I highly recommend the Montrose location of Drawn2Art! My daughter has been taking regular classes here for the last four years. She started with their weeklong camps during school breaks and signed up for regular classes because she enjoyed the instruction so much. I have really appreciated how personalized the experience has been. After going through multiple tracks of the year-round art curriculum, my daughter wanted to focus more on portraiture, which isn't typically offered. The Montrose team went above and beyond to develop a portraiture curriculum which she has pursued for the last 3+ years. In addition, the staff has helped us find solutions to accommodate scheduling conflicts that impacted her regular classes. She has developed strong relationships with multiple teachers, all of whom have been incredibly supportive and invested in her art journey. My 5 year old daughter started taking art classes here about a month ago because we had a gift certificate that we received when my daughter won miss Oktoberfest 5 years ago when she was 3 months old! My daughter was taking dance classes on Honolulu and my son (who was 6 at the time) just had to sit in the waiting area until her class was over. I noticed Drawn2Art across the street from the dance studio and signed my son up for the free introductory lesson- I figured it would give him something to do while my daughter danced. This was a happy accident as he absolutely LOVED it. This was three years ago and my son is still going strong! My son, who is now 9-years-old, has learned focus, patience, and has grown a genuine love and appreciation for art. He has advanced through many different mediums and has learned skills for shading, contouring, and utilizing different tools. Each time he exits his class he has a huge smile on his face and his art work is beyond impressive! Also, each gift-giving holiday, he asks for art supplies so he can practice his skills at home. This is a testament to the impact his weekly art classes are having on him. His participation in these art classes has expanded his hobbies and instilled a unique sense of confidence that benefits him both inside and outside of the art studio. Additionally, the instructors and staff, including the Studio Manager, Susana, are top-notch. They have a very easy system for scheduling make-up classes and are always quick to respond to questions or concerns. My son raves about his instructors (especially Vanuhi) and I appreciate that they offer feedback on my son's growth when I pick him up each week. The younger kids participate in 1-hour classes and then they transition to 1.5 hour classes once they get a bit older. The introductory class is free, so you can't go wrong. This place is fantastic. My daughter is super shy and insecure but is fantastic at Art. I was worried she wouldn't adjust well and be to shy to speak up. I was shocked to see the work she was bringing home at 5 years old. Fantastic framework for the house and made even better Christmas gifts for the family. Having lingered around a bit during classes, I was able To see how attentive, kind and helpful the teachers were and how they engaged my kid to do better. We have Switched around a few days due to Sports and I can't say any single teacher is better than the other because tHey were each fantastic. My 8 year old daughter started with Drawn2Art 2 years ago and I can't ever imagine her not being enrolled! She just loves her classes and looks forward to attended always. The teachers are just wonderful and work hard to deliver lessons to my daughter in a way which help her learn, grow and develop her skills in art. Just when you thought the art of customer service was gone in this boorish world- enter KidsArt in Montrose and their incredible manager Susan. One week of My camp plans for my kids somewhere else fell through and as a working parent I was scrambling to find something entertaining, different, close to home, and enriching- all the things you look for when you're trying to find summer activities for your kids and not just childcare. I noticed a class that KidsArts had that my two kids were really interested in but as it turned out they had canceled the class because they didn't have enough registrants. Susan, the one of a kind manager, worked with me and another family at the last minute, secured the registrants needed in order to host a class, and we pulled this whole thing off and just a couple of days. I'm not suggesting this is normal or will always happen... But the way she bent over backwards to accommodate my family, worked with another family who wanted the same class, secured a qualified artist to teach the class- and all the things it takes in between, is nothing short of remarkable in this day and age. Even if it hadn't worked out, her effort was beyond what I expected and I was so grateful. My kids are on the older end of the age group (12 &14) but because KidsArt has such great instructors, they're able to work with each of the kids skill level individually. So my kids fit perfectly alongside younger children who are newer artists. My son was more of a tagalong, def not an artist like my daughter-I really didn't think he would enjoy it very much because his preference is to play video games or run around outside. But I needed them both busy at the same time- And bingo-this class has surprisingly been his favorite. He's loved the different experience of trying something new, at the same time creating characters on his own has been fantastic. He says it's "kinda peaceful" ummm what? From a 14 year old boy?!? Honestly this was a sleeper hit. I cannot recommend this place enough. I must've walked past it 200 times over the past four years and I can't believe I've missed this gem. My kids love Drawn2Art. All the instructors are great with kids and kids really learn how to draw. It's not a little art and craft class, kids learn real drawing techniques. My kids took art classes here for over a year. The teachers and staff are very very nice, but I felt like my kids only learned little more than how to trace and color. After a year I would expect a little more instruction on actual drawing techniques but it was all coloring and shading. After we stopped the classes here, I felt that the kids had no transferable art skills they had learned. My kids enjoyed the classes here but I did not see much progress in the art instruction beyond coloring. At the very least, it would be helpful if the staff explained what they were teaching and when the kids would learn new techniques. I felt like I basically overpaid for over a year's worth of coloring classes. read more

My 5 year old has taken classes here for 2 months now. I am not happy with several things: There are too many beginners in the class, so my daughter sits there with her hand raised most of the class, which means she is not doing anything other than waiting for one of the teachers to help her. It costs $99 a month, plus a material fee of $15, for 4 classes. That is expensive, just to have her sitting with her hand raised. After 2 months of classes, she produced 4 pieces of art, which means it took her 2 hours to draw and color a 5x7 sized animal and each piece cost over $50. I wouldn't mind if she could actually transfer what she learned to her art elsewhere. We will not be going back to this place. read more

I registered my daughter about 6 months ago. She is 12 and loves to draw. She has improved her drawing drastically, every week she is working on a project that when she is done, I cannot believe how good she is.
