Carbaobro Spaghetti

Easy and relaxing place to eat lunch and the food was really good. The mai tai was awesome! And the servings are big - so you won't leave hungry. Great place to get some shade and enjoy good food and a chill vibe.

We stumbled on to this restaurant on our walk down to the beach of Positano. Moderately priced dishes were very appealing and also the outside seating with misters a must in a hot day. We ordered the squid pasta, a couple of pizzas and a pasta dish. All were very good. Their service was prompt. The only thing I didn't like is the free for all smoking outside. I don't like to eat and smell smoke at the same time. It must be a European thing. Other than that, it's a must try.

We stopped here for a quick lunch while on an Amalfi Coast tour. On a Friday around 12:30, they were busy. A good selection of sandwiches and pizza/flatbread slices. Also, desserts/pastries and coffee were on the menu. For takeaway or to eat in the front area at the standing tables, you order and pay at counter and take your receipt to the front where they will heat up your food. We ordered a couple of flatbread slices-Salami/Mozzarella (can't remember the name) and La Campagnola (spinach and sausage) and a Serrano Ham/Mozzarella sandwich. Simple ingredients that came together nicely and both the sandwich and flatbread slices were tasty. Service was friendly and quick which came in handy as we had a short lunch break from our tour. Solid spot for lunch in Positano.

Snacking.. Italian style cause we can never get just one snack :)

Lattes & lemons!! Amalfi coast is breathtaking no matter how many times you've been. But also walking down those stairs from up above to the beach is a hike unless you came on a boat directly to the marina. Either way, this place is up above! Great views and great local desserts. I wasn't particularly hungry or looking for food when I came here. Rather a latte but after seeing their display case full of fresh baked goodies and the menu with food, I couldn't resist! Plus their patio is so inviting without being crowded. It was a fun stop. When you're in positano, amalfi: lemons! Lemons are everywhere and you have to have something with lemons. They had lemon sorbet, lemon cakes! And of course my favorites: all things pistachio and panna cotta. It was hard narrowing down what to taste! I also got some of their pizza/ mainly because of the tomatoes! They may look the same but they aren't. One has cherry tomatoes and one has local tomatoes: giant and sweet. Both simple with olive oil just like I love it. The lattes were the most expensive part of this little afternoon pick me up. All the cakes are €5 each, which is beyond reasonable especially this part of town/ coast. Pizzas were around the same if I recall correctly. And so are the lattes. I had 2 coffee, Cappuccino & Latte but I could've had more. It was perfectly strong! Now the cakes: the lemon tort was almost like a pavlova: crispy shell dome with creamy filling inside. It was tart and delicious. My panna cotta was infused with espresso. Don't mind if I do! It's my all time favorite: childhood and in an adulthood. Great views, great patios and some of my favorite Italian treats. I'm definitely coming back if I come back here by car. By boat, it'll be a huge hike up. But almost worth it for their panna cotta and pizza!!!

The food, the service, the atmosphere made La Zagara an excellent choice. The desserts out front lured us in. The atmosphere made us have a seat and have dinner. Go! You will be happy you did!

Service was very slow. The table next to ours was seated ~5-10mins after we were seated and received t their food before us. Waited 28 mins before water was provided. Had to ask waiter 3 times for water. Food was mediocre.

Cream filled croissants are delicious

I've read some complaints about the slow service but I think it's a cultural thing. If you want quick service there is an option to order at the counter. But once you sit down, you should get ready to enjoy a long and leisurely meal. Yes it's a bit more expensive but it's located in the center of Piazza dei Mulini and just a short stroll to the main beach so you shouldn't be surprised to pay a little bit more. The pastries were delicious. Our favorites were the crispy and buttery cream filled croissants (especially the hazelnut cream). The cappuccinos were on point and if you want something a bit sweeter try the shaken coffee. It's like a super whipped afrogato. The other thing we love is the availability of fresh squeezed orange juice everywhere and this place was no exception. If you decide to dine in, the outdoor garden area is charming and beautiful. The staff, while not overtly friendly, are nice enough and have been consistent with getting you your food and drink and then leaving you alone until you are ready to pay by asking for the check.

Delicious sfogliatella was flakey and crunchy, stuffed with an amazing ricotta filling with orange peel.... so delicious! Rum ball was also good, light and fluffy. Get it with a drizzle of rum on top for soaking. *This review was part of a 10-day eating binge, I mean vacation with my mother. The summary here reflects both of our opinions*

Pizza and sandwich: 4 stars Pastry: 5 stars Seated area: 5 stars Located in Positano we found this place from a recommendation from a coworker. Mostly because of the pistachio cake she said was 'to die for'. With it being a humid day, the shaded and misting fans provided great respite from the humid weather. We order a slice of pizza and a meat and cheese sandwich. While being one of the first foods we had it was great but there were much better!

We were visiting Italy and wanted to try the special dessert of the region, the delizie di limone. I'd read about the lemon-soaked sponge cake before our trip and I was determined to find one. When I saw one calling my name in La Zagara's storefront window, I almost ran inside to get it! This little pastry shop has lots of tempting options. There's a place to sit but we opted to eat ours at the bar while enjoying a couple of espressos (and a limoncello). The friendly local behind the bar was a little gruff when we first came in but once my husband started speaking Italian to him, his face lit up -- and he insisted that we speak English so HE could practice! That's Italians for you: make a little effort and all of a sudden they are your best friends. This place is crammed with tourists during the busy season but check it out if you want a local pastry. So tasty!

A bar with a nice shady terrace out back. A good spot for an inexpensive lunch and a break from the sun in Positano. Be sure to get a half liter of the house wine. Like all Italian restaurants, you will need to ask for the check.

Little surprised with the reviews but maybe it's for other reasons. To me, this was the top bakery in Positano. We went here a few times for espressos/coffees and pastries. Both times I had the Cornettos which are basically croissants. I tried the pistachio and hazelnut cornettos. Not only are these very affordable, they are delicious. The hazelnut one tastes so real instead of the Nutella this country consumes. But as a pistachio junky, it was my favorite. Just real pistachio taste inside a fluffy pastry. Cornettos for the win.

Pistachio tiramisu: a little overly sweet, more of a regular funfetti cake flavor than pistachio.
Vivian C.

(Review purely based on pistachio tiramisu) Made a pit stop to grab some dessert; chose the pistachio tiramisu. Thought flavor was more funfetti cake instead of pistachio. Consistency was lovely, light and airy though and tiramisu decor very cute and pretty. Had a bunch more pastries and other desserts- will potentially be going back to try more. Service: quick, professional Space: relatively large pastry shop with seating are/garden cafe in the back. It is just off the main pathway down to the main beach of Positano. Price: comparable to all the pastry shops in the area.

The atmosphere is absolutely breathtaking, romantic, elegant, and uniquely Positano. Every detail was perfection. The service was flawless, warm, and incredibly attentive, but what truly made the night unforgettable was the legendary Maître D', who has been with La Sponda for 44 years. His charm, professionalism, and passion for hospitality elevated the entire experience and made us feel genuinely special. Then there were the roaming musicians, who have been at La Sponda for 33 years performing!! They transformed dinner into something straight out of a movie. The music floating through the candlelit restaurant created an energy and emotion that simply cannot be replicated. La Sponda is not just a restaurant, it is THE Positano experience.
