So with that in mind, here goes; The Good: The food options are pretty awesome. If you haven't tried First Watch, Park Lane Tavern or Monsoon - where have you been!? The cinema really isn't the worst, the matinee prices are great and they accept military discount so Tuesdays are a great excuse to catch a movie for 5 bucks. You can walk around and go in and out of the shops as you please; Victoria's Secret, H&M, Francesca's, Bath & Bodyworks, Barnes & Noble and Finish Line (which is grand for fitting you with the correct running shoes for YOU in mind, and offers 20% military discount). The Bad: Shops don't seem to be able to stay open around here. I've seen a few come and go over the years and it sucks. And don't get me started on the additional PTC tax... but that's a story for another day. So overall, not bad Peninsula Town Center, still plenty of work to be done though!

The Virginia Air & Space Museum also offers a lot of events for kids and families - never a bad shout for young and old explorers alike. Dining or Drinking? There's plenty of options in Downtown, with the favorites being along E Queen St. Marker 20, Venture, Brown Chicken Brown Cow, Taphouse, Musasi, and over on Settlers Landing Rd you have Bull Island Brewing Company and Latitude 37. There's plenty of residential options, two higher education facilities, and retail options - just a stone throw away from I-64. If you haven't made a trip down here, give it a go. Retail shops are mostly independent and offer a range of unique gifts, art, jewelry, clothing, pottery, and more! So shop small, and support local!!! Downtown is defined by it's waterfront, and of course the marina and piers. There are multiple garages (mostly FREE) and on-street parking spaces throughout, but better yet, on a sunny day, the walkable area along Hampton River waterfront is breathtaking and incomparable.

She then tells me I have four items to which is her mistake because she realizes it's 5 items like I told her. I try the clothes on. I come out all the clothes in my hand. Ready to go look for more items and different sizes. I was taking all the clothes with me. I give her the piece back she says will you be taking them with you. I say yes she goes on to say well let me count them. Now I know for sure this is not protocol. She counts all the pieces and I left them right there. I've worked in retail you don't count the pieces people are intending to buy. If you are going to have workers that are going to stereotype customers hire new people. Maybe around 230-300pm. I won't be back.

I was in a rush that day and felt forced to sign up since the lady who checked me out wouldn't finish ringing up the rest of my things. As stated, the process should've taken "3-5" minutes, yet in total i was at the checkout line for over 10-13 minutes. I am upset and will not be shopping at this location again.

Granted a few racks were empty, while others slim to none, I still managed to walk out with some great finds. The fitting rooms were open, but I usually opt to try on clothes at home and if they do not work I'll return the next day. But today about noon, the store wasn't busy at all. It's refreshing to shop without bumping into folk whole pushing a cart through the tight aisle. Parking was plentiful. Checkout was a breeze. I checked out all the departments except purses and shoes. And I found something in every department. I love Ross! Something for everyone in here! I highly recommend this location. Have fun! I do want to shout out one worker in particular, I never caught her name but a man had come up to my husband and I asking us for money and she quickly saw the situation and pulled him aside and diffused the situation. She didn't kick him out and made sure everyone was comfortable in the store and I really appreciated that. I also love how the Starbucks in this location is so open and there are so many tables where I can get some work done or just sit comfortably and read. The baristas at the Starbucks are also very good and they have never once messed a drink up. Definitely my favorite Barnes and Noble in the are.a

I didn't get to find the shoes, but I was able to find a dress I liked really quickly. They turned the lights out on me & when I got to the register, the cashier had trouble ringing me up. After trying several times & even changing registers, it worked. I was able to pay and leave. The cashier was friendly, but the manager letting people out of the store wasn't. I don't understand why they changed their hours, but they should at least wait to shut the lights off when they know everyone is out. How rude. Lol.

Easter weekend was an extra 50% on top of clearance items which are already 50-70% off. I saved myself over $70 and walked away with a good few items. Love it!! Although... the lines were out of control on 29th March, but what can you expect with sales as good as these!? On a normal day, it's not the cheapest of places, but you can always find a good bargain. I also like the fact that there is a Sephora and a salon at this location - it's just a shame the selection at Sephora isn't the same as it's larger stores. However, you can do same day pick up if you buy online with all items, as long as it's in stock. Not bad! A solid 3.5 which I will round up - just because the staff have always been golden to me every time I shop here.
