Kelly is a true professional Breeder that cares about every pup she breeds! In May 2016 I met Kelly when I rescued a half Yorkie half Brussels who was left at the vet and never picked up. Kelly as the Breeder was the emergency contact and paid the vet to rescue Pookie. She only asked for $450 for this darling 2 year old little girl to cover her vet costs to rescue her. Kelly picked me to have Pookie as I have a neutered male Brussels Griffon Rocco and she liked that I understood the breed. We have enjoyed Pookie so much and everything Kelly told me and followed up with me on was true. She said Pookie would be needy and follow u around everywhere plus try to sneak out with u when u get in car. Others found that annoying but I love it as she and Rocco are just a like! We have stayed in contact so in Feb early 2017 we picked out two Yorkie's each from a different litter - as both litters were born around the same time and available at 12 weeks. A darling little boy Axel who my 11 year old picked out is ours now whose dad was on site and Daddy Duke only weighed 2.5 pounds.Mom was 5 so we knew that he would be tiny as weighed only 1.6 then. My older son picked for his dads house as my ex agreed to get a new pet as lost his English bulldog recently, picked a Girl from the other "larger" litter named Harley now. She was 3.6 pounds and Kelly clearly stated that she would most likely at adult sized be 5 to 6 pounds and Axel between 3 to 4. Anyone who is looking at Kelly as a Breeder should know she has been doing this for over 20 years and the success and caring nature of her business is clear to me by her communication, follow up and truly knowledge the breed with HONESTY. Example: Kelly was concerned recently about the male we picked out - he had been snorting and that he should be vet checked right away. My boys and I had the afternoon free so offered to take him to her vet but could not get an appt until later in afternoon. The boys and her son, Kelly and I went to a yummy Vietnamese restaurant while we waited for Vet and I offered to pay, when I came out of restroom she had taken care of bill!! So nice! Vet said nothing wrong with Axel but that he has the reverse sneeze which I am used to because Rocco has it. She also dropped off at that time other puppies poop samples for fecal testing which to me is a responsible Breeder in more ways to highlight. Both puppies were seen by our vet here in Santa Rosa within the 7 days of contract in perfect health and given next round of vaccines. If your looking to purchase a Yorkie look no further and as with everything in life you get what you pay for. These are well cared for healthy pups that are sold usually by Kelly for pets but she does have some that are show quality and can breed but you gotta pay more if that's your desire and in reading the past reviews of unhappy owners it's clear they did not read the contract as she will work with anyone to make them happy along with guarantee if you follow contract which is a simple one. My pups have a lot of issues When I took the dogs to my vet, she informed me the dogs were given a lot of the vaccinations that were not needed, no longer required by California law, because they do more harm that good. Also the girl puppy has had problems with eating her own poop and not caring if she was peeing or pooing in her kennel even if you put her in for an hour. So I just came back from having a professional trainer had my two dogs for a week to get trained, and she told me that that happens when dogs are left in small cages and their feces not cleaned regularly when they are puppies... so I don't know what to think... I do remember that the girl puppy /Yorkie Biewer seemed to come from somewhere else, because Kelly called her mother or someone else to find out about the birth date, she didn't have the info there... The Biewer is A LOT bigger than what I was told it was going to be, she is double the size as the Yorkie, and Kelly said she was going to be a small dog, maybe a pound heavier than the boy. Also she has buck lower teeth... it looks weird, but if she is pure bread and from a good breeder, that should not happen. She looks like an Ewok from Star wars. I would not trust this "breeder" at all. You have no idea what you are getting from her. She gives you a couple of days to take the dog back: as if you will know in a couple of days that the dog will grow to look like something completely different than what she tells you it will be. And then a year to change your dog for another? really? it's not a car, you get attached to the dog and the dog to you - no matter what size or shape they turn out to be. I payed top dollar for what looks to be a mutt (the Biewer), and the normal Yorkie has tons of skin and allergy problems. read more

My husband found Kelly online. He texted her and she called him back and screened him. Asking him why he wanted a puppy. and other questions and information. It was obvious she wanted to make sure her puppies go to good homes for the right reasons. I picked up our little Leia the next day after signing papers and more info from Kelly. We have never been puppy owners before and didn't really know what to expect. So I have followed all of Kelly's instructions. I took her stool sample in to be tested and it came back negative. I purchased my Lola a few months ago from Collier Ranch. I am not exactly sure why there are so many bad reviews. Kelly was very welcoming to me and let me see Lola and hold her. The thing people dont understand is these puppys are super fragile because of their size. I ran into the same problem with my Teacup Maltese that I did with Lola, the dogs are in a new environment and now is all by her self. My Maltese would not eat either and was losing weight. I took her to the vet and they helped me get her well. I sent a picture of Lola to Kelly and she immediately told me that her eyes did not look well. She drove to meet me half way at 9:00 at night, she brought me medicine and checked her out. She has been ok ever since. I am very pleased with my dog and she is a spitfire with a great personality. I am sorry other people on here feel otherwise about this breeder. However, I truly believe if a breeder was a scam artist or heartless, they would be like that with everyone. There are only two times I write reviews, it is when I am extremely pleased or extremely disappointed. This is one the time I am extremely pleased, Kelly continued to check on Lola, and I can tell she truly loves the dogs and is particular of who she sells them to. I posted a review back in 2013 and have since taken it down because it turned into a convoluted mess of replies, rebuttals, etc. So I am writing a new and updated one. The Yorkie that I bought from Collier Ranch is now almost 11 years old. He's been an awesome dog. He's incredibly affectionate and we are so lucky to have him as part of our family. We did have some issues with his purchase in that when we sent in his paperwork and the money to register him a few months after I got him, I received a letter back from the AKC stating that they could not confirm his lineage and therefore revoked his AKC status. The registration money I spent was not refunded. We also never got the refund after having the dog neutered. Mailed the paperwork and copy of the vet's certificate to Collier Ranch and never heard back. And, before anyone jumps all over me, Collier Ranch did offer to rectify the issue a couple years ago. So I appreciate that. Our biggest challenge with our dog is allergies. Once again, I'm not writing to be negative here. I'm just writing to be informative and hopefully to educate since we have 9 years experience dealing with dermatology vets, shots, sublingual therapies, shampoos, air cleaners, and well, you name it. Not all allergies are food related. Our dog's allergies (Atopic Dermatitis) are environmental. He is allergic to grass, pollen, dust, fragrances, animal/human dander, etc. The allergies are typically genetic and can also be related to over-vaccinating dogs at a very young age. We've also had issues with bladder stones and surgery for bladder stones. I do understand that over time, certain genetic traits get "bred out" of lineages and I'm sure that has happened over the years since I got my dog. Now I know that most (if not all) breeders have a return policy. I get that. But if you are an animal lover like me and have a heart at all, you'll fall instantly in love with one of these puppies. And, after that, how could you give them back? That was something I could not do. So again, this review is not to bash the breeder, but to remind the person(s) who want one of these absolutely adorable creatures as part of their family to take it seriously and know that Yorkies have a potential lifespan of 15 years (hopefully more). Make sure you're ready for that BEFORE you commit to getting a dog. I've seen to many pure bred dogs up for adoption that were turned in because they have issues and the people that owned them didn't want to deal with the issues or could not afford to. read more

Wanted to update how well my Yorkie is doing that I purchased last February from Collier Ranch. She is so beautiful and very healthy! We love our little Tiny so much. She will be a year old in September. She is lively, playful, and very active. We followed all of the instructions that Kelly gave us and she is perfect. Before Tiny I had another Yorkie from a different breeder who was so sickly her whole life. It was heart breaking. So I took a chance with Kelly and I am sure glad I did. I have to say that the experience of purchasing a Yorkshire puppy is a daunting one. I have been looking for my furry best friend for 3 years. I had to determine what breed I wanted first and since I am allergic to dogs and cats, it really limited the selection. I know that I wanted a dog that was small enough to carry w/ me everywhere and be comfortable in an apartment, hypoallergenic and of course beautiful. Finally, I decided that a Yorkshire terrier would be the way to go. I have met and spoke w/ several breeders in the north bay. Of the top ten criteria that I had, Kelly Collier was the only one that met all my criteria and more. Here is the list of things that I needed: (1) I wanted a female Yorkie ( this probably the hardest thing since they are probably the first to be sold), (2) A Yorkie w/ no health issues, (3) I wanted a Yorkie that was on the smaller side (not a teacup b/c there is no such thing), (4) A beautiful doll face, (5) Intelligent and trainable, Yorkies are known to be difficult to house train, so I wanted a puppy that had it pretty much covered, (6) Socialized enough to be comfortable with various noises and situations, (7) Non-agressive, i.e. food guarding issues, (8) A Yorkie that wanted to interact w/ me, some say that a male tends to bond more w/ it's owner, (9) A breeder that had a lot of knowledge of the breed and recommended sources and supplies (list) , b/c getting a puppy is similar to welcoming a newborn, and I wanted someone that had the patience and time to get me prepared, (10) And the most important thing was that I felt comfortable enough w/ the breeder, so that in the future I could call the person and ask what to do if there was any concerns. I happy to say that Kelly more than met all of concerns and criterion. As of today, Gypsy ( the name of my Yorkie) is 100% healthy and happy. She is adjusting beautifully. She is 14 1/2 weeks and she is getting her 4th and final immunization vaccine. I have already taken her with me to San Francisco when I had my hair appointment, and even though there was chattering and hair dryers on, she did not get frightened. She behaved wonderfully and everyone thought she had the most beautiful little face. Even though she is too little to take outside, I have been training her indoors. My Boyfriend and I got our healthy biewer puppy from Kelly C. It's our first time owning a dog and we were a bit hesitant due to lack of experience. But Kelly made the entire process smooth, she gave us all the information and answered all our questions. We really appreciate how she went out of her way to help us out even after the purchase, and received all the proper documents together with the dog. Before i forget to mention, the few times we went to check the puppies, we're really surprise to see how neat and odor less they're maintaining the puppy area. My parents had a litter of AKC Yorkie puppies and Collier Ranch called us numerous of times, wanted us to sell the puppies to them at $700 each with AKC papers. They then will resell them at $1,000 or $1,500+. The last call they called us, and we refused to sell our puppies to them, the woman on the phone cursed and yelled at me. I wrote my initial review years ago. Since my first review, my dog has been in excellent health. She is curious and feisty and all unexpected vet expenses have been from her getting into trouble (burrs in the ears, skunks, etc.) Also, since my initial review, my mother bought a dog from Kelly. She saw my dog and when she wanted one of her own, she got it from Kelly. My mom purchased a Yorkie-Brussels Griffon mix. It is tiny (about 6.5 lbs) and looks like an ewok. We love her very much. I am writing because I would like to address some of the comments people have made against Kelly's personality. While I can not say I know her well, I have now been involved with the purchasing of two dogs from her, and have emailed her with questions about my dog. She has always been responsive and willing to help. Someone mentioned that they think Kelly is crazy because she seems distracted. I ran into her a few times at Valley Fair, and I admit she seemed frazzled, but I challenge anyone to deal with that madness without being distracted and confused. There were children everywhere trying to pet the dogs, curious people asking about the care required, others wanting pricing information. It is not an environment I would want to purchase a puppy in. I have also met Kelly at her home in Sunnyvale, and there she is calm and straight forward. It is an environment where she is not having to deal with a hundred things at once, and she will sit and chat about the dogs for hours. I just moved from Cali to va and before I did I brought both my dogs back to collier and she updated their vaccines and clipped my males nails for me because he won't let me do it, and he fights groomers as well . Our sweet little Bella was 3 years old on Valentine's Day. We have had nothing but pleasure from our experience obtaining and owning our healthy little Yorkie. It makes me sad to read some of these negative reviews and think that this could discourage perspective puppy buyers. We arrived to see a healthy litter of playful little pups. We were allowed to observe and hold them with no pressure until we made our choice. On the day we picked her up, Kelly and her daughter bathed her in front of us to show us the proper way to handle, clean ears and care for her. She reviewed her previous immunizations, sent us home with the records and provided the continuing series of shots. We were told that the puppies are treated as part of the family and even sleep with her daughter. I fell in love with our little girl when I picked her up and she she snuggled in my arms with a happy little sigh. We've hand our little Ringo for a month now and he is absolutely precious! Our three teenagers fell in love with him instantly and he's the prince of the house! He slept excellent from the first night in his kennel next to our bed and is ready to play and be fed when I get up. My husband and I walk him nightly and he had his first trip to the dog park today - which he loved! He's very excited after his bath and runs all around the house. In true form, KeIley is commenting on my post, on yet another holiday season. This time her comment states, "Update: I recently met Laura G again and she didnt even recognize me. Saw her dog and it is gorgeous and healthy !!! END of STORY". Well Kelley, my poor puppy has suffered from massive cluster seizures for the past few years. It's been horrible, in and out of emergency with thousands of dollars in vet bills. Most recently, we almost lost our poor pup. Slowly, he was eating less and less and then just stopped eating all. It was discovered that he had 3rd Degree Atrioventricular Block and would die within the next few days without a pacemaker. And yet you claim in your comment that you met a strong beautiful puppy?? Just stop Kelley! You need to find another line of work that does NOT involve the lives of animals. Any who has suffered the agony of watching the health of their animals decline, such as I have, my heart goes out to you. But this heartless monster needs to be stopped. NOTE: In order to respond to Kelley's lies, yet again, I have had to delete some of my comments below. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ THIS IS MY 4TH UPDATE (HOPEFULLY THE LAST) TO MY REVIEW OF COLLIER RANCH IN RESPONSE TO COMMENTS MADE BY THE BREEDER AGAIN THIS MONTH. I am really hoping that this is the last time I need to respond to your comments but I WILL continue to respond when you claim outright lies in response to what should have been a reasonable transaction. My response to Collier Ranch's Comments on my yelp review: 1) TO DATE I HAVE NEVER RECEIVED MY IMMUNIZATION RECORDS FROM COLLIER RANCH YORKIES. They were not available the day we bought our puppy. The breeder assumed we would have her do the follow up immunizations but I preferred to have my vet to them. When the Vet requested I obtain the original immunization records, Collier Ranch never did produced them, for whatever reason. 2) In Collier Ranch's Comment to my post, Kelley states something to the effect that she offered replacements, this is absolutely untrue. I never even was able to receive the first set of immunization I requested. 3) I did not forget my immunization records, they were never made available to me, even after several attempts on my part. 4) I have never been hostile to this person, I am a professional and believe in doing business as such. My Yelp review was just that, a review of my experience with this company. Her claim that I was ever hostile was absolutely untrue. I on the other hand have received threatening emails from her long after this business transaction was completed. The stalking and harassment is ridiculous at this point. 5) Kelley also forgot to mention how many time I asked to see the parents of my Yorkie Poo. I was told that one of them was out of state being bred :-/ and that the other was also not available for some strange reason. I would also state, carefully look at the tone and innuendo and inflection in each of the positive yelp comments listed for this breeder. I am sure you will find certain interesting "similarities". ALSO NOTE: ALMOST EVERY COMMENT LISTED HERE IS THE ONLY COMMENT MADE BY THAT YELPER??? Hmmm...I wonder why? Finally, I would like to say that it is very sad that I must continue justifying my yelp review for this breeder. It is over a year later and she continues to obsess over it. If you were to focus your efforts on your business ethic rather than spreading lies it would be a much more valuable use of your time and I am sure would pay off ten fold over review. ************************************************************************ I am writing my third update in response to comments from this breeder. I bought my little girl from here a while ago. She is great. the experience was nothing but positive. I am minusing a star because Kelly C who reviewed below me is the woman who runs the whole thing.
