Obviously, this place is a tourist trap. There are no doubts about that. I wouldn't be surprised if everything in this small but very popular town wasn't a bit of a tourist trap. But having spent my whole life in touristy places, I get the grift. If you're not too picky, you can get away with not spending too much here. The don't really upcharge for water so you can still get a big bottle for about 2 Euro. Sodas and other drinks are about 5-8 Euro. Same can be said about the food. A plain bread/Danish thing runs at about 4 Euro but get into sandwiches and you're looking at like 10. There is quite a bit of seating, even at the coveted outdoors area. Lucky for us, we were able to snag a 4 top right away and sat eating with a fantastic view of the beach and ocean. read more

Their desserts were heavily advertised, so we stopped by to try. That was our mistake. Heavily advertised = tourist trap. We got a variety of desserts from the refrigerated case, such as a limoncello cake, strawberry cheesecake, pistachio mousse, etc. None were good unfortunately. They all tasted like they were several days old. There is a small outdoor area with a few tables overlooking the water, but the tables were mostly one- or two-person tables, and we were a group of four, so had to pick one of the bigger indoor tables. Maybe they are better for their gelatos or coffees? I don't know. I don't plan on coming back to find out. read more

Dropped in to cool off and have some gelato. They have free wi-fi too so that was a plus. It's cooler with a breeze on a hit day. Not a big selection but enough to get us through and cooled down while checking our messages. Plus great view of beach here. read more

Wonderful cafe!! My fiancé and I stepped in here during a stop in Positano during a CityWonders excursion we took. We sat outside and had a view of the beach. We ordered a panini and calzone to share. I also got a lemon drop martini and it was very good (and strong on the alcohol!). We came back again the next day as we took our own trip to the beach. We got coffees and a pastry. We again came back after the beach and enjoyed some ice cream, coffee, and an espresso martini (again, delicious and strong!). The cafe has great wifi connection and also provides various charging ports free of charge so you can charge your phone. read more

Paradise Cafe is wonderful. For having an incredible view of the water and beach from the patio, it's amazing how good the food, service and prices are. Finding soya milk has been a bit difficult in Positano but Paradise Cafe has it and gives you a generous amount for your tea. The barista also did an amazing job steaming soya for my Cafe latte. The cafe drinks are about 3 euros each unlike some of the other overpriced restaurants with the same view that charge 9 euros for a cafe. The service is so friendly and helpful. The indoor and outdoor seating are clean. The food and dessert options are easy on the eyes as well as absolutely delicious. A great place to grab pizza and beer or stop by for tea and dessert anytime during the day. We were in Positano for two days and visited this cafe for both days. I would recommend this place if you're looking for good food and good prices. If you want an upscale ambiance, then this place is not for you. read more

This was a nice/fun little suprise when we stumbled acrossed it in positano. It is much more than just a cafe with pastries and gelatto. They have a full bar, with local wines and Beers, and 4 big screen TVs to show all the local soccer matches. We went to Paradise a few times, one of the times Napoli was playing Florence in a soccer match and a bunch of locals were there. Even the local tourist who were visiting from Napoli or Sorrento were in there watching the game. (Napolie is little over 2 hours away) The view from the covered patio seating is pretty sweet. You can see the entire beach and ships out in the bay. Its a great little place to grab some Gelatto, pastries, or even a beer to watch the game. read more

My husband came here specifically for the gelato. We liked one flavor (pistachio), but two other flavors we had (lemon and another fruit one) were wayyy to sweet! It was a letdown for me; wished we went elsewhere for gelato. Also, service was OK. It was confusing at first how to go about ordering the gelato, as it was on the further end of the bar, but the staff just stared at us without greeting us, or asking us what we'd like to order. Outdoor seating was limited but decent. The view is nice, but it wasn't ideal that half the seats were still in the bright sunlight, and so it felt incredibly hot just sitting there. It was a bit hard to find; it's within the various shops, so if you're trying to enter from the beach like we did, you won't be able to. You'll have to walk up the shops to find the right area to enter from. I imagine you can find better gelato elsewhere. read more
