I love the cute little shop and the friendly older gentlemen who run it. The coffee is great, and the pastries are acceptable. I tried the CORNETTO, plain and nutella filled. The pastry itself has a lot of potential, with soft flaky layers and clearly very fresh. But it left a film on the top of my mouth, similar to what I get when I eat an extremely sugary cereal. That was weird. I also tried a few of their later in the day case offerings like a fried risotto/cheese ball, fried potato thing, a meat stuffed ball of rice and a few others. All of these were a bit underwhelming. Great for a fast snack if you need it. But we took it home and reheated in the oven and it just wasn't that good. 5 stars for the coffee and service, though. read more

This was our "go to" spot for gelato, wine and pastries during our recent visit to Positano. If there was any downside, it was that they only take Euros so know before you go that cash is king at least on the shop side. They also have a restaurant across the street but we didn't stop in there. And even though there is a bit of a language challenge as my Italian is terrible and most of the workers speak only a little English, you are able to get what you want with pointing and other hand gestures. I think the 4th star is for the custard filled croissant that I bought there. I am sure it had a million calories but that decadent delight still has me thinking about it. The location is super easy to find too as it is right off the main street tucked in between all the clothing and souvenir shops. Stop in and have a gelato. You deserve it! read more

We visited Collina everyday of our 4 day visit to Positano. The first day for a café, the next for cappuccinos and croissants, the next day we for a few beers for the beach and later stoped for an iced coffee and our final morning for pastries and cappuccinos to go. While the gelato is good, the restaurant is horrible. My wife and I went there on our last night of our two week Italian vacation for an easy, no fuss meal. We ordered a pizza and tagliatelle bolognese. The pasta was the worst we've had on our entire trip. We didn't eat it and the waiter asked if we liked the pasta. When we said we did not, he proceed to yell at us and would not allow us to speak. I had to get up in the middle of his yelling to speak with the owner. The issue then became about how we were being accosted more than the horrible pasta. It was the worst pasta we'd had in two weeks (florence, montepulciano, montalcino, pienza, Positano) If you want good food, don't go here. This is a great place for coffee with American sized cups! And the pastries are incredible. The chocolate croissant is a work of art. Also had the gelato daily. My fav was the Medium cup combo of vanilla and lemon. Service is friendly and prices are reasonable. read more

Collina was the worst experience I had in Italy. They should have went with the Chef Boyardee! Environment: Wife and I were walking along checking menus as we passed resteraunts and felt that Collina had a great environment and a decent menu. Had peaceful outside seating, surrounded by beautiful flowers and conveniently located in the middle of town. Menu: The menu looked promising and had a variety of Italian cuisine. The average meal was 15€, which is expected in Positano. We noticed that Calamari and other fried seafood had a marked next to them in the menu, which meant they were frozen (Didn't feel like Olive Garden quality). When I began to look at the pizza menu our waitress came by to tell us that pizza is unavailable today (bummer). I end up ordering the raviolis since I haven't tried any during in Italy, so I gave it a shot! Service: Beautiful place located in an amazing city, but the 4 servers on staff all looked as if they hated their jobs and were not excited to be working. Our waitress just gave us a stale face and had no personality. I watched other tables with different servers and saw the same reactions/facial expressions. The servers would return to the bar and seemed to snicker like school girls about different tables/people. It completely ruined the vibe our lunch unfortunately. Food: I have had better canned Chef Boyardee raviolis. The presentation was lacking, as if they flopped a fresh can of raviolis on my plate and walked it out to our table. The sauce was a bit cold and had no flavor at all. TL/DR: I would recommend a resteraunt a little further up the road or stopped by a supermarket. Wandered in here by accident when I was hunting for some Limoncello to take home as a souvenir when I stumbled on the best gelato Positano had to offer. I had the strawberry, chocolate and pistachio. The strawberry tasted like real strawberries and the pistachio left the perfect amount of nuttiness. Go here for your gelato fix and skip the shops below. They also had a lot of other delicious looking desserts. I will be back! read more

A small cozy bakery, catering and ice cream sales. Yes - it sounds like a fun mix, and that was it really well. just 50 meters longer than the baker's shop, they have their restaurant, or rather terrace, the staff was very mixed, you could clearly label those who like'd the job, and you as clearly feel those who thought "when is it time, so I can get home". We shared a Caprese and a pizza, both something you should be able to master in Italian cuisine, and it was also ok, but not extraordinary. By contrast, their ice cream for dessert was really good - it was actually extremely good. If I alone were to judge the ice would get 4 stars (with an upward arrow), but when it all was a mixture of indifference and standard mixed with an exquisite dessert I can not give more than 3 stars - my advice to others is: eat your food somewhere else, but eat dessert here! read more

There is a bakery and across the street there is a sit down restaurant. We went to the restaurant for dinner. (There is also a take out option and not sit in.) They have a decent selection, and it's a solid choice if you are looking for a place to eat in the area. Great location near the stores and a short walk from the beach! read more

Came here for a late lunch and sure glad we did. Fantastic pizza and ravioli. The gelato was wonderful as well. Wait staff was attentive and very friendly to us English speaking tourists. Definitely recommend and we will return for sure! read more
