Me and my boyfriend went in on a Tuesday afternoon and the staff was very helpful and welcoming. They constantly checked in on us, offering new paint when we ran out. Theres a $10 service fee and each piece averages to about $20-$28, I would recommend expecting to spend at least $100 for 2 people, but it's definitely something to try out. read more

Our group enjoyed our event. We all had a blast. The staff was very tentative and made our visit wonderful.

Color Me Mine is always a fun time for my girls (8 and 11). It is usually an hour or two depending on the piece they pick. "Fun, exciting and it's da best" is how my daughter describes it. The hardest part is waiting for it to be baked and ready for pick up which is usually a week or two. The staff is always helpful and very friendly! read more

Color Me Mine - Birthday plate. Can't wait to see it finished. - Paint-Your-Own Pottery Near Me - Cypress, Texas

My husband and two boys came here the Saturday before Father's Day and it was a little busy, but not too bad. We had a GREAT time. This is such a cute place for a date night or family outing. We decided to go here because the traditional gift to give for 9 years anniversary is pottery, and what better place to go than Color Me Mine? (: There are a LOT of ceramics to choose from so you can truly get creative and personal with your selection. There are many options including piggy banks, plates, bowls, dishes, mugs, etc. You have to pay $10 painting fee per painter in addition to the price of your selected ceramic. Our grand total was about $74, which seems pricey, but it was worth it because we had a great time, and we were able to make customized gifts for one another. The girls there were really friendly, and one girl in particular who helped us was SO SWEET! I wish I got her name. She was so accommodating and friendly towards our two little boys. We didn't pay to have the boys paint a ceramic piece because they're too young. However, she gave them some paint and coloring sheets so they wouldn't be bored. That was incredibly helpful because it allowed my husband and I to concentrate a bit better. We stayed there for about 1.5 hours and they kept checking back on us and getting us paint. We asked for a lot of paint, and they never seemed annoyed or rushed us. They also gave a lot of good tips and advice! Thank you, ladies, for a fun night! We got our pottery back recently and love the results. read more

Went here for a group activity with my kid and her friend plus her mom. The staff was extremely nice and welcoming and all the ceramics were great options as well as affordable. Was not told about the extra fees until check out, so make sure you ask about that! read more

This place is a great date night if you enjoy chatting and painting. I did something similar years ago but the designs were very basic. What I like about this place is that they have things to paint that people find interesting. For example they had a Star Wars section which is something polar empire peeked to paint and have. I enjoyed how helpful the staff was during the process. They always checked on us if we needed paint and answered our questions with kindness. I recommend it, it's something different and you leave with something you painted. read more

Visited here for a birthday gathering. There are various items to choose from and the employees are very helpful. It took about 2 weeks to receive the finished items (I'll drop the picture below). I loved it it's great to bring children, family, friends and etc. It something different from the typical things. We definitely plan to come back. read more

This was a fun activity for everyone! Good for friends, date night, kids, family visits, etc. it did take longer than I thought, but we also put quite a bit of detail on our projects so this can range from 1 hour to however long you want. I do wish we could've gotten them sooner, but that's just because we were excited and impatient the turnaround time was 1.5 weeks, which they said when it would be ready. Can't wait to return! read more

First of all , employees don't pay attention when you run out of paint which makes it a waste of time. And when you do ask for a paint they give you the wrong color. Very disappointing as a first time visitor. read more

I've been here twice now and both times there's this sense of urgency about the place. I have felt rushed both times. The space is fairly small so be prepared to sit near strangers and paint. The tables are so close together there's hardly room to walk and get supplies. It is a hassle to get someone to get more paint, especially when you're painting a big item. I also don't know why they don't have you sponge wash your pottery prior to painting as the ceramic is dusty. I had to wipe mine with a paper towel to get the dust and debris off. I think just the location itself has been a turn off for me because I don't want to sit and paint in what feels like a closet. I'd prefer a little more space and environment that feels like I can take my time. read more

First time there today. Took my daughter and her two friends which they really enjoyed it. Even if their AC wasn't working, the owner was there and he was very polite and gave us water. I purchased a Groupon for the studio fee which helped but their prices weren't bad. I would definitely go again. Other workers were nice as well and welcoming. Saw this place on TikTok which for someone who just moved to Texas, it's a great source to use to find places to do here. read more

Great atmosphere, great employees, and great fun. I've come in on multiple occasions and haven't had one bad experience. Employees are very attentive and helpful. They explain everything well, they check on you often, and make sure you're well taken care of. Pieces are slightly pricy but it's work the sacrifice lol. Absolutely recommend for family time!! read more

Absolutely loved painting our 3rd anniversary mugs here! The atmosphere was very welcoming and we felt like it was truly an all ages environment (adults included!). The staff was very accommodating and frequently checked back to see if we needed anything. PLUS, when there was a miscommunication about shipping our mugs, the general manager covered the cost to get them to us in California! We will be visiting Houston again this coming year and color me mine will be another highlight to our visit read more

Color Me Mine - Our awesome mugs - Paint-Your-Own Pottery Near Me - Cypress, Texas

fun activity with a variety of pottery to choose from. Great for creativity. ------------------------------ --price | bit pricy but tolerable. $8 fee to come into studio ( adult ). price varies per item. The cheapest ceramic is $5 ( tiny topper ). The normal sized ones are around $20. Im not too sure if paint is a fee. ------------------------------ --wait time | I came on a Sunday which was very crowded. There was a long wait time but I had the patience. I think it would be less crowded on a weekday. Tables were filled. The workers had to make a wait list. ------------------------------ --service | employees were polite tried to help with any problems. They were easy to understand, good at explaining & helpful. ------------------------------ --colors | paint went on smoothly and we were given multiple brushes. There were a lot of color options. The workers gave a generous amount of paint. For the right color you needed to put on 3 coats. The paints were a nice color though number 70 is lighter than expected. It was personally just my experience though. Paint worked well. ------------------------------ You have to wait 1-2 weeks to get your pottery painting. I did something like this in my home country as well. I don't recommend doing this if you have no experience with painting or painting 3d objects. The vibes of the place were nice and I didn't feel rushed. Overall the experience was fun. It's an experience you should try atleast once. It's great for dates or family time. read more

Color Me Mine - inside - Paint-Your-Own Pottery Near Me - Cypress, Texas

My daughter and I had an amazing time! Received a text exactly when they said, about 7 days after.

I love pottery painting, so I took my niece for a day out! The place has a variety of pottery to paint, so we picked ours (a sugar bowl and a spider-man piggy bank). We both took a seat and picked out our 4-5 colors. The workers were really friendly and I enjoyed their customer service. We picked our pieces up after a few days and they look awesome! One recommendation is to ask for a bowl or paint if you have a big area to paint. It is so much faster than waiting for someone to get you paint. Also, it seems like there are groupons often for this place, I would recommend picking one up or it can be pricey. For the 2 of us to paint, it cost us $78 bucks without a groupon. The groupons were sold out when we went. read more

I love places like this! It was so much fun to hang out and paint and talk with my friends. It does take a while to paint depending on how intricate you get so make sure you plan for it taking at least 2+hours. The prices were a little steep but they weren't that bad. The employees were super helpful and answered all our painting questions!! Great vibes all around, fun to do on a rainy day! read more

Such a fun place! All the girls working there were so nice & attentive! I will definitely be back!

Awesome place to be creative. You choose what to paint then choose the colors & have fun!

Love this place!! Great for dates or just to have fun with family and the stuff is amazing

For a moment, imagine any given experience at the DMV/DPS. Then try to imagine the polar opposite of that. Your mind's eye has just arrived at Color Me Mine. We came here for the evening on Valentine's Day. It's actually an ideal date spot for just about every couple, from high school kids who are "just talking," to newlyweds and beyond. You've got an immediate talking point of figuring out what to paint, and then as you work you've got the convenience of something that demands focus, which minimizes potentially awkward silent periods while simultaneously acting as a catalyst for collaboration. I don't know of another place where people are this happy, helpful, and genuine at work, and why should they be? They live to create stuff and help other people create stuff on a daily basis! read more

My boyfriend and I tried out this place because we got a groupon deal. It was really fun and a fun chill activity. It was great to choose from their wide variety of pieces. The workers there were really friendly and they helped us out a lot. They would refill our paints and get us new water. I enjoyed this experience and so did my bf. We definitely will be back soon. read more

Wonderful experience, service, everything!!! My husband, our friend and I enjoyed being there!!!! Waiting for our little collaborative Sugar Skull mug to be glazed and put in the kiln!! :D read more

Pros: -Service was excellent. -The ladies there were extremely friendly and helpful. -Great Disney and other children's music playing in the background. Cons: -WAAAAY overpriced for the pieces. I get it, they have to make money somehow, but I paid almost $140 for 4 kids to paint pottery! -As I was signing my receipt, I noticed a "Tip" line on the receipt. Ummm, nope. Sorry, service was excellent, but I know they make more than $2.13/hour (like most servers in Texas). That's part of your job. -We won't be back. read more

Fun activity for the family. A bit pricey but the service was very friendly and accommodating. They even help out struggling artists with ideas or correcting mistakes. All materials are available so you have plenty of tools to make your item special. Definitely recommend for a fun activity once in a while. read more

The concept is great and great fun as a family activity. I agree with that part. Unfortunately, I also agree with the customer service negative comments. I was there on a Wednesday afternoon, and the person who helped us was more interested in painting her own piece in the corner than to guide us through the process... we didn't feel welcomed at all. We didn't have a specific issue with her, other than feeling that we were intruding in her personal time. We will most likely try this sort of family activity that we like at a different store. 2/6/20 Thank you so much for replying to previous my 2-star review. While I appreciate that you don't want to intrude and hover while the customers are painting, this should be well-balanced with being helpful and attentive, particularly if it is the customers' first time... My comments were directed to that staff member's attitude... she felt intruded upon when we asked a question, therefore my comment: "we didn't feel welcomed at all". I am sure other members of your staff who work a different schedule are friendlier and more patient. I thought it important for you to get this feedback because customer service and a welcoming attitude makes a difference to every business and every customer. Thank you for taking the time to read. read more

My daughter and I visited CMM while attending a friend's birthday party and were very impressed. It's not a huge place, but it has a nice little birthday room in the back and is the perfect way to celebrate a little girl's birthday. Each child got to pick out and paint their own pottery as part of the party. My daughter and the other kids had a blast. It's definitely a fun place to have a kids party or just to have a day's activity. Would go back again. read more
