Amazing Pastries and friendly service! We were in town from Texas and they walked us through what each one was. So good! Not as sweet at Texas, Mexico, or French pastries which made them excellent!

They were open for Thanksgiving and had the best pies I've ever had. The lady working the cash register was so sweet and was helping me pick up a couple pies for thanksgiving because I didn't grab any the day before. They are an exceptional bakery and I recommend them a million times over!!!!!

This is an awesome Portuguese Bakery. The service was anything but friendly, but the treats are delicious. My top three would be the sweet bread, the doughboys, and these delicious mini custard pies that they have. I have eaten treats from here a lot and the are always reliable, nothing is ever stale or not fresh. If you go first thing in the morning most of your pastries will still be hot. Parking is easy on the street or I think they also have their own lot.

Nata is a Portuguese pastry that will guarantee obsession!

I immediately fell in love with this spot. However it was not close to my college and i kind of forgot about it. Fast forward to 2019, when i was brought here for breakfast. I was taken aback that this was the very spot i had went to and loved long ago! I frequented here between 2019 and 2022 when living up in Lincoln, and loved every visit. Today i was disappointed. While it still looked beautiful and was stocked with local books and gifts, the service was not what it used to be, nor was the food and beverage. I had several employees walk by me while I waited at the counter. Nobody said I'll be with you shortly or someone will be right over. They just walked by. This went on for several minutes. My tiny latte was more than $7. I drink a lot of coffee and this was very disappointing. It was watery and lacked flavor. I was walking around sipping on it and taking photos, and missed hearing my name called for my breakfast sandwich. There was a bag on the to go spot, so i asked if it was mine. The guy opened the bag, looked in and was like looks like it might be egg on a croissant and handed it to me. I was very underwhelmed. I only knocked one star off my rating because any business could have an off day. I've had so many great experiences in the past, but today was definitely a let down. If i go back again, i hope it will be an all around better experience!

They have many other amazing pastries, breads and cakes. I have never been disappointed. The staff always patient and helpful despite how busy they are. As this is also a dairy, they have available their milk. The maple milk (available in small bottles) is remarkably fresh and flavorful - highly recommend. Their ice cream is also available to take out. In the warmer parts of the year there is an onsite ice cream stand run outside in an old camper - charming! They do custom cakes and orders, handled in an office onsite. Plenty of parking. They also have a self guided tour of the dairy operation.

Finally he suggested he ask someone with more experience and she said she could fit the 5 names on!!! Yay! While I did greatly appreciate that they use ceramic mugs instead of paper if you choose, I was disappointed in how it almost cost $10 for a nondairy latte. The second time I went I ordered a chai latte and found out they use the mix instead of making it from chai tea. Disappointing from a place that demands premium pricing. I ordered a chai tea instead and the water was so hot I had to order ice. I was with a little kid who also got a chai and disappointed they didn't offer that to him and instead gave me what I consider scalding hot water in a cup with a tea bag. Staff was friendly. I went to Unlikely Story in Plainville and got a chai latte made from real tea with almond milk under $6 last week. So again the prices at this Bakery are premium. I am willing to pay for premium if that is what I am getting and while the first time I got a latte it was tasty but I still am disappointed at the price point. The second time I went I sat at the bar in front of the espresso machine and was grossed out at how dusty the top of the machine is... because they have their to-stay mugs upside down on top of it. There was a layer of dust and there were dust bunnies hanging off it in my direction. There was a bit of dried splattered milk on it too. Basically, they need to clean that and it was not the type of dust that was just there for a week. Got a scone that I wasn't sure was either day old or overcooked either way I needed a sip of tea to get it down and I did not finish it because it just wasn't that great. Pretty sure the scone was over $5. While I want so badly to support a small business like theirs I don't think I will be back until I know they clean the machine more frequently.

Chocolate - I got a half lb for $10.00 and had well over 12 pieces to bring to my event. The chocolates were very good and well received. I recommend the white chocolate/ raspberry one. It was different and nice. Cupcakes- I ordered a lemonade cupcake and peach amaretto cupcake, just on a whim to taste their cakes. They use a heavy frosting that I didn't love and the cake was dry. It was the end of the day, so perhaps they had been sitting out all day but for a first time buyer, that's not good. I love cupcakes and have pretty high standards and I will not be ordering cupcakes from Dyane's. Candy - if you are looking for a place to get original homemade treats for an Easter Basket. I cannot have eggs or dairy but saw on the label of Boscoitos that there were none of these. So I was excited to be able to eat them, to remind me of my childhood. She said while rolling her eyes at me they will be changing the label soon to include eggs. Strange. Then she said the Biscoitos had butter in them even though the label said margarine. Then she said no it's margarine. So I asked if the cornbread had margarine in it instead of butter. She rolled her eyes and said she would ask in the back. When she came back said it was yellow butter. I asked if that was margarine. She said she only sells the bread but doesn't know what's in them. I have dealt with language barriers but not only was the information unclear, non consistent, but the eye rolling and rushed non answers were unacceptable. I won't be spending my money here.
