We had SO much fun. I had been wanting to try pottery for years now and my husband and I finally got to try it out. The owners /instructors were very first timer friendly (she did explain very quickly so pay attention). You get to choose from 8 different things to make and they help you through every step. It is a 4 week process though. You come in to throw your piece of work and then you have to go back 2 weeks after to paint and fire your works of art! I'm so hooked now I want to sign up for their classes! Come wearing cloths you don't mind getting dirty and with a group of friends or solo! Was our first time doing pottery here and it will be our last time going here, wasn't given clear instructions on how long they would hold our items nor was it mentioned only that it would be ready in 2 weeks, It did take use a while to get them due to some of us going to college and working at the same time and hour wise was told to put my name down only for them to be under a different name. I came here hoping for a painting class or experience for my mom's birthday. We walked in and it seemed like just an extension of someone's house. I asked the first woman if we could paint and she said we don't do that and grabbed the lady in the back who was in the middle of a pottery class and just left. Then the pottery lady said sorry she has to go pick up her daughter at the airport but what did you need? I explained we weren't there for a pottery class and wanted to paint. She showed us two options we could choose from, a tiny 2 inch vase for $25 or another larger one for $45 and about 12 colors to choose from. Meanwhile I could see the people in the pottery class were just left waiting. We ended up leaving. But Def would never return. They should have it specified as just a pottery place. read more

Awesome pottery experience, instructor was very kind and helpful, created numerous pieces for the first time doing pottery.

The person that helped my grand daughter turn the pottery. Very patient. However, when we returned the following week, we ran close to an hour, painting. The schedule posted calls for an hour and a half. But, we were kind of rushed to close it out at the hour mark. We got it done, but we hate being rushed. read more

Creativity is a form of worship, y'all. Had so much fun being creative at this studio! We came here with a Groupon deal. We arrived at 5 pm, and because of some other cancellations, my roommate and I had the owner and the studio to ourselves! The studio was clean, well lit, and spacious. Sherry was extremely kind, helpful, and versatile. She adapted the pottery throwing to my skill level (somewhere below beginner) and my roomie's (she had some experience in high school). I loved how both pieces came out! We had the opportunity to throw 2 pieces, and then choose which one we wanted to keep at the end (to keep both, there is another cost). Sherry took plenty of photos wth us and our creations. It'll take about a week or so for the pottery to be ready, and I can't wait to pick up my creations. My daughter and I met two of my friends there for a group experience. We all threw 3 pieces each on the pottery wheel in the two hours we were there. This is not your everyday paint your pottery studio. You actually throw and mold the clay on the pottery wheel and create the piece yourself with or without the help of Ellie depending on your artistic level. We finished our pieces today, wait for them to cook in the kiln for 10 days and then glaze them with clear glaze or colored glaze. After that, they cook in the kiln for another high fire . Voila! Disappointing! Don't go here to learn pottery. The pottery teacher, Sherri, does not know how to teach. I was terribly frustrated five minutes in. She put us on wheels with less then five minutes of a demonstration, and walked away to work with a painter in another part of the large studio. She was critical when our attempts messed up the clay and wrote that off as one of the three pieces we were told we would take home. I spent over twenty minutes of my quoted two hours simply waiting for a slab of clay to use. After no instruction, sitting 20 minutes waiting for supplies, being dismissed 30 minutes early from two hours of quoted class time instruction, I left with no peices, no knowledge and great frustration. read more

LOVED our experience here. My friend and I went because she was in town and we wanted to do something new. We were taught how to work pottery on the wheel, shown one on one, and then were able to create two pieces of our choice. We love every second of it!!
