Amazon Fresh - North Hollywood we meet again!…read more Often my go to Fresh in L.A.'s San Fernando Valley, though the location in Encino is much closer, I typically find most things I'm looking for here at great deals or reasonable prices. Service is sensational on the floor, in various departments and at check out. Typically they might have a greeter in front, though they had nobody here on New Year's Eve. A little disappointed in the reduction of vegan friendly pre-made meals as well as the hot bar, salad bar and some of the product placement. It took me forever to find crackers!! Not in the snack isle... But near the cookies and a few other items across from the last row of cold stuff, in the fridges. Typically Prime members (of Amazon) save more, but my total was exactly the same when I entered my number... Veggie Egg Rolls are vegan here and had I not been in the mood for much lighter, less fried eats, I would've gotten some... Though I've had them in the past. Hot Bar and Salad Bar are all pay/lbs which can be costly, though very similar to their partner Whole Foods. Great selection of frozen goods, spirits, produce, home goods, dairy as well as non-dairy products + more! Easy parking in the neighborhood, but even more so with their parking garage with Elevators to inside the store. Located on Lankershim Blvd/Ostego Street w/ a small outdoor patio that's accessible when the weather is less rain heavy.

The dressing room is spacious enough and has a built-in drop-off closet for them to add more items and a screen with your name and suggested fits for you. The girl at the check-out desk, her name was unique, was extremely patient and attentive. She gave us excellent customer service and answered all of our questions. Upon entering the the store we were greeted by a store associate who explained the store concept and we were up and running in no time. One of the frustrating aspects of shopping for clothes is finding the right size and color which usually requires tracking down a store associate. Most of the browsing experience is done by scanning QR codes on the items and adding to your fitting room virtually using the Amazon app. Once you are done making your selections you get a notification for your room number which takes 5-10 minutes and you can automatically unlock your room and be delighted with not only the items you picked but additional selections Amazon made based on your style preferences. The fitting room has ample space and one of the unique features is a giant tablet which includes all of your selected items as well as additional recommendations you can select to be delivered directly to your fitting room. No more waiting for an associate to check in with you for additional size or colors, you can manage all of this with the tablet! The additional items are delivered via a magic closet in no time. The experience in the fitting room is immersive and engaging, as you try on new items and see additional recommendations as the algorithm gets to know you better. I spent 20-30 minutes in the fitting room and walked out with a few of the items I had selected in addition to an item that was recommended to me with pinpoint accuracy. The checkout experience was simple as I was able to use the Amazon Palm technology to pay. Will definitely be back in the future and hope to see this model of shopping adopted more widely. Thank you Amazon.

There was plenty of parking, curbside pick up spots and everything we needed - including a customer service area to do our Amazon returns! They're expected to close on March 13, 2026, and have discounted some of their merch. I'm sure as we approach closer to the date, the larger the discount will be along with the amount of SKUs. Rumor is a Whole Foods will take place of this location. For the budget friendly people, this location will be such a loss as prices at Whole Foods comes at a premium. Going to miss this place, but welcome a Whole Foods any time. Hoping there's a bar and food like the other location on Ventura in Sherman Oaks called Sherman Hops with a wide selection of craft beer but not sure if it's possible because of the footprint. Here's to hoping!

But I couldn't find several ingredients I needed to buy, which is unfortunate since I would rather park and go to one store! I couldn't find a specific brand of liquid seasoning, there isn't pork belly, and the seafood section was really only shrimp, frozen fish fillets, and salmon. Only Asian noodles I came across were all Maruchan products. So yeah. I hope there's more products in the future here to really make someone do all their grocery shopping neede here! Parking lot can be very busy on certain times of day but it's a handy lot with different businesses for different needs nearby (bank, coffee, pharmacy, etc).

I am saddened to announce that as of March 13, 2026, Amazon Fresh has shuttered its doors…read morepermanently :( As mentioned in my previous review, this store wasn't perfect and had room for a lot of improvement, but it was a godsend for a quick stop, definitely beating the neighborhood liquor store or the 7-11 by a long mile for pricing and selection and ambiance, and beating Ralphs & Whole Foods on the price and the crowds. Apparently Amazon has decided that this retail business model is not profitable enough and they want to focus on grocery deliveries (where you have to pay a delivery fee or buy a monthly subscription) and to expand their Whole Foods presence. All Amazon Fresh stores are now permanently closed and some will be converted to Whole Foods. Except in Porter Ranch we already have a Whole Foods about a mile down the street at Rinaldi and Porter Ranch Drive... I hope this Amazon Fresh location does not become an abandoned haunted house (store).

The ease of going in and out, for anything you desire (if they have it), is commendable. Gone are the days of high prices, where fruits and vegetables are concerned. Meats are another story. Let us not go there. I don't know if you are aware, but a while back there was an extensive internet evaluation of potato chips, by experts, and the product from Amazon Fresh (which was hard to get due to the high demand), was voted #1. So this place has its virtues. This time, I was interested in their freshly made pizza. The grilled vegetables selection, was made fresh for me in about 10 minutes. It was huge, must have been an Xtra Large, for only $8.99. I had the choice to get it sliced into 8 or 12 pieces, I chose the latter. The pizza has a thin crust (my favorite), a no-stingy distribution of vegetables and an absence of an overdose of cheese. Actually, just the way I like it, when I am ready to forget about calories, the possibility of weight gain, and guilt. My to go pizza was prepared by Rosa, who also provided high class, behind the counter customer service. And yes, the pizza was still flavorful with taste and texture on the day of pick up and both one and two days later.

Was in the store for its opening and got talking with the corporate marketing manager. Told him that this was the 3rd market at this location, Alpha Beta, Bristol Farms, and them. They all failed, real short life spans, cuz of location and market demand. Within a 2 mile area you have at least 6 markets and add to it mom and pop deli's. They also offer a small discount on certain items for Amazon Prime members. This particular location has always been clean, organized, and well stocked. I've always liked the fact that Amazon Fresh gives you the option to shop with Amazon Dash Carts (smart carts), which let you skip the checkout lines. You sign into the cart with your Amazon account, add items as you shop, and the cart automatically tracks your total cost. This location also has a Krispy Kreme, so you can grab some tasty donuts while you shop! The employees at this location have always been friendly and welcoming. You scan your code in the Amazon app as you enter or you can swipe your hand if you have this feature enabled in your account or scan credit card as just walk out with your purchase. I love $8 warm Cuban sandwich, $2.99 kombucha fountain and $2.99 Stumptown nitro iced coffee fountain. The pricing for food and drinks seems to be a good value (craft coffee for $2.99?!). Tip is not requested like other coffee shops for just ringing you up. This experience is refreshing and stress free with no cringe tip factor upon exiting. This Amazon Go location has no parking or it does, but other people at surrounding businesses park in them. I don't think they tow cars for parking in customer spots. The reason why I know? The Amazon Go store was completely empty of customers and employees. I picked up a Primo Donuts tiger tail and Stumptown Coffee Nitro on draft and walked out in 4 minutes according to the Amazon app. For those that need the employee interaction, this store is not for you. Most of the time the ice cream is cheaper than that of Whole Foods, etc for the same product. I find random deals. Last time I was there, some hummus was only a dollar and change.
