girls night or just a night out of the house. Super clean, friendly staff, easy parking in the connecting lot. You can also bring in any of your own food and drink! All the employees are helpful and kind. They check in a right amount, and do a great job not making you feel rushed. 10/10 environment. Their pieces change through the year, so it's nice to come back and find seasonal things to paint. They close at 9:00pm, but we've found ourselves here for a few hours, so plan accordingly! The only downsides I've found are after the firing process is done. Some of our old pieces from when we first came a few years ago have crazing, which makes the pottery unsafe for food or drink. If your piece is for decoration, it should be fine. I haven't noticed it on newer pieces, so they may have adjusted the way their fire them. The second thing is that all my pieces, new and old, have pin marks from being supported in the kiln. It prevents a smooth surface, but also, I've noticed it's an entry way for moisture, which makes it unsafe for food and drink. One of my pieces held onto moisture after washing it because of the pin holes. All this to say, it doesn't deter us from visiting. We still love coming to Kitsch and will continue to visit. Its a great place to catch up, go on a date, or just hang out.

I loved the materials they used, the creativity they both employed and encouraged, and the patience they exhibited with the kids. So when my daughter wanted to enroll in art classes, it was a no-brainer. Of course I was going to send her to The Art Room. Class sizes are small, the room is intimate but spacious, and instruction is personalized and very, very good. She consistently came home with beautiful artwork and learned about and applied new techniques with each class, including a lovely "under the sea" watercolor using salt to create bubbles. Best pot making workshop!…read more My friend booked a Make-a-Pot Workshop on Eventbrite this past Saturday and we had so much fun adding colors to our cement molds. The class was organized by Krizia (aka Concrete Geometric on IG). We arrived a little late for the class, but luckily they had just began and we were able to pick our molds - oval, circle, or square. Our class favorited the oval shaped molds and we quickly became experts at mixing different colors thanks to Krizia's assistance. Based off all of the services she provided, this was definitely an experience I'd invite all of my friends and family to try. While we waited for our molds to bake, there were plenty of beautifully crafted items for sale. As a student of the class, we were given a 10% discount off items purchased in the store and a free succulent from the yellow bin. Snacks and bottled water were available for us as well. After our molds were ready, it was time for the reveal. Each student opened their mold to show the class and it was wonderful to see everyone's unique creations. We took group photos and received a polaroid to take home. It was the sweetest gesture! This class was such a blast and at such a great value! Highly recommend to anyone who wants to get in touch with their creative side.

It's a fun place for crafty people. Celebrated a birthday here. They were kind enough to let us cut a cake that we brought along. The vibe is very hip and nostalgic. Pacman, Mario, Micky Mouse, lots of mushroom sculptures, bags, pens, and much more! They give you an apron and gloves. You customize the colors you want in the pot! They provide the concrete mix and the colored powder to choose the color you want. Krizia showed us the consistency we needed before we poured the mixture into our molds. You can customize whether you want your pot to have drainage holes. The concrete dries quickly! The curing process happened in two parts and happened over about less than an hour. You can technically go get coffee while you wait for it to dry. The shop is beautifully merchandised. They are a design agency that has a little store, which also hosts workshops.

I wanted to do something different and special with my mom, who is almost 80, incredibly active, full of spirit, and has worked hard her entire life. She had never really been in a setting where she could simply sit down, paint, and explore her creative side, so I wanted to surprise her with something new. While we were still in Vista, we briefly parked and I started looking up pottery-painting places closer to the LA County area. That is when I came across Clay Cafe. We were already beginning our drive back toward home, so I decided to take a chance on it even though it was still about 30 minutes from us. I'm so glad I did. This is a family-owned business run by a mother-and-daughters team who are artists themselves, and you can really feel the care they've put into the space. They were welcoming, helpful, patient, and genuinely kind from the moment we walked in. We picked out our pottery and ended up spending almost THREE HOURS painting! The time flew by because we were having such a great time together. There are plenty of paints, tools, and creative options, and the guidance they provide is wonderful without making you feel rushed. They also have a cafe next door with coffee, cookies, and other goodies. If you have a sweet tooth, definitely try the cookies--they are huge! We enjoyed iced coffee and a cappuccino while we were there. I will say that this isn't the cheapest pottery-painting experience, but I felt the quality, materials, tools, atmosphere, and assistance made it worth it. My shark piggy bank was around $60 and my mom chose a vase around $50, so with everything we spent roughly $130-$140 for the two of us, depending of course on what pottery you choose. After you finish painting, they glaze and fire your pieces. They took our contact information, and about two weeks later we received a text letting us know everything was ready. We picked up our finished pottery today and were SO happy with how it turned out. They welcome walk-ins, although I would recommend making a reservation, especially if you want to settle in and really enjoy the experience. Parking was also easy since they are in a small plaza shared with 7-Eleven. They also host fun events, including a plant bingo where you can apparently win plants, so definitely check their current schedule. For me, though, the best part was simply getting to sit across from my mom, paint together, laugh, talk, and watch her creative side come out. That memory alone was worth every penny. Ponti, the owner, made this birthday so special for our 6 year old and all her friends. From the beginning he was so easy to work with and very communicative. Ponti has kids birthday parties down to a science with different activities planned out that all the kids loved! Him and his team handled it all while we got to relax and chat with other parents. On top of that, we didn't have to worry about goodie bags because all the kids went home with a couple pieces of glow in the dark art that they made. There was a separate, and massive, room for food and drinks so when cake cutting came around it was so easy. Also he made setting up and packing up so easy. They promised a refund, but I never received it until I followed up multiple times, and eventually they gave me a credit instead. * The second time, I showed up and the door was closed with nobody there. Again, I didn't receive the credit until I reached out a second time. * The third time, my class was once again canceled last minute. At that point, I decided I was done and had to request a refund again. It's very frustrating to plan my schedule, drive over, and arrive ready for class only to find cancellations without proper communication or timely refunds. I really enjoyed my past experiences here, but the lack of reliability and follow-through has made it difficult to continue.

It was a teacher who plays a Spotify list of songs and then you put on different hats to each song while they do hand motions to the song. It was SUCH a SAD excuse for a music class, esp after having experienced Lovebug and Bloom. Also, The elephant hat smelled so bad I couldn't put it on. It was disgusting. They really need to either get some new hats or wash them or something. It smelled like wet dog. Overall, this place seemed kind of rundown. I will never be back because why would I spend money in a place with a zero customer service and subpar classes?
