I love this salon. It is my new lifetime salon, especially since I'm new to the area. Amanda is so skilled at her job!!!!! So, I cut off my long hair into a pixie. I grew it out for a few months, but couldn't wait through the sides getting long. I saw Amanda for a consultation for hair extensions and balayage. When I came back for the appointment, everything went perfectly. Amanda is so pleasant and wears extensions, so she was very knowledgeable and wanted me to look fantastic. She colored my hair to perfectly match the extensions. I had brought a picture to the consultation and my hair looks exactly like the picture. This was one of the best experiences I've ever had in a salon. I am now a lifetime client. I'll continue to wear extensions even after my hair is long again, in order to add volume to my fine hair. I went there on Saturday for a color and cut. I had my formula from my last salon in Seattle, Gene Juarez. They always do the roots a slightly darker color than the rest as I have white hair. The stylist was very nice but had to consult with another stylist regarding the color. My roots turned out very dark brown yet the other part is still the same light blond that I came in with. Also, the stylist was very timid like she had just gotten out of hair school and it took her forever to do my roots. They charged me $140.00 which is $20.00 more than the high end salon in Seattle. I feel if you are going to charge that amount of money, the stylist better be very, very experienced. I am highly disappointed since I had the formulas are from Gene Juarez and no matter who my stylist was at Gene Juarez, it always came out correctly. read more

I booked an appointment at this salon back in July asking to go blonde. I was originally a dark brunette and they completely fucked up my hair! I had asked for a half inch of light root and to be strawberry blonde. She gave me 3 inches of dark root, highlights and my hair was completely yellow! On top of that over the phone I was told it would be $180 and she charged me nearly $400 and didn't tell me until the very end!!!!!! I was so pissed I cried the whole hour and a half drive home!! Came here for a haircut with a wash, and blow dry and definitely will be back. I was worried about getting my haircut during COVID but I was definitely reassured. I sat in my car and called upon my arrival and they let me know Abigail was ready for me and I could come right in so no waiting in the salon. I was seated and Abigail was extremely friendly and delightful. She listened to what I wanted and made me feel very comfortable. I have dry skin and scalp and sometimes hair stylists make remarks that make me feel very self-conscious and Abigail didn't say a word and just made me feel very good about myself. I recently visited Body Bliss for a booked massage. First, I love the location. It is easily accessible from Main Street, as well as Capital Blvd and has a private parking lot so no worries about searching for a parking spot. It was the perfect calming setting for what I was looking for after a very busy Labor Day weekend. Now, for the fun stuff.... I was booked with Lisa for my massage. I am no newbie to massages. I was using someone else who sort of went MIA and out of the area, and had been looking for a new massage therapist. I am usually a 1x per month massage gal, and I was due! Luckily, I don't have any medical issues, I mainly use massage therapy to get the kinks out of my stress areas. Lisa, was inquisitive about what I wanted, needed, and talked about pressure, areas of attention, and then started my massage. I can tell you, hands down, this was THE best massage I have ever had in my life, period. The worst thing for me is not having enough pressure in a massage, and not only did Lisa give the right amount of pressure, but she was also very relaxing and thorough. It was exactly what I needed, and I couldn't wait to book my next massage with her. I didn't get a good impression when I first arrived. Two employees were eating in the reception area and the woman behind the register couldn't seem to find the right form for me to fill out. Thank goodness things went uphill from there. From the time Nikki took me into the mani/pedi room and closed the door, my bad first impression started to leave me. She gave me an excellent mani/pedi, the chair was comfortable and the selection of polishes was plentiful. Nikki was professional, sweet and did a great job on my nails. I left happy with my service and calm and peaceful. I was very excited for my appointment that was canceled and had to be rescheduled with a different stylist because my original stylist was sick. I wanted to dye my hair my natural root color, however, my stylist said we were unable to do that and we would have to go slightly darker which I understood. But my hair turned out completely different. It turned out very dark and completely uneven. While in the salon I didn't say anything because I didn't notice how my hair was darker, almost black, on the ends, and completely light at the roots and front pieces of my hair. read more

I saw Allison today and it was the worst experience I could ever imagine! After 3 and a half hours sitting there and paying $200 I walked out with the same color on my hair. She even needed to refer to the owner for guidance because she didn't know what to do. After she said I should've lightened my whole hair because my roots are too dark after she realized she screwed up my hair. She also cut way too much off. Haven't been really impressed with this salon. It looks like a typical salon but nothing luxurious about it. I had 3 cuts here with Lori. Nothing to write home about but did the job. I had another cut scheduled for this month. A few weeks back someone had shared with me that Lori had been let go from the salon. Not surprising, but I would have expected a courtesy call from the salon to inform me and offer other stylist options (or the option to move on). Nope. No call. Fast forward to the reminder call that I received today from them - you have an appointment scheduled with Kelly and no comment about Lori. This type of behavior feels shady and doesn't really garner trust in Body Bliss. I plan on finding another stylist elsewhere. read more
