    Repair upholstery... six chairs are horrible, and the cushions are sinking again

    2022 we purchased a beautiful dining room table and hutch. Six months later, the cushion sink and all the six chairs.. we were still under warranty and they came out and replaced the six cushions. A year later those cushions sink in again, but we were no longer under warranty, Colders recommend their repair company, Deborah Anderson Ray. The wife Deborah and husband Ray came into our home and replaced the cushions.. they did a horrible job, including repairing the chairs in our dining room and living room, and I had a lot of lint and materials to pick up after they left. I was so devastated. I refused to pay the full amount of $900.00. I'm disputing the rest of their lousy job of repair with my charge card.

    I had a great experience from the ease of ordering my chosen washing machine to the delivery. Every employee was helpful and kind. It came 30 minutes into my delivery window, they installed it and were out in less than 20 minutes. I highly recommend Colder's for the total experience.

    Instructions from the quick start manual.

    I bought a new washer from Colder's. The machine was delivered and installed in the laundry area of my basement. Like many basement floors, mine has a slight slope to it so that if there are any water issues that arise, the water will run to a drain in the floor. As a result, the feet on appliances must be adjusted in order to make the equipment sit level. My dryer, my old washer and even the cement tubs were leveled in this way. After the washing machine was hooked up, the delivery guys ran it through a spin cycle. Everything seemed to be going well. I asked them if they would level the machine. "We already did that," came the reply. "If it wasn't level, the machine would be shaking during this spin cycle," one of the men added. While all four legs under the machine connected solidly with the floor, it was not sitting level. This condition would place wear and tear on the new machine over time. I went and got a level, placing it on the machine to illustrate what I meant. The bubble in the level sat far to one end. The two delivery guys were unmoved, however, insisting the machine was level. They spoke to me like my request was idiotic, and one of them pointed out that he's been doing this for 14 years and he knows when a machine is level. Nothing I said persuaded them to level the machine. They left. I called Colder's, quite angry about their delivery guys' refusal to help perform a task that the manual even calls for. At first the woman on the phone defended them, but she ultimately agreed to send a second crew out to my home. They took one look at the machine and agreed the it was not level. They raised the front two legs on the machine, compensating for the slope in the floor and bringing it level. I wonder how many other customers have been dis-served by the original pair of delivery guys, refusing to do this very basic step when installing an appliance. Whether they were they ignorant or just gaslighting me because they didn't feel like doing their jobs that day is something I'll never know, but I will hesitate to buy from Colder's again as a result.

As someone who appreciates systems and inclusivity, you name it this place has got it down. Besides handi-capped parking there is parking for expecting mothers and parents with children! The bathrooms have complimentary toiletries. Staff is attentive. Finished off with the second meal place after checking out after we read a sign about free ice cream! :) who can pass that up, got a boat load of strawberry vanilla swirl. And a hotdog (for the experience) and had a complimentary cinnamon roll sample while we waited and figured out the self serve ordering kiosk.

Of course, it happened to be when we had a houseful of guests. The service technicians were timely, speedy, and very competent. They even managed to haul away the old and install the new appliances without any disruption to our card games -- our guests couldn't believe how quiet they were! Everyone was taking note of the Ritzman name on the delivery truck. Do yourself a favor, if you are in the market for a new appliance -- go to Ritzman.

    Date of service: March 21, 2025…read more Really appreciated that I could schedule an appointment online with Mr Appliance through their website as I tend to be crazy busy during working hours and loathe leaving voicemails for companies and playing phone tag. Jalen with Mr Appliance also came when they said they would come and resolved the issue quickly and easily. The issue was a grinding noise that our less than three year old dryer was making. an obvious sign that something was not right. Jalen suspected a potential blower motor issue and got to work on resolving it. 25 minutes later the problem was fixed: Excess lint buildup that got through the lint trip and into the machine, causing the motor to have to work harder than it needed to. He showed me all of the lint he pulled out, but he piled it up on the runner below the dryer and on the top of our glass-topped washing machine, requiring me to clean off the washer and wash the runner. In addition, it was $243 for less than a half hour of his time. If the service call is $129, that would make the hourly rate $200 for Mr Appliance--I am clearly in the wrong line of work! Unfortunately I can't really give more than three stars given the cost and cleanup from the appointment.
